Very good value for money in a central location. Excellent pool, much bigger than other hotels in the area, and with a relaxing atmosphere to it. The studio room is quite large and comfortable; it has a large fridge and microwave oven too (no dishes or cutlery, though). The cleaning staff is nice, they responded to our requests promptly. Breakfast variety is good, but almost exclusively Asian dishes (Malaysian, Chinese, Indian). The reception staff was also professional and prompt for check-in and check-out. WiFi worked very well in the rooms all the time.

For us personally it wasn't a problem, but be advised that Western breakfast options are extremely limited (almost non-existent). Most of the guests nowadays are Asian and Indian, including many families with children, so the breakfast room can get crowded and noisy at times. However, in our case around 8:45h every day it was possible to get a table immediately, so with some flexibility and open-mindedness one can easily adjust and enjoy the multicultural atmosphere. In the studio rooms it would be nice to have at least a few dishes and cutlery, since there is a kitchinette after all.

Great value for money. Awesome location. The room is really nice... it could be quite confusing because the hotel is huge. Overall, awesome stay. I'd stay here again.

The hotel is quite old and some of the items in the room need updating (i.e. carpet, bathtub, shower)

ROYAL CHULAN Aug 01,02,03 2025 Reservations for a Deluxe double room, instead  got 2 singles,Room 415A. Arriving early, the hotel stored our luggages. Check-In at 3 pm, very smooth. The room is smaller than expected, not very bright, but clean and tidy. Friendly staff on the 4th floor. Weak soundproofing. Breakfast offers many sélections: mostly Malay,Chinese, Indian,  pastries, fruits, and excellent coffee.  Very limited options for Western palates.  Superb freshly cooked egg roti canai with choice of flavour, plain, strawberry or pandan. Same menu daily. Good stay but not as great as in the previous years. Special Thanks to the Roti Chef for the on-demand order on Saturday.  Check-out in one second.

A lamp - a light should be installed in the room near the table next to the sofa.

First things first! I miss the smell of this place, I wish I could have my home small as good as it did in this motel!! Breakfast was an amazing array of multi cultural food perfectly cooked and displayed, room service was excellent, dinner in the dining area was absolutely amazing better than we have had anywhere, the steak and burgers were the best we have had. The service provided by the many workers here at any time 24/7, was impeccable! They were friendly, caring and so helpful, they literally remember your room number, what food and drinks were your favourites, we will miss this place so much 11/10 can’t recommend highly enough, a massive thank you to everyone at the Royale Chulan !! Can’t wait to bring the whole family

I have stayed at the Royal Chulan many times over the years. I like it because it has huge comfortable rooms and is set in its own quiet compound a block or so from the bedlam and extensive shopping of Bukit Bintang. Although recent construction has rendered that block or so quite a trek, a new MRT station at its front door has now made it super convenient to locations throughout KL. Notable also are its breakfast options, which span the whole Asian range along with the usual Western offerings.

While the room was certainly 'broom clean' and quite acceptable, it needed a thorough scrub to bring it to the 'gleam' level of major hotel chains. In fact the whole hotel could do with some major TLC.

The hotel is in an excellent location. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. The pool was an excellent size and there is a small gym which was adequate for our holiday needs. Staff were helpful & friendly. We were able to walk to all main attractions.

Restaurants were not open during our visit and it would have been nice to be able to relax with a drink at the end of the day but there is no on-site bar. That is just us nit picking. The Pavillion mall is just up the street and there is an excellent wine & beer choice to take out and enjoy on your balcony.

I book apartment..it was spacious..buffet spread was splendid ..lots of variety. They even set up traditional breakfast ( sarapan dulu2).. actually we just want to have a good break after some hard work..it was definitely the best choice..

One thing that really troubles us is there is water at toilet floor..donno where it comes..we only use toilet and showers..but water from donno where are flooding sampai toilet door..maybe becoz lantai hole jauh at below sinki or maybe water leaking from the tiles..other than this the room is perfect

Not a high rise, traditional Malaysian style building, 5 minutes walk to the Pavilion mall. 20 min walk to Petronas towers. Superb choice at breakfast. Spacious but a little dated room.

The ‘kitchenette’ advertised as part of the studio didn’t have any plates or utensils. The pool was nice but every time there was a tiny bit of rain the staff immediately wanted to close it. We only managed to use it once. The window in the room was broken and couldn’t be properly closed so the noise from the next door building site would wake us up at 8 am.
