Everything was fantastic except the mosquitos. Also hotel next door had happy hour every day and good music so didn't need to drive there.

I've been to mauritius more than 6 times and have never experienced so many mozzies. May also have to do that neighbours plants and trees are overgrown and it seems house is run down and no one lives there.

- the hotel room is spacious and clean and features a fully equipped kitchen - it has a beautiful and well maintained garden; in the morning you can hear all the birds singing and it’s simply amazing :) - nice pool with sea view :) - private parking - very friendly and helpful stuff :) we appreciated their attitude and attention a lot!

- not a real minus, just good to know: there is no restaurant nor a bar. It would be nice for at least small refreshments, but they do have water at reception and a sister hotel where you can have dinner (they provide a shuttle bus); there are also a lot of restaurants in the area or in Grand Baie

The property is well maintained, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ensuring guests feel comfortable. It’s located right on the beach and while the beachfront itself isn’t swimmable, a short two-minute walk along the shore takes you to the stunning public beach at Mon Choisy, perfect for swimming. The property sits right between two of the island’s most beautiful beaches. Each morning, we enjoyed long beach walks - either 3 km along Mon Choisy and Pointe Aux Canonniers or 2 km along Trou aux Biches. Evenings were perfect for peaceful sunset strolls. The studio apartments are surrounded by lush greenery, and from your balcony, you can enjoy breakfast with serene views of the vibrant vegetation. In the evenings, when we were tired from walking, we relaxed at a poolside loungers enjoying spectacular sunsets. The rooms are spacious and come with a small kitchenette, equipped with everything you need if you prefer to cook. If you have a car, there is a parking lot on the property which gets filled quickly by early evening, but there is a nice public parking just 30 meters away where there is always space.

We stayed for three weeks, so we occasionally craved some TV time (I know, I know - we should be unplugging on vacation!). However, the TV was quite small and the sound quality wasn’t great. That said, it’s a minor issue and likely wouldn’t bother anyone staying for just a week or two. You’ll definitely need a car to reach supermarkets for daily shopping or to dine out in the evenings, as there isn’t much entertainment in the immediate area - unless you explore the neighboring hotels. That said, the property does offer a complimentary ride to a restaurant at a sister hotel located about 4 km away along the beach, which is a nice option.

Beautiful location close by Mon Choisy beach! We had a lovely apartment including a little kitchen area and highly enjoyed our stay here. Mon Choisy is a beautiful beach which can be accessed by steps leading down from the pool and fron there its only a three minute walk. The pool area was beautiful too. The staff were very friendly and Cindy, who organizes the tours (such as boat trips etc.) is very helpful and accomodating. Breakfast can be ordered (if not included in your booking choice) and included fruits, jogurt and pastries. We can recommend Mon Choisy Beach R. for a relaxing stay.

Beach is not right in front of the location, but as mentioned a 2-3 minute walk (but for us that wasn't a a drawback). Also one should know that the hotel next doors often plays loud music during the day and evenings, some might find this annoying (again for us it was fine as we went to bed late and our room faced in the other direction).

The property is right next to the glorious Mont Choisy beach and overlooks the sea, so there are beautiful views. The gardens around the property are beautiful with lots of beautiful birds singing in the trees. I spent a lot of time enjoying the flora and fauna from my balcony. The room was really nice and clean and it was know to have kitchen facilities to make tea and toast in the morning. The staff were amazing and helped us with organising cabs, excursions and even wrapping our sarees for a wedding. Special mentions to Sanjay (we miss you, buddy) on reception who dealt with all the dramas we threw at him and Cindy for organising our amazing boat trips! The trio wouldn’t have been the same without you both.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property, but travellers should be aware that the aren’t lots of bars and restaurants around Mont Choisy, though there are some lovely ones so do check them out. You can walk to Trou aux Biches where there are some more restaurants or get a cab to Grand Baie. Don’t forget to prebook cabs as they might take a while otherwise

We had an amazing stay at Mon Choisy Beach Resort. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool area is lovely and looks out to sea. It's a lovely quiet area minutes from the beach. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance and getting taxi's to other busier areas is easy enough. Would recommend going to the Super U in Grand Baie for supermarket needs which is a short bus or cab ride. What makes this hotel great is the amazing staff. We would like to say a special thank you to the maids that helped dress us in our traditional wedding outfits and looked after us whilst we were there. Cindy was great and helped us with booking excursions, answering questions and arranging a car from before we arrived in Mauritius. A massive thank you to the best reception team Fatima, Trishna and Sanjay who helped us so many times! We miss you all already!

It was easy to arrive to the parking lot in front of the hotel. The garden is a beatiful well-kept tropical garden that leads to a swimming pool, that comes with a beatiful view to the ocean. There is a door by the poolside that leads to the ocean shore and can be opened with the hotel key-card. The breakfast is minimal, but it was delicious. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is spacious and clean, the staff is very helpful.

The doors include security locking features, so it's almost impossible to close them silently. During the night it the door were slammed by other guests, so a couple of times it was uncomfortable to wake up to it.

- very clean rooms and pool area. - we had the sea view room - the view was lovely. - adequate kitchen for self-catering. We made omelets / scrambled eggs ourselves. - in July sunbeds available at all times. - a very peaceful and quiet pool area. (I have active children, so I was a bit worried that they caused too much noise..., however, nobody complained, most were wearing head phones) - the breakfast - though a bit pricey - was nice with the following for per person: coffee/tea; croissant, pain au chocolate, white bread with jam and butter, yogurt, fruit bowl. What you do not get is any kind of warm food (e.g. eggs, pancakes, bacon) nor cheese / cold cut meat. You can order it for 8-10 am. We requested to have it earlier, e.g. 7.30, which could not be accommodated. However, we actually got it at 07.40.

- the location was not 100% optimal for our needs. I should have done a bit more research. 1) As it gets dark early and we did not have a car, we ended up eating twice in the restaurant at the hotel next door (Mystik) and brought pizza home once. We could have ordered a taxi of course, but our preference would have been to look at several restaurants and then make a choice. We did not feel safe to walk on the side of the road with no street lights and no actual sidewalk. 2) No grocery store nearby. Closest 2 km away. I am ok to walk that distance, but not at night (it gets dark by 6.30 pm). Close by a very poorly equipped, quite strange store. 3) the Mont Choisy beach has a dedicated swimming area marked by ropes and you cannot snorkel around as there is boat traffic.

One of the things I liked most about this hotel was its beautiful garden. Although it is pretty small, it is very peaceful, quiet, and there are some very nice plants. It's right next to Mont Choisy beach, which is also a great advantage. It is also quite close to Trou aux Biches Beach, about 30 min by foot, 5 min by car, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius. Our room was ok, not too big, but sufficient for a shorter stay, 1 week, max 2. We always managed to park our car in the hotel's private parking, although it is not very big. But even of you don't find a parking place there, there's still a good free public parking next to the hotel. The staff was friendly; our room was cleaned every day. It's a great place to relax, I would return. I liked this place more than any busier areas like Grand Baie.

I didn’t like that, despite the many mosquitoes, the rooms didn’t have mosquito nets. They gave us mosquito repellent that you plug into the socket, but we still had to be very careful about opening the patio door in the evening. A mosquito net would make such a big difference, you could sleep with open door instead of the air-con. Apart from the beach, there isn't much within walking distance - no restaurants or supermarkets - but this didn't bother us since the area was peaceful and clean. Having shops nearby would likely have made it busier and noisier.
