Unlike the bland four star hotels nearby, this place has a magical architecture and the rooms are colourfully and imaginatively presented. Comfortable beds and furniture, great kitchen, perfect shower, short walk to beach and buses.

Loud music sometimes at night from the big hotels. Noise from a pump coming on at unpredictable intervals can be irritating if you have trouble nodding off.

The area was quiet, stone-throw away to the beach. The owners are very caring people and always there for help and offers some great suggestions on how to go around the island.

The only thing i didn't like was the swimming pool downstairs, which had no guard rails around it for safety especially to kids, since we had a 4-year-old who likes or is used to play outdoors, but other than that, it was superb.

We liked pretty much everything about this place. It's comprised of a bedroom (a comfy double bed and AC), a bathroom and a sitting/dining room with a TV (which we never turned on :)) and a fully equipped kitchen (large fridge, gas, microwave, coffee machine...), as well as an extra single bed. We slept well, we liked the esthetic of the place and, even though we weren't cooking, having an actual kitchen came in handy on a couple of occasions during our stay. The location is really nice. It's in a quiet little street (biggest source of noise - chirpy birds) that's only a few steps away from one of the best beaches on the island, as well as some nice restaurants and one of the main supermarkets in the area. We also have to mention the host, who is an absolute treasure. Relaxed, kind, at hand whenever he can (text at random hour: "Do you have some clothes pegs we could borrow?", two minutes later there was a knock at our door and there they were). Do not miss the chance to try out his restaurant for some tasty authentic food! We ended up going a second time and it was probably our favourite meal of the whole trip (which really says something as food is generally great in Mauritius). Don't hesitate to ask for help organizing an excursion around the island either, we ended up spending a lovely day touring the south together.

My wife and I loved staying at Villa Kissen - lovely building - we stayed in the front one of two similar buildings in a double room, with cooking facilities, on the top floor with terrace to the rear. Room was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. Small pool attached to rear villa with sheltered sun terrace - we didn’t need it as beautiful beach was so near, 5 minute walk. Supermarket 5 minute walk. Kissen and all his family were super helpful and cheery.

Nothing to dislike - spent 7 nights there in total comfort

The room was really comfortable, furnished with everything you would need, and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and came to clean every 2 days. The host, Harry, was exceptionally helpful in helping me with my itineraries. He picked me up from the airport, made recommendations of great places to shop and visit, and made time to drive me everywhere. I wouldn't have had such a seamless vacation without Harry's help. I highly recommend this apartment.

Everything. I highly recommend this accommodation. Lovely family running this hotel. It's very clean, very comfortable, safe, very close to good supermarket and nice bakery. Good internet, hot water. I felt like at home. I organised for a day trip with the owner on the island, and I was able to visit everything I wanted. I also think they have the nicest beach on the island.

Incredible value for money. My apartment had everything you might need for even a very long stay. Fully equipped kitchen with absolutely everything you can need, new, ecological AC, comfortable bed, enough space to host up to 3 people. I absolutely loved the decoration and overall vibe of the studio. The location is also perfect, very close to the beach, bus stop, shop,... And most importantly, Mr. Kassim was really kind and helpful and so was his family. I really felt great at this place and would love to stay longer.

The place was clean and comfortable. The room was on the 3rd floor with a nice view. You could hear the waves from the ocean. Very close to the beach and bus stops. The host was nice, and gave sweets for Diwali.

You could hear music from the nearby hotel but that stopped around 11pm, so it was not a bother.

Perfect accomodation for your stay. Beach, supermarket and restaurants are very close. The apartman is cosy, well equipped, spacious, brightly coloured. The host and his family are attentive, helpful and nice.

Very convenient for the beach, restaurants, shops and bus stops. Very quiet, on a side street. We appreciated having a cooking facilities. The balcony was great. Exceptional value for money.
