Our stay for 4 nights at Sandy Garden was very comfortable, the rooms were clean and the resort itself was generally well maintained. The location, being right in the centre, with access to the market, and very close access to the beach, meant that we could pop in and out for meals, shopping or for a stroll on the beach whenever we liked. The staff was helpful and the breakfast options were also nice, with interesting variations every day. Overall, our stay was pleasant and I would recommend staying at Sandy Garden to others, especially those travelling with family. We travelled as a group of 9 adults and 4 children.

The only thing I would say that is a downside is that there is no seaview from this property.

The location was excellent, and the breakfast was tasty with several options to choose from. They provided beach towels, which was nice. However, even the bath towels were made of synthetic material, which didn’t feel very comfortable. Drinking water and basic toiletries were available in the room. We stayed for 2 nights and no one came to clean the room during that time. The soundproofing was terrible — we could hear everything from the neighboring rooms. It felt more like a motel than a proper hotel, and it wasn’t cozy at all. We couldn’t get the hot water to work, so we had to shower in cold water. There was a large cockroach in the bathroom, which was very unpleasant. The towels were synthetic and didn’t absorb moisture properly. There was no wardrobe or closet for clothes. And the WiFi didn’t work at all — it was completely useless.

The location is outstanding - not on the beach but a very short walk to beach and great restaurants. Also mostly quiet for a great nights sleep! Spacious room and large comfortable bed. Staff were lovely - everything we asked for was never a hassle.

Breakfast was fine but we gave the coffee a miss. The room and resort lacks maintenance - dripping taps, dirty door and window sill. But would we stay there again - yes!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Pool was clean and a good temperature. Room was spacious and cleaned daily. Breakfast buffet was varied and tasty.

The internet wifi was hit and miss. It was quite good at the breakfast and pool areas, but poor in the room. The walls were not soundproof, and we could hear conversations outside and in adjoining units. Unruly guests were in the pool and kicking balls around until midnight. It would have been good if someone had moved them on. We still enjoyed our stay overall.

We had the suite which was for a small extra the best choice compared to the other rom categories and that we had a private inner yard, a very spaceaous room and a huge bathroom with natural headlight, bathtube and open shower. The air condition worked flawlessly. The resort team was overall very friendly and did everything with a smile. The head lady at the reception had an answer to all our questions and always found a solution which worked for us. The pool was bigger than expected, clean and also available at night. The breakfast was basic but fine and consisted of three options, indian, malay, western.

The location and the suite itself were great. Only some thins we noticed. There were gaps between windowframe and wall, which allowed mosquitoes to enter. The bathroom didn't have a fully closed window to the terace. There was an anti mosquito repellent plugged in a plug in our room which didnt help. Also, we didn't ask for another one as we didn't want to have more chemicals disposed in our sleeping room. For the pool it would have been nice to have had a shower next to it. That would let one have a quick swim after the beach and prevent people unhygienically using the pool unshowered.

This accommodation was just a short walk from the sea, which was a huge plus. There was also a swimming pool, officially open until 10 PM, but we stayed in until 11 PM, and no one seemed to mind – a nice touch of flexibility! The room was spacious and clean, making our stay very comfortable. The only minor downside was that noise from neighboring rooms was quite noticeable, but it wasn't a deal-breaker. Parking was available right in front of the hotel, which was super convenient. The reception staff was friendly and welcoming, making check-in and check-out smooth.

Great location - literally in the middle of Cenang; everything is walking distance; the beach, shops, restaurants you name it. The room is very spacious and bed was comfortable too. Plus 1 also for the water dispenser provided on-site so we’re not using much waste! Free breakfast was also not bad! Staffs were super friendly and helpful too so I’d definitely recommend this place!

The room/toilet could be cleaner - there were some leftover trash in my room (an empty Nescafé can and some sealants that were just left in the toilet sink). The floors could also be mopped than just swept! :)

Great location, huge room! The brick wall in the room. Nice and clean pool. They kept our bags both because we arrived early and left later.

The shower head is in the middle of the bathroom so everything gets soaked when using it. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, especially the pillows, they are way too stuffed and hard.

The staff has a good service attitude, and the location is in the scenic spot, so it is convenient to go anywhere.

1. The washboard in the bathroom is too narrow to hold anything wider. 2. The angle of the shower head should be changed to overlooking, and it is more convenient to take a bath by lowering the angle, otherwise the water will rush to the opposite wall.
