NADA : The location is exceptional you can access the main center La plaza, by walking, You are near restaurants, cafe, tourist stores ( I avoided them), the area is so safe, so peaceful, I highly recommend

Location to Centro Art district, Staff amazing kudos to Chava he helped me locate various snorkeling/diving locations by taking the local buses. It would’ve taken me 2 weeks to find these exact spots I wanted to explore

Nothing . Maybe set the room temperature at 24, everyone was asking higher and lower. I got sick on my last night, but I also could’ve used the blanket they gave me but it was fine when I slept, someone changed it late late and I was already asleep 💤, but I always come back here, LOVE THE PLACE

This was my first time staying in a hostel. I'm 63 and really wasn't looking for dorm life but I wanted to try the hostel experience. Having a private room allowed me to do that. One of the managers is a massage therapist so I had a massage while I was there. It was wonderful and a great value. I liked that there were reasonable rules that everyone respected. Everything was very walkable. There was a common area and seating outside, giving you the option of engaging with other guests or chilling alone. There were many restaurants, shops and galleries nearby. I hadn't been to SJC in many years and it's turned a bit "hipster." Overall, it was a great experience and has me considering hostels for future lodging. What I liked the most the very relaxed vibe. I was only there for two days, but they were two days of calm that I needed. I would not hesitate to recommend Desert Heart Hostel!

Desert Heart Hostel is a true gem. Miguel and the volunteers go out of their way to make you feel like family from the moment you arrive. The hostel’s central location makes it perfect for exploring nearby galleries and restaurants. Miguel’s warmth and hospitality create a welcoming, home-away-from-home atmosphere. First of all, THE STAFF! They are amazing! They are very friendly, very helpful and very attentive. They make you feel home. You can join them for cooking,eating, chatting,hanging around,etc. Secondly, THE LOCATION! It is on the best street of the town, which is the heart of the town too. About general things, over all it is clean ( Abel, remember to take a break sometimes of cleaning😉) and spacious and has everything you would need in the kitchen. The owner Davi continuously improves the bostel by renovating and changing furnitures, decorations,etc

Nothing, but It would be nice if you provided / lent a beach umbrella and a cooler box that guests could use for a day and sold at least soft drinks.

Perfect location in San Jose, close to the center and the art walk, all of the great restaurants, the fair, the gym, pretty much anything you could need. The staff is very friendly and kind. they all made me feel very welcome, and were receptive to any questions or concerns I had.

The only reason I didn’t give the hostel a 10/10 really isn’t even their fault - the noise. With the location being so central, you can often hear music from surrounding bars or restaurants in the evening, especially on weekends. Not a big deal, just bring a pair of ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.

Excellent hostel in the heart of San Jose del Cabo right on the main street but void of noise which was fabulous! Very comfortable bed, pillow and soft blanket, the staff was warm and kind. Strong wifi and great coffee in the morning, what else could you possibly want or need?! I would definitely stay here again!

Like all good things in life, if you pour love into something it blooms. Davi and the volunteers have mastered this at desert heart. I came alone and was treated to pure magic. The building is located in the heart of the arts district and is clean, safe and warm. Best hostel stay I've ever had - topping many hotel stays. Thank you for an incredible trip!

The bed we had in the couples room was one of the most comfortable I've had in ages -- including my own! Staff were extremely helpful as well, it was our first day of the trip and we had a number of questions and errands - they were so patient and helped us with all of them 10/10 👌
