The welcome and check-in was efficient and hospitable. Reception team (all) were helpful, efficient, smiley staff throughout the entire property, some names to mention are Ishvari, Vikesh, but everyone actually. The layout of the hotel re. bedrooms, restaurants, pools etc. The design of the hotel using a good amount of wood to give an interesting aspect (unlike other properties). All the facilities on offer were exceptional. The main restaurant Ravinala's breakfast buffet offered so much choice; Mariola and the team there were hospitable and the service was very good. Again for dinner there were buffets with different themed evenings, made it interesting, terrific. The pools were well situated and of a good design - and relaxing with plenty of sun loungers around and also on their section of the beach. Boathouse for watersports was a bonus, the team here being unsung heroes. Gaitree our maid was so personable, helpful and efficient looking after us for 9 days. Parvesh, Front Office Manager was welcoming and took time out to chat as did Preetam the Rooms Division Manager and Patricia, also many members of staff too from Chefs to service staff like Didier. All in all we really enjoyed our stay in paradise!

Staircases needed some checking. Otherwsie cannot think of anything negative. A big refurbishment project was taking place which has to be done to keep the property in fine shape - positives for us was fewer guests about but balanced with the fact the Gym and Spa were unavailable (although some spa services were still available in a section of bedrooms).

The resort has an excellent location on Flic en Flac Beach, also close to Tamarin Bay. Being on the west coast, we had the opportunity to admire amazing sunsets every evening. The resort has a big garden with lush vegetation, where you can see also many colorful birds and other small tropical animals. We had a superior room with ocean view, Le Morne view and also adults only pool, which was very convenient for us. The food was great and the staff also, everyone was very polite and supportive in any situation. Also I had a very nice experience at the spa. The lady who made me a relaxing massage recommended me to use a hydration gel for the face. I really appreciate her suggestion, now I use the product every day.

Great day, Welcoming was warmful. I didn't catch the front office lady's name, who checked us out also, was courteous and professional. Neesha ( forgive me if wrong pronunciation) organised a cake for my daughter's birthday, we appreciated very much for this special day. Staffs very friendly in general, barman Vishal very helpful. The pool was enjoyable. We were alone in the pool most of the time. The hot section buffet was interesting. There was enough to choose for a good, enjoyable dinner. One night there was nice.

Food options should be with more varieties, not value for money, on cold section buffet and breakfast Hot section. Missing some attractions and activities on Sunday. Was a bit heavy atmosphere. Sea by the hotel front must get a clean up. We wanted to enjoy the sea too, but it was rough with corals under our feet not agreeable to have a good swim there.

We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. ..I have rarely eaten as well in a hotel as I did in this one. Every time they came up with different delicious dishes and there were always surprises in the selection. The staff is very, very friendly and extremely helpful and polite...always a smile on their face and never too bad to fulfill a special request. The section of beach in front of the hotel is clean and well maintained... only the boats from the watersports affect the view of the horizon and sunset... otherwise great! Pool area great...super nice service at the pool bar!

Basically it's hard to say what not to like... You cannot book a taxi ride to your room, even though there is a cooperation in the brand and logo. There are three free-roaming dogs in the area...but they are very harmless...but if you are bothered, that could be a negative point Lots of birds at the dining table, which wasn't always nice

Food. We booked half board and I have to admit that the quality was one of the best I ever had in hotels. The choice isn’t too big, but I truly enjoyed. The beach was clean and maintained well. Super family friendly - almost all guests are families with kids. However, it didn’t feel crowded or noisy.

The hotel is significantly worn out and outdated. Some things are literally dangerous - see that pin on the floor and imagine stepping on it while walking barefoot to the bathroom. Cleaning is poor, mold here and there, dirty cups, super soft back-pain-guaranteed mattress (perhaps to hide another one underneath) and many other issues. The blooming green lakes were horrifying, especially the fountains jetting that mud up into the air.

The hotel's beachfront is one of the nicest in Mauritius, although it was rainy season it turned out it doesn't rain much at the hotel's location. The hotel provides some really nice complementary services such as glass-bottom boat ride, snorkeling, etc... Restaurants were really good with a wide variety of international cuisines.

Staff need upskilling when it comes to basic coffee making. It was almost impossible to have an actual cappuccino at the hotel. Also when cleaning the rooms the staff should pay attention to close all doors and windows to avoid any insects and reptiles inside the room. I instructed them several times to keep all doors and windows closed but they did not fully comply

Well, from check in to check out, the place and the staff were impeccable. Particularly Naveed, he was the nicest and the most professional guy I have seen, the way he handles the bookings and customer care is above and beyond. A true asset for Sofitel. Ayush at the beach cafe also needs to be accredited for being so great with customers and guests and he put a smile on everyone's face I saw him interact with.

The location is quiet, the rooms are spacious, the hotel lobby is open to the air, especially the restaurant area

The bed is very bad and uncomfortable due to excessive use. It is not firm. The towels are old and do not live up to the hotel’s name. The shower area is open to the room and there is no privacy. It is only suitable for those who love nudity

Amazing huge green territory. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing beach and huge pool. Nice buffet for both breakfast and dinner.

The room felt a bit tired. At the breakfast I was surprised by the fact that you need to ask for assistance to get some fruits like watermelon and passion fruit, and you will receive it in small potions when you ask. A bit weird for a 5 star hotel.

Very nice stay, we enjoyed the time there. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very clean and beautiful views. Dinners were really nice.

The only downside i can think of is that the location is a bit remote and if you don't have a car you're a bit stuck at the hotel. They were renovating certain areas and this ruined a bit the look of the hotel.
