We truly loved everything about Casa Joseph. Its design, the people, the location, the food and the overall ambient. Our room was not big but our balcony was large and had ocean view, we loved it. Their service and their employees were super nice. We liked the beach a lot, it is very large and it has a restaurant, also gets this amazing sunset. During the day, they surprise you with mini offers at the beach, which were also very nice. (Sometimes frozen fruits, sometimes mezcal cocktail shots) Every night they had a live music, it was cute. The location of the hotel is also good, you are 10min away from La Punta where all the restaurants and bars are. All in all, highly recommend this place, you will leave very happy.

Honestly there is nothing that we did not like about the property.

We had a great trip overall! Amaia at the front desk is the absolute best, she was so welcoming and kind and gave us great local recommendations. The location on the beach with the beautiful views was amazing and our room was very comfortable, especially loved the bed and shower. The view from the restaurant upstairs is gorgeous, I highly recommend having breakfast up there at least once. I loved that there were on-site yoga classes and a cold plunge even though I didn't take advantage of it.

There wasn't really any staff at the pool to help with towels, check in on us, etc. Also, it was a bit noisy in our room given the proximity to the entrance and a busy walkway.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, perfectly situated between the center of Puerto Escondido and the lively area of La Punta. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious, and offer a sense of comfort and style. Breakfast was a highlight—delicious and well-prepared. The beachfront area is a standout feature, with plenty of sunbeds for relaxing by the ocean and excellent service from the beach bar. The sunsets here were absolutely breathtaking, adding a magical touch to each evening and making the setting truly unforgettable.

Unfortunately, the service during dinner was frustratingly slow, which affected the overall dining experience. Additionally, the reception staff came across as unprofessional. They seemed more focused on their own conversations than on creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Their vibe didn’t match the level of professionalism you’d expect from a place like this.

The property had the most beautiful private beach in all of Zicatela. Our room with a sea view was breathtaking, the decor was boho chic and everything felt boutique. The food was exceptional also, both tacos, tostadas and western options. The complimentary yoga and ice bath was also brilliant. Our stay was simply amazing and I would recommend to everyone

Although we enjoyed brilliant hospitality and service during our stay, the service on the beach could often be very slow and sometimes we were searching for a waiter to place our orders. However, once ordered everything came perfectly.

Excelent food, service and a great place to enjoy with your loved ones. I traveled with my Mom, staff is super friendly, you can enjoy drinks and even eat at the pool. The best sunset is in here!!! Thank you Casa Joseph Team, we’ll come back for sure!

Venue, staff, the food, the Adults Only environment

The management of the communication via WhatsApp before my arrival, it was disorganized and brotherliness rude. BUT in person everything worked great and the staff was very nice. They just need to improve the communication skills. For example checking the time zone where the guest is located so they don't sent after hours messages.

I loved the seclusion yet near things. I loved the yoga everyday. The service largely was good.

I thought some things seemed tired. Like stained towels on the beach chairs and lounges. Small area to sit in lobby and if numerous people check in no where to sit. They also had a 3p check in and I checked in at 8 my room wasn’t available until three. Not negotiable on that. I felt some of the front staff in the lobby could have been more helpful. Also if you want to eat dinner there you have to eat on tables on the beach, no other option. Lastly coffee unavailable before 8 am and I am an early riser who likes coffee first thing.

It was a beautiful location on a relatively quiet beach, with unique amenities. My family and I had rented the only freestanding villa on the property, for our small family of three, which was intended for a party of six. It was lovely, and a great value for the nights we had stayed. Included was twice a day maid service, and a full-time chef from the hours of 7 AM to 11 PM. Every attention detail was provided. The freestanding villa had its own entrance, and direct access to the beach, that was guarded by two security dogs, and a 24 hour security guard. There’s very high attention to detail, even if footprints were left in the sand, no more than five minutes later, they would be combed away by the on-site facility caretaker. Because we’re so well taken care of in the villa, we didn’t have an opportunity to partake in the main hotels services. However, they do include beach access, public pool, spa, and yoga facilities. I would absolutely return again. The highlight of the trip was enjoying every single meal in serenity, with unopposed views of the ocean.

Nothing! It was lovely. Ants did become an issue, but that’s just the nature of being on the beach.

Amazing staff who really spoil you - they brought frozen fruit lollies and cold water to the sunbeds and generally were super helpful. View and rooms lovely. Amazing food

A slight walk into the strip, we were glad we stayed closer to the restaurants for some of our stay but this was an oasis of calm to fully relax in. The beach isn’t the best to swim at but if you walk further down there’s easier areas to swim

EVERYTHING!! This completely blew me away. The hotel was absolutely stunning and the service was next level, literally staff running around for anything you needed. The level of detail and care that the hotel provided was second to none. The beach beds were some of the comfiest beds I’ve ever lied on as well as the actual beds in the bedrooms! Perfectly situated back from the beach so you can still hear the relaxing waves at night but without them being too loud! I also booked a massage there and I have to say it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had in my life (and I have had a fair few in my time) so if you are looking to get one, this is a must! Me and my partner were gutted to leave and wanted to extend! Will definitely be recommending Casa Joseph to anyone I know looking to stay on Puerto Escondido / La Punta. Thanks again Casa Joseph!
