Location and comfort

There is an issue with parking in fron of the hotel. I travel by motocicle and i was ask to move it as i was checking out. How the expect you to unload and or load your bike away from the front desk. There is no sign stating a restriction or a time allowance while you check in or out. I had stayed in this hotel many times and never had any issues regarding where to park. There is a hotek undergroung parking that i use once the day is over ! Regards

Location was great , front desk attendant was nice .

The breakfast was excellent, the girl thats in charge of checking the room number in the breakfast area was very rude! First she rushed us out the table where we were sitting, then she was rude by telling my friend to pick up after herself. That's not nice. Please talk to her . Other than that we enjoyed our stay , we always book with the holiday Inn every where we go .

This was an excellent hotel. Spacious. Clean. Great beds. Excellent daily cleaning. Wonderful breakfast. The room had a coffee percolator and provided coffee in specially prepared sachets. I had a really great view to which I woke up each morning. The hotel is well located near a busy square which was full of life in the evenings and a further 7 mins down the road, the main cathedral and town centre. A big supermarket was also close by. I walked everywhere except for when I made tripe to the zoo and botanical gardens.

There is always something which could be better, in my view. As far as this hotel went, the reception staff are so young and once or twice I thought they didn’t really have a handle on things. But more than that I was put out that there is absolutely nowhere to have a cigarette unless you stand outside in front of the hotel, an area which you had to share with the security guard who felt obliged to make himself scarce each time I went down for a cigarette (which was only twice an evening, to be fair). I get it that the whole world has banned indoor smoking in all public places but it would be accommodating, and welcomed by smokers of the world if there were some outside place where they could have a cigarette which didn’t make them feel like outsiders, literally and figuratively.

Very friendly staff, Breakfast was good (for mexican Standards), central location

Amenities are basic but functional. Some minor things added up to be annoying. Like we only had one towel when we arrived. They brought us a second one when we asked and were nice about it, but then the cleaning staff sometimes only changed one of them when she cleaned? Power plugs are in super inconvenient places. AC is very loud but the room gets so hot at night. You can't open the windows.

The smell in the Lobby and Elevators, also there was a misunderstood among front desk ladies and I about if they had beer for sale to taken to my room; that was even when both of us speak same language.

This was such a surprise, so much better than Holiday Inn Express locations back home in the UK. Room was spacious with a fabulous view from the large window and the bed was seriously comfortable. The buffet breakfast was hugely better than we expected. Even the coffee was delicious. We rarely stay in chain hotels and only stayed here for convenience so we were extremely surprised at how good it was. Outstanding value for money!

Nothing

The room was sunny and spacious and the staff was helpful. They had a pretty good variety of dishes for breakfast. The hotel's location is 3 blocks away from Parque de la Marimba and Marimba Museum which was nice. There's also a big supermarket very near. Hairdryer was pretty 'strong' - which is not always the case in Mexican hotels ;)

When we arrived one of the mineral water bottles we had was opened and someone evidently drank from it. But we assume it could've been overseen accidentally and that after this review the hotel will pay attention for it not to happen again.

front desk lady was very nice however when we asked to cancel the last night (there’s nothing to do in Tuxtla besides the Sumidero canyon) they didn’t allow it saying we had paid upon check in. I explained to them that we had free cancellation and I had asked well before 6pm the previous day of the cancellation request and also usually you pay at the end so why couldn’t they return the transaction and charge me for 2 nights only? as someone who has retired from hotel management and worked in all departments I honestly didn’t think what they did was right. don’t stay more than 1-2 nights max!

This is a great place to stay in Tuxtla. The staff were friendly and helpful. We got a great night's sleep in the comfortable bed. Super close to Parque la Marimba. It was really quiet at night, great for sleeping. Nice breakfast. Good value!

We likes everything. I would stay again.

A good hotel, slightly ageing but still very nice. Large room, clean and quiet. Receptionist Antonio speaks good English and is very helpful. A really super breakfast including various cooked options. Recommended.

A point that has been mentioned by other reviewers is that the breakfast room ( built pre - covid ) is really not large enough for visitors to socially distance. I did feel uncomfortable about this when the room was full.
