Excellent location, just in front of Jalan Alor, room is very clean and new, I guess it is due to the renovation from Ibis before it took over the business, sound isolation is perfect, my room is on the first floor, facing Jalan Alor, there is no noise at all even when all the stalls are in business, free breakfast is a bonus, food selection and quality is ok, do not expect luxurious facilities, but water machine and laundry service are there, which are quite useful for budget travellers, with this price, I would stay in this hotel again if I would go to KL again in 1 or 2 years

Great location, right at the end of Jalan Alor street—step out of the hotel and you’re directly on the famous food street. The room was comfortable with all essential facilities, and a good breakfast was provided.

According to the description on Booking.com, dedicated parking was supposed to be available at the hotel. In reality, there are only 10 basement parking spots, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Fortunately, we managed to secure one. Paid parking is also available nearby. Additionally, a hair dryer is not provided in every room and must be requested, subject to availability, as the hotel has only a limited number.

Good

The rude, rough and arrogant behaviour of the receptionist on duty (the elderly person) during the night of 22/05-23/05. I along with 7 more family members have occupied 4 rooms during 20/5/25-23/05/25. The said receptionist had misbehaved with me and another elderly family member, shouting at the top of his voice. He had shown his mean mindedness by not providing the coffee/tea materials for the next day (the room was vacated at 0415 am on 23/05 and the materials were requested at night on 22/05 which he refused in a humiliating manner and shouted saying it will not be provided in advance.... and used some unwanted and unpleasant words). Hope the hotel Admn will take a serious note of it and reply. All other staff at the reception deserve an applause.

Ibis Styles is located at one end of Jalan Alor food street. The stalls remain open well past midnight, but none of the frenzy is disturbing. The room size was adequate for 3 of us, all adults. Basic amenities were all available and additional ones are provided on request (For example: Hair Dryer). Breakfast isn't fancy and might be limited, but that will do for the price you pay.

Nothing really to call out.

Good security for parking at hotel basement. Hotel receptionist is effective and efficient. Room is clean, lighting is bright and aircond is strong. Location is very accessible for those who likes to try various food choices at Jalan Alor, from Chinese Muslim to Thai and Vietnam. Shopping mall is nearby, i.e.Sungei Wang, Lot 10, Pavilion. Public transport is convenient.

Gym treadmill is under service. I replaced it with brisk walk around neighbourhood.

1) Kevin at the front desk was friendly and approachable. He ran an one-man operation at the front desk but everything was done in a breeze. Kudos! 2) The room was quite spacious and comfy. I like it that the local TV channel carried World Cup matches live. Wow! 3) The breakfast was nice. 4) The location of the hotel was right at Alor Street. This is the reason I stayed here again after 3 years. 5) The lift automatically goes to the floor you are staying at after tapping the room card. Fantastic!

1) The washroom cleanliness has definitely gone backwards since the time I stayed 3 years ago. Just a good scrubbing and the washroom would be good to go again! 2) The corridor outside the rooms could do with better lightings and vacuuming of the floor. 3) The eateries around Alor Street have changed a lot, my sense is that the crowd is now more tourists than local, and the price has perhaps adjusted to be more expensive as well.

Room was Comfortable, clean bathroom and bedroom, with balcony and great view of food street . Great location for night food market and busker music, not far from a number of malls.

Gym facility, both treadmills broken and reported but not fixed within the week we were there. Was informed by receptionist that Laundry machines were broken and not likely to be fixed fir couple weeks.

Hotel is well located and good value for money. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good size room and bathroom. Facilities provided were good.

Hairdryer not provided in room and only limited available upon request from reception. Cleaner on floor 7 had to be reminded to provide refills and toilet paper. Reception slow to reply to requests.

The location is perfect for enjoying street food and shopping around the hotel. Hotel staff is very friendly and provided all the requested facilities without delay.

Buffet breakfast didn't had many varieties.
