The location is amazing, and the staff is very friendly. Food at the restaurant Habanero´s is also great.

They have a policy, that does not let you take a towel to the beach. I think most people that arrive by plane, don´t bring a towel, and for the price we are paying, I think they can put a system in place, to lend a towel to guests! Our room (Besame Mucho) does not get WiFi signal, so the TV/Netflix does not work well. The pool is freezing cold, would be great to make it warm! While the location and service are great, it seems a bit overpriced, but this seems to be a general condition in San José del Cabo.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed! A perfect boutique hotel! The staff are so professional, kind and extremely helpful. There are the best restaurants within walking distance, literally across the street! When I left, I felt like I was leaving family. This is an exceptional one-of-a-kind place. The beds are so comfortable, and the rooms are stunning! The pool area feels like an oasis and everything is so clean! I will definitely be back. I highly recommend El Encanto in every way!!

Beautiful property in the Art District. Short walk to many places. Easy walk to take the Ruta del Desierto bus to various beaches. Haberno restaurant is adjacent. Had wonderful meals in their courtyard and enjoying margaritas poolside. Staff all friendly. Great to have a coffee maker in the room.

There is nothing we did not like about this property however will note that after making reservations, read elsewhere online reviews complaining about noise from places in the area at night. So glad we did not read this earlier as may have not booked and missed a fabulous experience at El Encanto. It is a resort, noise at night will be true anyplace in town. We live in a city so are accustomed to the occasional need to use ear plugs or a pillow over our heads.

Gardens are beautiful. We had a room with a garden/pool view. We previewed the annex which was nicely landscapes and the rooms smaller. The location is terrific. There was an attached restaurant that we only tried for breakfast which was excellent.

We were there during the St. Joseph's festival which was 2 blocks away and extremely unable to sleep noisy until 2:30 am. Don't go then. It was during 3/26-27 in 2024.

The hotel was much more attractive than it looked on the website. Room was beautiful older style Mexico. Quiet. Overhead fans plenty for a cool night sleep in February. Peaceful setting in lovely part of old town. Pool quiet and surrounded by greenery. Restaurant attached where we ate dinner was a little expensive we thought but ok to decent food. Walked to local cafe from hotel for breakfast. Wished we had stayed a little longer! The part of the hotel across the street would have served our needs for a one night stay. Didn’t see the rooms but looked like another nice garden setting.

Was a little expensive to stay in main hotel. Worth it if staying a few days??. Should have selected the annex as only staying overnight and didn’t have time to enjoy pool as weather too cool in morning. Negative reviews on booking.com put us off.

This is a gorgeous hotel in the downtown area of San Jose del Cabo. We actually stayed in the annex across the street and down half a block. It was so lovely. You walk into the gate from the street (key card access) into a long, deep and lush courtyard. You feel like you are walking into a different world. There are bistro tables and chairs in front of each room. There were literally bananas growing in front of our room. After dinner and a tequila tasting (Tequila Town next to the main hotel entrance), and a meandering through the cute streets and shops in the area, we enjoyed sitting in the little courtyard talking and drinking wine. The rooms were very nice and very clean. 10/10! The location is also close to the Los Cabos International airport.

Since this is an old downtown location, the hotel naturally doesn't having parking. There is a fenced parking service at the end of the hotel's street (pretty close to the main hotel building). It does cost about US$20 to park there overnight, which I believe was a discounted price through the hotel. The street by the annex entrance was pretty busy and made it difficult to unload our luggage (bags and ice chests). That was our only frustration. If you are traveling lighter than we were, it would not be a big deal.

Accommodation, and grounds were lovely, staff were very good, the manager provided good information about the area, and very helpful. A very safe place to stay in the heart of the art district. Pool not heated, but clean and grounds are very comfortable.

There are a few restaurants near by which play loud music to 3 in the morning on Thurs and Friday and Saturday. There is also a restaurant adjoining the property that is a venue for weddings. The loud music at the wedding actually shook the ground!

Charming and quaint hotel in excellent location. Right in the center of San Jose del Cabo. Reception was exceptional and maintenance kept the place clean and tidy.

The room we booked had a kitchenette but unfortunately it was not available due to remodeling. We were placed in main building and no kitchenette was available in our room.

No hot water in sink faucets , no room in bathroom for personal items . Had to go to reception to get water for coffee and to use in bathroom , a water cooler in the room would have been better for the price

This is a lovely small hotel, not an all inclusive resort. It may not appeal to partiers, but certainly does to anyone looking for a tranquil setting. The staff were very helpful and the adjacent restaurant has great food and friendly staff. The location in San Jose is near galleries, squares, and good restaurants.

There is not a full partition at the top between the bedroom and bathroom
