The amenities are clean. The room is big, clean, and has modern stuff, it's a great facility. The Loccitane products are a great plus compared to other hotels' products. Moreover, the hotel is focused on the Gay community and made us feel comfortable with the environment.

We booked a room with an ocean view and paid extra with the expectation of a quiet and relaxing stay. However, we were surprised by the extreme noise level, as our room was located near the club, which played loud music nonstop from noon to 7 PM. While I understand the hotel might cater to a party-loving crowd, the noise level inside the room was far too much. We also had an incident where they charged a beer to our room (we didn't drink in the hotel during our stay), we talked to a few staff crew, but nobody could fix it and we ended up giving up - although it was just a beer, it is not fair,

requested an ocean view on my reservation and was given a partial ocean view of palm trees and the back of the a building blocking the sunset

Amazing location and excellent service. The Eden Pool & Lounge Garden on the 5th floor was my favorite. I enjoyed lounging by the infinity pool and having food and drink brought to me. The Top restaurant on the 13th floor was also amazing for breakfast and nightly shows. The room service was excellent and available 24 hours.

There were some maintenance issues. The mini fridge in my room didn't work and there were several light bulbs burned out. Also the water pressure in the shower would completely turn off at random times during my shower.

The property and room was very nice. The staff are pleasant and helpful.

Upon check in, I was bombarded with all the potential extra charges and the $10,000 pesos held on my credit card for damages was excessive. That put me in a bad mood right from the start. If you had a guest, it would cost $25 USD. The hot tub in the living area took too much room and not necessary. Very little space to put clothes away.

The location, being around so many other queer people, the Eden pool is incredible. Having full access to Mantamar Beach club was awesome.

There was some construction noise during the day, but it never really bothered us. The room decor was a little tacky (neon sex lights above the bed?) They try to push a time share on you hard when you arrive.

I recently visited PV and chose to stay at Almar— and I was not disappointed (Story time - Almar cancelled my booking 72hrs before I arrived at PV 2024 and I booked it via their official website) From the moment I arrived, the service stood out. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and a consistently accommodating attitude. They were attentive to our needs, and ensured that my check-in process was smooth and welcoming. My room was clean, quiet, and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed that made for restful nights after long days of exploring the Beach. The overall experience represented very good value for money and the freedom of access to the beach club. In summary, Almar offers a reliable and pleasant stay, with excellent service and a thoughtful approach to guest comfort. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Clean and modern ; great pool for residents… right on the beach with beachside pool and seaside chairs for residents and outside subscribers but 5th floor only for residents and very gay and friendly… Best rooms are the full « ocean view » as the other rooms not as spectacular… location and easy walk from restaurants and businesses but still quiet

WARNING: They try to get all visitors to participate in a time share promotion… offering free breakfast and massage but quite hard sell and not happy if you do not fall for their promotion… let some old « members » who were very unhappy with the time share

The location and access to beach is perfect. We signed up for an extended package over the next 10 yrs with Fernanda, she was an excellent source of information about the hotel and accommodations. The entire staff was welcoming. Access to Mantamar is a plus. Great pool atmosphere, relaxing massage ( Issacc and Eden ) and bar staff ( Aldo ) were amazing, but all others were exceptional as well. Can't wait for our return

Facilities.

No sooner did we register, did we get referred to Salesperson to try to sell us a time share. This was our first visit and we had just arrived off the plane. We did not have a chance to get settled or enjoy the experience. Sales pitch would better have been scheduled mid-way through visit. The Salesperson asked all sorts of personal information, wanted us to put down a deposit before we had seen anything. It was too much, too fast and totally inappropriate.

The property and the beach and the room

The check-in was horrible. Instead of it being a quick easy get your keys go to the room type deal, it was a half hour ordeal. They demanded more money before they gave us a key. They demanded an 18 point contract that we had to sign an initial they demanded a timeshare sales presentation. It was horrible.
