after reading reviews with rate of 6++ in this site, the hotel exceeds our expectation. for us, it's just great. we love the forestry like surroundings, the calmness and facilities.

breakfast can be improved. lightings in bathroom can be brighter. but all still good. the hairdryer is a bit funny (as i also read other's similar review), it will turn off itself after like 3 minutes usage.

I like the scenic viewww, the food was good surprisingly bcus I kept seeing comment about its not good so I didn't expect much but wow it's good. Went there during ramadan and they delivered our sahuur, definitely gonna come back

The design of the resort are unique. It feels like surrounded by nature. Got mini farm, great places for photo. Everything is great.

We got upper level room, and downstairs neighbour complaint noises of baby footsteps running to and fro (we brought our 2yr old kid). Its a log cabin, of course you will hear noise. Luckily our wifi room broke down (or maybe its coincidence), we got transferred to other room. This is the only thing that bring down the rate to 8, or else i will put 10/10.

Price and maintenence inside resort ( Gardens, pool etc) , breakfast very poor

Really impressed by the ambience of the room made by logs from Rusia. We booked two villa rooms and were thankful to have the 2nd floor facing the pool. Amazing view with the man-made waterfall. The balcony was clean and perfect to unwind. As the rooms were built using logs, we could hear other guests' voices but luckily other guests on the 1st floor were cooperative. My room has a fan as an alternative for the air-conditioner. It was cold at night so we opted to turn on the fan. Unfortunately, the fan for another room was not working. We had our dinner at a vegetarian restaurant next to the pool. It was unexpectedly great! We had a buffet breakfast in the morning, with sufficient menus but it could be better with more varieties. The room rate included a complimentary farm tour. We had the chance to try the berries and grapes. The tour guide made the 40-minute tour a fun and joyful one. Overall, it was a great weekend getaway for our family.

Breakfast could be improved e.g. by having more tasty fried noodles and nasi lemak with pandan leaves aroma since the menu is limited.

Lack of activities...can provide fish feeding activity, orchard walk..etc

Time check out I don’t like because property set to checkout at 11 a.m…my kids not enjoy to swimming because we rushing to checkout

Why check out time is 11.00 am. I travel many place in Malaysia. All the hotel & resort we stay check out time is 12..00 noon. Last time we stay at philea check out time is 12.00 not 11.00. Reservation call me at 11.20 am ask me why didnt check out. We were rushing at that time. All my family members left the room without taking a shower....hahahaha.

Philea Resort: What we loved is their Restaurant Service – especially under the supervision of Ms Anna – she cooked very authentic Penang Style Street Food – we loved the Prawn Noodle, Curry Laksa, Char Kuey Teow, and their Cendol & Ice Kacang! Loved it! Ms Anna and the front counter staff are all very friendly! Very Helpful. Especially Front Counter Staff Cik Aishah (I hope the spelling is correct). Very friendly, very helpful. All the Buggy Drivers and Bellboys are excellent in service! Even the Pool Attendant is very friendly and helpful and very accommodating! He helped to monitor our belongings while we went back to the Villa to pick up something! Yes – the Spa, the Gym and other restaurants might not be ready yet – after the COVID Pandemic, MCO and recent big flood in Dec-2021! But the pool is excellent – we love the pool colour, the base of the pool (stones and sand) – very natural! Really enjoyed the time!

Minus Points: There are some parts of the Villas need refurbishments. Example – our Villa’s fan not working, but in view that the air-con is 3-HP and cool enough, we just compromised on the fan. Most important point: If you are light sleeper – easy to be disturbed by noise – try to AVOID downstairs room/villa – as it is built by Log Cabin, so even a slight movement of other tenants might create noise – imagine if your upstairs guests are active children, then you’ll be hearing noises and their foot steps all night long!

The setting and the room were amazing for relaxing .spa well worth a visit

The resort is 40 mins from melacca,there is a free shuttle. Even tho advertises 4 eating places and two bars, be aware only one bar which opens at six and food choices somewhat limited
