Lovely, spacious accommodation. Large airy bedroom and huge bathroom with his and hers sinks, shower and jacuzzi bath leading to a large outdoor shower with hot and cold taps! Hot water was always plentiful. The hosts, Marie and Thierry, were friendly and welcoming, even lending me a bike to explore. Beautiful private garden and amazing swimming pool. We stayed for three nights and had a varied breakfast each morning cooked by Marie, including juice, eggs, ham, salad, fresh bread, homemade jam, pastries and a fruit platter each with many different varieties of fruit, beautifully presented. Coffee machine and a microwave in the small kitchen to make your own drinks. Lots of filtered water in glass bottles provided to save buying plastic bottles. Very quiet, peaceful location. Fantastic Italian restaurant within a 10 minute walk, Il Padrino, where the waiters were amazing and the food was great. Close to a local beach.

The room was very cozy, beautiful furniture, had a large outdoor private space as well, the bathroom is HUGE, with jacuzzi, two sinks, two showers (one indoor one outdoor), there is also a kitchenette with kettle, fridge, dishes and all you need to have some food.. Thierry and his wife are wonderful hosts, ready to help while letting you have your privacy.. and the breakfast was amazing! That homemade jam won't be forgotten. Thank you!

The surrounding area lacks a bit of atmosphere but the best beaches (Flic en Flac and Le Morne) are only 15 minutes drive away. Some beautiful restaurants are in the area tho!

The property lies in an authentic area near a small beach but also near beautiful la Preneuse beach. It is run by a very nice couple, the were really helpful and kind. The room and the bathroom (both inside and outside) are extremely clean, the garden is beautiful and the pool is clean and quite big. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was excellent, with a lot of fresh fruits. Thierry managed to us to see dolphins and whales, it was an absolutely unique and special experience!

Lovely spot, beautifully decorated room. Spacious with separate room for kettle/fridge and more. Great breakfast, especially appreciated the fresh fruit. Tranquil garden and swimming pool area.

Room was well air-conned. The separate "kitchenette" room got a bit warm though, would've been nice with a fan there. The list of amenities includes a laundry machine, no such was available. Asked and got a firm no.

We stayed at Sweet Island for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. Marie and Thierry were very accommodating, the breakfast every morning was delicious, the swimming pool was amazing, and the whole atmosphere was really relaxing. The place is a very nice size with a large bathroom and really nice set of showers. The area has a bunch of nice restaurants close by and a marina that offers excursions.

Nice little clean place close to the harbor and beach, really nice hosts Thierry and his wife are very helpful and hospitable. The room was clean and very cozy with a huge bathroom and nice outdoor shower as well.

Maybe not the best location. You need a car to get around.

We stayed at Sweet Island for a week and it was wonderful. Marie and Thierry are so great and absolute friendly hosts. The room and the large bathroom were super clean every day, we could arrange the breakfast according to our preferences, and actually all of our wishes were fulfilled! There is also a kind of little kitchen with a big refrigerator, a nespresso machine, a microwave, some glasses, eating irons (knife, spoon, fork) and plates available. The pool and the outdoor shower as well as the large garden are just gorgeous! Thierry had given us some great tips - the highlights were the kayak tour, the Tamarind waterfalls and the gorgeous beaches. Thank you Thierry and Marie for your hospitality!

Delightful hosts who go out of their way to ensure their guests have the best time. From a gorgeous breakfast delivered to the veranda every morning to help and advice on using the available bicycles and kayaks to explore the local area as well as spotless presentation of very spacious accommodation. We couldn’t recommend enough for guests to explore the National park and it’s beauty. Don’t hesitate to select Sweet Island for a wonderful stay.
