Breakfast was amazing. Location in the heart of Chinatown across from Jalan Petaling market, great for most people (not my fave but not a problem either). I liked the friendly person who ran the reception desk, appreciated the clean & orderly rooms, it was easy to extend my stay multiple times, and the open air lounge space was excellent. Had everything I needed & more, including filtered water dispensers in each corridor. Really affordable rooms to suit any guests' needs & travel style and budget.

2 of the 3 air conditioners I used were a bit faulty - one was loud & clicky, and one the remote control did not work. There were no bedside lamps, which would have been a great feature. One staff member creeped me out by making long, unsmiling eye contact whenever we passed, which was often because he was there a lot. The community fridge was very full & unregulated. These honestly didn't stop me from enjoying my stay or getting a decent night of sleep though.

This was my 2nd time staying at Rain Forest Hotel. They fixed wifi problem while I was away (just few days). Comfortable beds, efficent AC and fan to cool my room. I just turn both off before sleeping, because they are quite noisy. Room stays cool all night. The balcony is very nice place to hang out when it's raining or too hot or you just don't feel like going outside for any reason. Perfect place to meet other people, make yourself cup of coffee, read a book or plan your day. The staff is super nice and helpful. For the price I feel like I get more than I pay for. Location also pretty good (for vegetarians and vegans too)

Great location in Chinatown at Peeling Street gate, very close to Passar Seni metro station and bus station. Close to Central Market, restaurant street, 24/7 laundry. Rooms, bathrooms are clean. Toiletries are provided. Air conditioning is quite strong and noisy but clean. There is a kitchenette, space and a very nice roof terrace to relax with air conditioning and fan. It has a small artificial fountain and some plants. The staff is nice and helpful. I have been to Kuala Lumpur several times and every time I booked this hotel.

Minor: the rooms are small but totally fine for me, the air conditioning could be quieter. You can hear a small fountain in the rooms.

The location is absolutely great, just a couple minutes walking to Jalan Petaling main food street and less than 10 mins walking to train stations, it's also surrounded by many local restaurant and shops. The ladies at the reception are very friendly and kind. There's a big water bottle in the hallway so it's a plus. The hotel is, in general, clean, tidy, and safe. Overall a nice budget hotel with excellent location, will come back again next time.

The room is smaller than expected, not enough space but it's ok compared to the affordable price. The shared bathrooms and toilets are just ok. The hotel is next to a bar so it can be pretty loud at night, consider bring earplugs if you're light sleeper.

Unfortunately other guests there were extremely inconsiderate with slamming doors all night and people making a huge amount of noise out on the balcony at around 3am so had very little sleep in what is actually a fantastic place for a solo traveller - the room was safe and comfortable. I would encourage the staff to try to get all guests to consider those around them by putting some ground rules in place for visitors. May also need to look at the locking mechanism for the doors as I think that was adding a great deal to the noise there

The location is fantastic for China town. Rain Forest hotel is super clean - toilets and showers are cleaned multible times a day. And you never have to wait as there are plenty showers and toilets. The terrace is super cosy and you can use basic kitchen facilities. There is free water, coffee and tea and even bread with jam etc in the morning. Irene in the reception is super friendly and I was able to check in early for free and she also printed my e-visa and ferry ticket for Indo for free. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very good location in the middle of Chinatown, close to the Pasar seni train station, bus station, self-service laundry, shops, restaurants, bars, and food outlets. Right next to Jalan Petaling. Also close to the Central Market. Comfortable room, comfortable bed. Clean. Shared bathroom, shampoo, soap, towel available. Kitchenette available. Nice and helpful staff. Upstairs by the rooms there is a very nice roof terrace with air conditioning, greenery, a small fountain and a place to relax. I definitely recommend it.

The fountain could be quieter.

I was concerned when I booked this Hotel. I had another Hotel booked but reviews kept mentioning cockroaches so I cancelled and booked the Rain Forrest Hotel. It was superb. Clean bed sheets, clean bathroom, nice small desk, good WiFi and excellent aircon. I arrived after they had closed they sent me the access code for the door and my room keycard was waiting for me at reception. I had a late check out and kept the room for an extra 5 hours. Many restaurants and shops close by, alcohol was available if you wanted it within 2 minutes walk to the seven11 No insects at this hotel, looked at the hotel I had cancelled and was glad I had. Fantastic stay for the second time in KL.

Nothing Great place to stay

Great location! Just a few minutes walk from Pasar Seni entrance A, not directly at the main road hence it makes it very less noise from outside. I like the forest theme design and the lovely decorated balcony, feeling peaceful from the busy streets. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is clean and I didn't expect the strong shower pump which I am satisfied with. Since it is a budget hotel with wooden room partition to separate rooms, I wish all the guests could be courteous to talk softly during night time.

Great location, comfy beds and friendly staff! Would definitely recommend if looking for a place to stay in KL! Very close to KL sentral on the metro and walking distance to loads of tourist spots. Very clean too

No soap in the toilets and the AC temperature couldn't be adjusted, it was already set although it was a good temperature so can't complain about that too much. Only other thing that was a bit inconvenient is the fact that to have electricity in the room you need to keep the key card in the door, but since I only had one card it was a bit annoying if I wanted, for example, to charge my phone for an hour or so whilst I had a walk or to put the AC on whilst I had a shower before bed.
