This hotel is a great find. It is within walking distance of any old town sight you’ll wish to see, Concubine Lane included. Much of the Heritage Trail is also very nearby. The hotel is, thereby, very close to many eating places, places to take a coffee, etc. In short, a great location. The hotel is a short walk from that area and has great facilities itself, including, sadly infrequent for South East Asia, hot water in the rooms. And high shower pressure! The rooms are quite large too. Mine didn’t have a chair but had plenty of room for one. The hotel staff were all very attentive but also chatty. They are happy to order you a Grab should you need one and to give advice on the location of sights and how to reach them. Finally, this hotel is exceptional value for money.

That taxi drivers have no idea of this hotel under its new name. It was called Pi Hotel and that is important to remember.

Got free parking at basement, free breakfast, the room very comfortable, easy check in & check out process. Got iron & iron board, electric kettle, hairdryer, tv, aircond, fan and everything function perfectly.

Actually i book standard queen room, so should get 1 large double bed but instead they give me twin room. For this stay, im still okay since i travel for work purpose & only 1 night but if for leisure, i need double bed so that i can sleep comfortably. Maybe the receptionist need to check carefully.

1. The room size was as expected, had a nice view of the town. 2. The toilet was also a decent size, good water pressure, was clean also. 3. The location of the hotel was right in town, its less than 5km from most of the famous eateries, you can walk if you wish to. 4. Check in and check out was easy. 5. Every floor has a water refill station. 6. There is a coin laundry just opposite of the hotel if you wish to do your laundry. 7. Plenty of parking space for the guests so parking is not an issue if you wish to drive to Ipoh. Overall for the price paid, it was a comfortable stay. Will recommend to other people.

It is a new hotel. The room smells great and is immaculate. The location is fantastic. Within walking distance, there is a halal restaurant for lunch and dinner with a wide range of food. On Sundays (6.30am - 1 pm) you can go to Pasar Karat Ipoh or Loken Market Ipoh, a second-hand goods market in Ipoh that sells varieties of antiques and vintage collections such as old furniture, old kitchenware, old coins, and much more.

well done with the upgraded room. it is very clean.

the bathroom door...i think it is wrongly installed. it gives a difficulties when you want to use the sink. the door should be swing open to the wall not to the sink. please change it. appreciate it. Also, the front office staff should be more courteous and should be more knowledgeable of the hotel surrounding.

I think my review title says it all! My room was quiet and cosy, the staff were always smiling and helpful when I asked something, and the hotel is in a great location near a variety of restaurants, right next to a Sunday morning street market, and about 10 minutes walk from the fascinating old town. Ipoh is an interesting small city to visit, and Pi Hotel is a good value base for your trip.

There was quite a bit of dust on the tables and floor in the room when I checked in, but it only took me a couple of minutes to get rid of it.

Great location 10 min walk to old town and 10 min opposite direction to night market and food places. Other food places on doorstep. 15 min walk train station. Great air con plus ceiling fan. Main bits clean and comfy. Stayed extra nights so was good. Water coolers to refill bottles in hall.

No fridge or kettle in room but i knew this. Cleaning could he a bit better round edges if you're really fussy or bothered about dust. Room quite small. A map at reception would have helped. We were pointed in the wrong direction for old town with tourist sights but did find night market that may not have come across had we gone other way. The next day we found the tourist info the opposite way. So hotel in middle of both so all.good in the end.

Evening shift staff don't know much English so communication was bit difficult other than everything was great I enjoyed my stay and would love to comeback and recommended to all my friends

The facility is sufficient. The location is good because the old and new town are in walking distance. There are many food courts and restaurants around the hotel and you can choose whatever you want.

Wifi connection was sometimes unstable. It takes 20 minutes from Ipoh station on foot. Although I enjoyed the walking, I recommend you to use a taxi or the other public transportation if you don't like it.

The rooms is just nice and value for the money. Only no entertainment because the TV channels are very very limited. We only can view 2 channels only. Hope the management can take a look on this

Buffet dinner is nice and have so many choices. I get free breakfast and I am enjoyed the breakfast
