All of the staff were amazing, lovely and friendly. They made us feel very welcome for our short stay. The hotel employed security guards which made us feel safe. The location is great, a short walk to the old town and the river walk. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Plenty of space to unload bags. There is a 7-eleven in the lobby. The shower was nice and hot.

There was a bad smell coming from drains in the bathroom. The layout of the bathroom was a bit awkward It was a little bit too expensive. No english TV channels. There were only electrical plugs on one side of the bed. No fridge in the room.

Excellent stay by the Old Town of Ipoh, only 5 min from it, and 10 min on foot from the Ipoh Train Station. Beware as there is no zebra crossing by the station so you have to be careful crossing the dual carriageway or instead pay for a Grab to get you there. There is a doorman and someone at the desk in the lobby who is manned outside of Reception hours - The Reception is on the highest floor, same as the restaurant, so you have a lovely view. There is a 7-11 right there in the lobby which was most useful during my 6-night stay (10-16/11/24). My room was on the 9th floor so I had a lovely view of the river and of the New Town of Ipoh - i could open the window but to be fair the AC was very efficient. The room was very big and refurbished and I like the new wall art. The shower was strong, the facilities more than adequate, and there was water available on my floor. You had to give a cash deposit that would have been returned on departure or, if you pay by card, it is not required - they will still check your room upon departure. You can leave your bag with Reception on the ground floor after departure which is useful for last minute shopping. The staff was very welcoming. I had breakfast there one morning of my stay - chargeable 30 MYR but worth it - with very good Malaysian dishes and a great view to complement them: I had dinner there once as well that was extra. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to visit the lovely town of Ipoh - or even to use as a base for exploring Taiping, another lovely town not so far away by train, where I had a great time.

Our first time staying at your hotel and was surprise you called it 3 Star when its offering 4 Star service. Its accessibility is most strategic and within walking distance to various foody outlets. I must say your staff are excellent customer centric and very approachable. Your check-in is very unique as the main reception is on the 12th floor while you have a meet & greet on the ground floor. One drawback is the drop-off at the main entrance is a little narrow as the traffic is heavy and dangerous. Also the management may want to consider extending the shuttle service from the railway station to the hotel and vice versa. Overall our one day stay was excellent and wish we could have extended it for another day. Maybe next time round. Thanks Greg

Newly refurbished in modern understated design, the room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was nice and I slept well. Housekeeping was excellent and everything was very clean. The checking desk and cafe on level 12 look beautiful and stylish, with views over the city. Convenient location within walking distance to all the attractions in the old town. All the staff were helpful and pleasant.

Some sewage smell from the bathroom (why do so many hotels have this problem?). Things I would like to have in the room but didn’t : 1. small hand/face towel, 2.black sugarless coffee (not just that 3-in-1 sweet stuff that is so popular in Malaysia)

Location is superb. Walking distance to Concubine Lane and all the popular eateries tho most of it are overrated but apparently this is the most touristy part of Ipoh. Good that they provided ironing equipments in each room. Other facilities are what you would expect from these hotel tiers.

Check in wasn’t smooth. Maybe it was my hard luck for checking in at 3 PM, but I queued for 30 mins just for checking in. Not even any complimentary drinks given and it was a hot sunny day. No bottled mineral drinks in the room and no sugar/creamer to complement the tea/coffee provided. Parking was very limited and we had to park at another space, tho not very far, you have to make several loops of driving to reach there. But frankly I think this is the best hotel for it’s level in Ipoh.

Rooms are recently renovated and clean. Beds are comfortable and it was not noisy although there is big mosque nearby. Drinking water is provided in common area at the levels we stayed at. We waited sometime for our room during check in but it was okay as long as our rooms were cleaned properly by the cleaning service.

Checking in process takes longer time than expected because the rooms were not ready then; probably because the cleaning service were shorthanded. We finally checked in at 4.30 pm. We waited at the restaurant area slightly over 1 hour before we could go to our rooms. We hope we could be informed via whatsapp if the room cleaning was going to take sometime.

The location and the friendliness of the staff. Room was clean. However, you need to get some empty bottle/tumbler ready as the hotel did not provide bottle water in the room but they have a water dispenser on the floor. I might be wrong, but I stayed there for 2 nights , there is no bottle water provided . not to worry. There is a 7 eleven at the ground floor where you can easily purchase the bottle water.

Parking was a little bit complicated as you need to park about 200 metres from the hotel (St.Michael School parking lot) and there is no covered walkway from there to the hotel.

The location is great, not far from train station so we did even walk from the station to the hotel. Adjacent to concubine street so tourist spots nearby and right in the city. Sunday morning went to the flea market and that too was very closeby to walk. Really didnt even need a car and could do a lot of walking to the spots with my family.

checkin at 12th floor and only allowed to do checkin after 3. there was not even a consideration for earlier checkin or to check if rooms are available early. something the hotel can work on. I arrived at 1 and had to wait till 3. luckily there were places to go nearby so i jsut went to have a lunch and wait outside.

The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were very spacious. The provision of a water dispensing facility is a plus point. I prefer this to the daily complimentary 2 bottles of mineral water for each room. Staffs were very friendly and helpful and the reception on the 12th floor is a good idea as guests checking in can have a good view of part of the Ipoh skyline. Location of the hotel is great as many famous eateries are within 5 minutes drive.

The guests drop-off area is very dangerous being so close to the road and the limited parking bays available for hotel guests. The additional parking diagonally across from the hotel is very inconvenient especially when it is raining as well as having to brave the traffic while crossing the road. I don't understand why face towels are not provided and we have to pay for it. Housekeeping also failed to provide an extra pair of sandals, toothbrush, etc although the room was booked for 3 adults. We had to call reception / housekeeping twice before the items were sent to us.

First of all, we loved Ipoh more than any other cities in western Malaysia (apart from Langkawi). Ipoh is more Cantonese influenced so we can find foods, buildings of our interests. Hotel has the best location to the train station as we use trains as our transport from Penang and KL for next stop, and is close to Ipoh old town, where we spent most time of. Didn't have enough time to try all facilities but room is clean and bright, air-con is strong and lifesaving in the weather. Didn't drive but Grab has a spot to pick up and drop off so all is convenient. Convenience store just downstairs so easy for snacking.

Lobby is under construction so a bit hot and messy while we were there. But I am sure once renovation is done, everything will be perfect.
