Charming old style hotel in a good location for walking around the center of Vientiane. The bed was super comfortable with enough cushioning to support the shoulders and hips - and one of the few that I didn't want to get out of in the morning while traveling through S.E. Asia.

Card payment system wasn't working. Collecting payments is a basic function and the staff didn't seem to know how to fix it. After two days, and on the night before departing Laos, I had to go to the ATM to get cash to pay the hotel. The hotel exchange rate was not in my favor. Extra hassle and fees on my part to pay the hotel - not good.

Beautiful hotel in a convenient location. Big and clean room. Good breakfast.

You have to pay in dollars as per Booking's price or let the hotel make the conversion to kips (at the exchange rate of the hotel's convenience). If you don't have enough cash you can pay with card but with an extra cost of 3%. And the hotel will keep your passport till you pay! Soundproofing of the rooms is not great: if guests next door arrive/leave, or take a shower, or speak a bit loud, or... you will hear them. If you're unlucky you may have a hard time to rest.

The room was small but well arranged. We had a window but it looked straight out on to a wall. Maybe check if that matters to you. We were in the old part of the city and a great location for walking the streets and also getting a tuk tuk. The breakfast was really good, western style breakfast as well as Asian, the eggs were cooked to order. The staff were friendly and helpful. The TV in the room was great, I could cast my phone to it and watch films. Electronic key, I love these over a traditional key, they are so easy to keep in your wallet/purse.

There was nothing I didn't like

We had a very pleasant 2-night stay. Our room was a good size and had all that we needed: comfy bed and pillows, mini fridge, hot water (even in the bathroom sink) and 4 bottles of water every day. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and breakfast was adequate with a few Asian choices, as well as cook-to-order eggs and bacon, and some fruit choices. Location is perfect, within walking distance to a large night market, lots of restaurants, and sights. I would stay here again.

Bed was exceptionally comfortable—as good or better than beds in high-end hotels in the US. Room itself was nice. Good AC. Complimentary bottled water. Breakfast was very good and included both Western items and local items.

The location is very convenient to the major sights in Vientiane. Because of the lack of house numbers and my limited cell data service it was tricky to find—I suggest you bring a printed map with the location marked.

A super 4 night stay. All the Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the room was the same and very comfortable. Shower facilities very good with all the necessary soaps and gels. Breakfast was good with a varied choice. Good location and all restaurants and bars within a 10/15min walk. Use the hotel for any taxi service, dont use a tuktuk. Will definately stay here again in October.

Great location and walking distance to main sights and restaurants. Staff were very helpful, spoke good English and booked our train tickets. The huge bed was the most comfortable we've ever had in a hotel!

Breakfast was OK but limited and not to our taste. We did, however, appreciate the coffee machine! Our room was very spacious with a big balcony which, unfortunately, overlooks a carpark. The windows back on to other buildings so there isn't much natural light

Our room was beautiful and really spacious. Very comfortable bed. The hotel was well decorated and maintained throughout and staff at front desk were helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and vegetarian options were available, but slightly less choice for vegans as most dishes included eggs. But plenty of fruit and toast. Location was central for getting to most places in the town.

It was tucked away down a quiet side street, which meant the view from our balcony wasn’t anything to write home about - but that’s the downsides of a city centre location. Other than that it was all excellent.

The hotel was simple but clean, and overall good value for what I paid. The location was convenient, which made getting around easy. Nothing luxurious, but it had everything I needed.

The only downside was the check-in experience—staff seemed a bit dismissive, as they were in the middle of lunch and didn’t seem too eager to assist. Other than that, everything was fine and I had a comfortable stay.

Excellent service from Lixay! (I hope I spelt his name correctly) I stayed here on my first night in Vientiane & it was such good value I came back again for my last night before flying out. The rooms are impeccably clean. On my first night, I stayed at the room beside the road. There can be some noise from traffic at night. On my last night, I requested for a room on the inside & it's quiet. However the airconditioning had some issues and didn't cool the room. Lixay was really helpful to explore options to mitigate the problem and I was satisfied with how the issue was resolved. Throughout the process, he remained calm. His keen customer service and great display of empathy helped to turn the situation around. Highly recommend to stay here if you get a room! Plenty of food options in the area.
