My wife and I checked into Sea Diamond Boutique Hotel in April 2025. This is a fantastic location in Grand Gaube. The staff were simply marvellous, from the moment we walked in we were met by incredible hospitality. It was clearly apparent that the staff have been carefully selected and highly trained to offer the best service possible. My congratulations to the Management, they are doing a great job. From the reception personnel to the Restaurant staff to the housekeeping staff and gardening all the staff look happy, smiley and always at hand to offer help and advice. The accommodation was more than I expected, clean, spacious and very comfortable. The swimming pool was excellent a great place to relax. The Gym was more than adequate. The view from the Restaurant and bar was simply divine! Sipping cocktails on the bar terrace watching the sun set behind this vast Indian ocean is what it's all about. The restaurant offered a variety of food from traditional cuisine to Mauritian cuisine which is a fusion of Indian, Creole and Chinese dishes. My wife and I would definitely be going back again to this wonderful Hotel as soon as possible. My thanks to the staff for being so welcoming.

The sea level around the beach was a little low but did not stop me from swimming daily.

The breakfast was exceptional, and we had a lot to choose from. Our room was spacious, and the jacuzzi was excellent. We missed having windows in the apartment, though. The staff went above and beyond, exceeding our expectations in every way. Every team member was friendly, approachable, and eager to assist us with any questions or requests we had. Their positivity and dedication created a welcoming atmosphere, making us feel right at home. A special thank you goes to our waiters, Ramma and Ryan, who truly stood out with their warm and attentive service. Their kindness and professionalism made our stay all the more memorable and enjoyable.

The hotel is brand new so everything is spotless and in fab condition. Beach is just gorgeous. Staff are lovely!

If travelling in a couple - there isn't an enclosed bathroom so there isn't much toilet privacy, so this might not be for everyone! The beach is small for the hotel size and gets lots of seaweed on. Since it's very new there are some teething issues - we had to send a lot of food back and there were a few breakdowns in communication /language barrier - though I am sure this will be improved.

It was an incredible experience. The staff from dining room to reception, housekeeping to management were great. All very friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. The hotel was super clean, with amazing views, and peaceful. The food was exceptional and we had zero complaints. The waiting staff also made it very memorable! Management was also keen is making sure our stay was flawless and that was appreciated.

Beach was a bit narrow and the sea water was not clear. Unsuitable for snorkelling.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sea Diamond Hotel & Spa, and we must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! We had a smooth, personalized, warm and efficient check-in; the room was spacious, clean and well-appointed, and all the amenities offered by the hotel were on point, including the beautiful pool, the restaurants, the gym, the spa and more. We could have enjoyed the facilities more, but we were also busy exploring the surrounding areas and driving across the island. We enjoyed starting the mornings with a delicious breakfast of various savouries, fruits, and pastries (my 10-year-old daughter says the croissant was to die for!). The seafood plate for fine dining was brutally exceptional—a real one! (The picture says it out loud!). Thank you, Ramma, for the suggestion, and Laurice, Nabsha, and Sabine, for your professionalism and generosity. We wholeheartedly recommend Sea Diamond to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway (solo travellers, couples or families with kids). We left feeling rejuvenated!

Breakfast time could be up to 11am, instead of 10am, which we found too early. Easy mornings during holidays are the best.

We had a wonderful stay at Sea Diamond Boutique Hotel! The staff were wonderful! Enzo, Ankush, Cader, Shravan, Rama, Romeo, Ishika and Jonathan all went above and beyond in making sure we had a wonderful stay. We went with our 8 month old baby and they were really attentive to his needs and steamed vegetables for him each dinner. The view of the sea whilst having breakfast was absolutely stunning and having fresh crepes each morning was wonderful! We enjoyed the dinner set menus and the live music on alternate nights was a lovely touch. It was fun borrowing the kayaks and pedalo boats for free. The sea beach area was nice and serene and shallow, we would recommend taking sea shoes as there are some hidden rocks. The rooms were beautiful. We especially liked the junior suite with bathtub as it was so spacious. There was ample storage area, a four poster bed, a bathtub, huge shower and also a sofa/seating area. The infinity pool was really nice and often empty when we went to it! They also have a daily afternoon tea between 4-5pm with free teas and coffees and some snacks which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family!

I wouldn’t recommend getting the suite with private pool as the room is quite a lot smaller than the junior suite with bathtub and the pool is quite small and very cold. There were quite a lot of bugs and wasps around in the garden area of the private pool suite as well, so we couldn’t enjoy that area. Overall I’d recommend going for the junior suite with bathtub. It was quite a drive from the airport (over an hour).

Everything was wonderful, and the staff are truly the best. Thank you all. We had an extremely pleasant experience from every perspective. The rooms, the staff, the reception, the hospitality, the environment, the atmosphere, the flexibility, the beach, the restaurant, and the cleanliness. Everything was truly exceptional. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous; my kids and I had no issues spending the day at the hotel rather that going out, matter of fact my kids preferred it. This is my third time in Mauritius, and without a doubt, this has been the best hotel experience I’ve had so far. A special thank you to the ladies at the reception and the gentlemen at the entrance, they made us feel genuinely welcomed and very nice and helpful. One thing that really stood out was how safe the hotel felt. There are cameras everywhere, and I didn’t even feel the need to close my room door when stepping out. Which made our stay even more relaxing. I did encounter a couple of minor issues; my daughter’s room made loud clicking noises at night (likely from the furniture) and the pool does not have a heater. However, these did not take away from the overall experience. In the future, I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to stay at Sea Diamond again. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team, you are absolutely amazing and a big part of why we had such a memorable stay.

We had such a great time at the Sea Diamond Hotel. We travelled with our one year old daughter and the staff looked after us extremely well. By the end of our stay everyone knew our little ones name :-) The hotel is truly a boutique accommodation - the service was super bespoke and the hotel itself is/felt brand new. The room was spacious and stunning, one of the best hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. The food was excellent - the hotel even offered to cook for our daughter separately. But what made this hotel truly amazing was the hospitality of the staff - literally everyone was just so kind to us (note we stayed at another place in Mauritius where we had a completely different experience). The whole experience felt 5star, thanks so much for having us.

Unfortunately there was a cyclone passing the region with strong winds which has made the water a bit cloudier than I suspect it generally is, however the views were still breathtaking and this didn’t impact our stay whatsoever.

The staff was very nice and helpful. Also the location.

No open buffet in the hotel except Thursday. I don’t prefer the menu set food. All the hotels around the world have open buffet to give the guests different choices. Even the drinks not included with the food. I had to pay for the water and Pepsi. The breakfast was open buffet but with limited food variety. The room design was not great. Setting area, bed, shower area and the sinks all opened together.
