Location is brilliant with many eating places, the night market and public transport links all nearby. Staff were quiet but friendly. Had a lot of character, I liked the fact that the entrance was always crowded, food stalls were right at the door. View of Street from the balcony was constant entertainment. The room had been recently part painted but the hotel decor seemed old and tired but again looked like it fitted perfectly into the area. Great air conditioning

Had to kill half a dozen small cockroaches in the first couple of days. The shower sprayed water everywhere but was hot and constant under the spray. Air conditioner run off pipe emptied across the wet room floor.

The hotel is just a 5 minutes walk from the Pasar Seni station, next to the main transport hub KL Sentral. Bus stations are also nearby. Food court can be found across the street in front of the hotel. Not a new building but clean. Air conditioner functions well. Great staff and always willing to help when you ask for.

I loved my stay of 3 nights in Nan Yeang Hotel. The location is just perfect: close to everything in Chinatown and close to busstation to catch the free purple line to Bukit Bintang etc. I stayed on the 5th floor, had a room with a balcony, shower with hot water: in the hallway free hot and cold drinking water. Though on a busy street, it was quiet in my room and I had good night's sleep. Very good, fast wifi! The best thing is the very friendly and helpfull people working in NYH, the cheerfull cleaning ladies (if you want they can clean your room every day) and, above all, the very friendly, attentive and helpfull reception.

Good budget option in a very good location. Slightly frayed around the edges but everything you need. Room came with a window and a balcony for less than the price of other options around the price level that are all windowless. Staff helpful, happy to print my visa paperwork gratis. Ho and cod water dispensers every floor.

No hot shower water unless I was missing something not a large deal in KL climate.

You know what..I’ve stayed in more expensive and newer budget hotels that had more awkwardly designed rooms and were dirtier. Nan Yeang is CLEAN! The hot water shower works just fine. The bed is comfy, the air-conditioning works well. The old guy at the counter is LOVELY and is so warm and welcoming. Furnishings are a bit old but hey I’m not complaining because of the price. I’m just staying for a place to sleep.

Right in Chinatown, 1 street away from the noisy Petaling Street. Hard to find comparable budget room at similar price range & if one isn’t too particular with aged room but contend enough with a good working aircon, hot shower and basic amenities.

The staff is so accomodating they allowed us to check in early without charge. This is my third time booking at them because the location is near to all attractions, bus station and Petaling Street

The Wifi provided is indeed very good. A plus point if you're bringing millennial kids with you. Besides, the room is kept clean and tidy. Albeit the sheets is a bit worn, but that's a sign of frequent cleaning. Lastly, the location is definitely the one reason you probably choose to stay here. Be it lunch or dinner, all is just a stone throw away. In fact, I didn't realise Petaling Street is so vibrant and convenient that you don't actually have to go far for all the good food.

Hot shower could be made more reliable. It may last for one to two person showers. More than that, the hot water no longer running. There are no hotel parking, but there is an option for paid private parking behind the hotel which is capped at RM20 with hotel endorsement.

The staff are brilliant, from cleaners to reception, Rooms are tired and need updating, Very close to Chinatown and good eateries, We stayed here 3 times leaving large cases in reception and travelled light to Langkawi, Penang and Singapore.

Shower head is non existent, just a stream of water. Needs replacement.
