I love how near the concubine lane is. The place was supper easy to get food. I love the aesthetic. The shower is the best. The water pleasures the best felt like raining in shower. The table was so big & amazing.

I hate that the toilet doesn't have bidet. How the wall was so thin that u can hear people walking outside. Super noisy. I hate that the swimming pools were so far from the room u have to go outside the building to go to the swimming pools. The floor has lots of unfinished nail, so it's hard to walk. They do prepare slippers for us. I have that they don't show direction for kiblat.

I stayed here for a week. I was concerned at first as reviews keep mentioning about noisiness and smell from hawkers downstairs. Fortunately, I didn't encounter any of these issues. Overall, pleasant stay. The hotel vibe might be eerie for some. But it is what I like about the place. Strategic location. Walking distance to tourist attractions and food places. I can literally see Concubine Lane from my window. Only 5 minute drive to KTM and Padang Ipoh. Strong wifi signal. Instagramable at every corner. Great place for friends gathering.

May not be child-friendly especially for small children. Also, might need to bring mosquitoes repellant. Expect floor creaking sound when you walk and you could actually hear neighbours talking. Just imagine you staying in aesthetic industrial-themed kampung

The apartment-sized room with designer touches was interesting. There was enough space and variety of furniture to hang out or eat together or sleep separately with some privacy. Loved the charpoy bed, full length window doors which open out to the balcony and flowering vine. Generous and nicely placed lighting, good ambience inside at night. We spent a lot of family time indoors although the location is great.

The building is showing signs of maintenance challenges. The ceiling leaked in many spots with some drips over seating areas. One left a big puddle on the floor. Broken door handle on the door was not repaired, left with holes and a cheap latch and padlock for security. Could have provided some coffee and tea or at least some drinking water. Really wish the attention to housekeeping and maintenance matched the design vision.

The entire building design is minimalist style and ancient-look. Windows are clean.

Does not have water dispenser. Would be good to have sheer curtain so that guest can open window to enjoy natural air while remain some privacy.

Been staying here every time we visit Ipoh. We love the entire place, the concept the decorations, interiors, the surrounding shops and streets. Many attractions are within walking distance. Parking is based on luck, it’s street parking so first come first served but we’ve never had too much of a problem with parking. We have yet to chill at the pool even tho we’ve been staying here multiple times.

There’s only 1 lift and it’s quite old, but not really a big issue for us. The receptionist has quite a monotonous demeanour which again, doesn’t bother us so much. Only thing that matters is the place we stay and how incredibly it is.

It was a huge room - with elevated sleeping pods - serious stylish and unusual and there was a pool The outside seating area was delightful

For the price I think we should have had bean bags to sit on inside our room.

Quite hard to find! I asked a local shopkeeper for help. Also a bit noisy.

We loved the unique look and feel of the hotel and its design. The theme is the same throughout and well put together. The hotel location is fantastic and the great to explore the area around. The host was friendly and helpful. Our room was also spacious, with a small apartment feel. We wished we were staying longer than one night. Loved the pool too.

The reception was hard to find but the lovely people working around the hotel were a great help. The building is old and therefore comes with some charecter that some people may not like but we loved it.

Everything!we arrived quite late and we inform the hotel that the check in time will be at 8pm-9pm,the receptionist help us alot,room is spacious and comfortable when travel with friends,the facilities all in good condition..its in central location and i can just walk to go to attraction place..soon i will stay again here with my family

I want to go for swimming but the pool is not clean enough,toilet with no bidet in my room but its fine,quite noisy with foot step from the above floor but not all the time..i still can sleep for the whole night

When we first entered the hotel, we did not feel welcomed. The approach of the tall Indian male receptionist seemed sarcastic. We arrived looking for the receptionist, but he was not at the counter; instead, he stayed behind us and never informed us that he was the receptionist. He kept pestering us as if we were being scammed. Only when we called for the receptionist did he come to the counter, saying, "See, now you need my help." This is not how guests should be welcomed at a hotel. This experience left us frustrated at beginning.
