Everything was perfect

Lovely spacious and comfortable room with private bathroom and view over field. Lovely sociable owner who speaks both English and French fluently. Close to airport so would be good for arriving or leaving Ventiane.

The second night it rained quite hard (not their fault obviously)but the rain falling on metallic rainwater tank outside was a loud non-stop drumming which stopped me sleeping. I told them it needs fixing but not sure it will happen. There was confusion when I rebooked through Booking.com but it didnt show up on their system. So the room was double booked and I was initially told I had to leave or change room which was unpleasant. The other room was unfinished and had no mattress on the bed. It was eventually sorted out though and I was able to stay in the room.

Very pleased. I stayed here for 12 days as I had some work to do. Strong WiFi, clean room, enough space in the room, has a fridge and microwave. The place is very quiet, uncrowded, even though it’s close to the airport the planes taking off sound isn’t too strong. The host is very nice, he’s available for anything. And of course the price is good. I saw reviews for other properties of the same price in the city - they kind of scared me haha. Then I saw the reviews for Ban Saylomleng - they gave me confidence about this place - and it really proved to be a solid choice.

Well for me the only downside really is the location. It’s about 15 minute drive to the city center. I downloaded Loca app which works good here, and to a taxi to the city center every other day. Then took takeaway food. Nearby there are some small stores, there’s a mini-bigC 10 mins walk. Overall the location isn’t ideal, but good enough.

thanks so much for my host, I was late cause my flight but he lets me go in my room after the check in time. He’s got a smile and he’s really nice! The hostel is near of the airport so we can go without taxis. You are peaceful in your room, with some practical stuff like a fridge or an air conditioning. He put me 2 bottles of water in the fridge and some little stuff like soap and toothbrush!

I found a pile of hair at my arrival in the shower, and a razor too, the remote control wasn’t clean cause it stuck but compared to the rest of the city, is was nothing and it was clean!

Som, who runs the place, is a lovely guy who is happy to help in any way he can, and he's fun to chat with as well.

As much as I hate critiquing this place, I feel the need to point out that it doesn't get cleaned very well. Cleaning should not only include things like the bed and bathroom fixtures. The floor needs to be thoroughly swept and mopped, shelf areas need to be wiped, etc. Little touches would make this place so much more accommodating, including something to wash dishes with, and a shower curtain.

Very nice place, very friendly and helpful staff and is 5 minutes from the airport.

But it is quite hard to find, if coming from the train station I recommend getting a taxi direct. I took a pick up and it took over 2 hrs to arrive and the driver struggled to find the place after driving around in circles, also dropping other people off in the city. This made me arrive very late in the evening. However it is 5 minutes from the airport and the staff can organise a taxi for you

I've stayed there for 3 nights. I slept well coz there were quite around. I had a room with a balcony and I got the amazing view of the green field, cows, and the airport. I could see the airplanes😁 It wasn't noise, only one morning there was a helicopter that flies around and it made me nervous coz that's a war trigger for me. Staff is friendly. The owners are extremely kind. There are two friendly small dogs, they were playful and that makes the cozy atmosphere. About the location - it's close to the airport. The way to the hotel is with a village style road, but if you move via taxi you even will not know about that) There is the opportunity to cook inside the room. There is a rice cooker, a microwave, dishes, a fridge. I asked for a pan and they provided that. But be ready to prepare some food ingredients by yourself. There is mini Big C and a street market near there. Also, to buy a drinking water in advance. If you prefer to drink coffee from the coffee machine, you can find that coffee in some pizzeria near Big C or just go to the airport 😁 About the room. I have read some reviews that the mattress is firm but I like that so, for me the bed was absolutely comfortable. Good internet, I could call via Zoom for a long time. So I in general like this place and definitely recommend that.

There was a bit difficult to open the door. Maybe there is need to check a locker.

Nice little hotel off the beaten track and very close to the airport. Extremely friendly lady to welcome me to the hotel, nice and chatty and very kind...… Room was an en-suite, with a good shower and bathroom, and I was also able to do some cooking as there was a kettle, plates and cutlery, a microwave and fridge in the room. But also have the opportunity to use the hotel's account online delivery service and get food delivered to the hotel, which was handy. Bed was comfy and my stay here was overall very pleasant. Can relax outside and have a beer with fellow travellers and enjoy the midday sun, in a very relaxed and cozy atmosphere. The man of the house, also very friendly, was kind enough to drive me to the airport for a small nominal fee......which was great. WiFi was decent too

The only negative was my window couldn't close properly, an old wooden window, and so a few nights I did get eaten alive by mosquitos....

The staff was very friendly and always willing to help my husband and I. Throughout this holiday we would say this was our best stay in 🇱🇦 Laos. The place was extremely neat and the room was surprisingly excellent. I really enjoyed being around the staff and guests. An excellent scenery around the place. Fully furnished room with an amazing bathroom. Ban Saylomleng Residence is a 10/10. If you looking for accommodation in Laos Vientiane. I would really love to take this opportunity to recommend this place to other tourists that are coming to Laos. I loved this place and I'm sure you would love it too. This accommodation made me feel like I was back home. Once again from my husband and I we would like to say thank you for all the help and support that you have shown us we appreciate your kindness.

There are NO Dislikes

It s in a quiet area and the owners are very nice. You get to the center with the inDrive app for 30.000 by motorbike. To the airport the taxi needs only 5 minutes. The owner came at 5.30 in the morning to tell me that the taxi arrives. They really care of their guests. They have two baby dogs that were so sweet. In the apartment is also a fridge and a small cooking area.

The bed laundry had different hair stuck into the blanket. The water did only flow very slowly out of the shower. The ac was sometimes not reacting to the remote.
