Gorgeous hotel right on the lagoon in a quiet area nestled in the jungle. We called it "White Lotus - Mexico" because it felt like it was right out of the TV show. Rooms are freestanding cabins and very comfortable. Loved the outdoor showers! At night the paths were lit with votive candles which was incredibly beautiful.

Prices where a bit high for Bacalar but still less than what you would pay for this level of luxury elsewhere.

The location was amazing and the facilities were great.

Food and activities were overpriced.

Spectacular hotel in the middle of the jungle. Rooms are like one big tent with hot water and AC. The showers are outside. Breakfast by the laguna is so good. The staff is so welcoming and attentive. They have different classes every day (yoga, meditation..) and a canoe to use for free. The laguna is right by the hotel. Very relaxing stay. There are not many mosquitoes. There was a tropical storm while we were there and the rooms moved with the wind. Slightly scary.

The parking is a bumpy muddy road. There is a light smell in the rooms because of the material the rooms are made of.

Wow! What a place. We loved everything about it. It’s a little piece of heaven. The staff were all amazing. The daily activities were all fantastic. We only stayed for 3 nights but managed to do 2 yoga session, an afternoon of SUP’ing, a water colouring class, a mezcal tasting and a massage. The highly was definitely the sunrise SUP’ing. It’s a must. Make sure you book a room with a lake view as it’s definitely worth the money!

The restaurant menu is a bit limited. It was ok for us as we only stayed 3 nights but if we stayed for longer then we would definitely have to leave the complex to try some of the restaurants in Bacalar town. A minor point that definitely did not taint our experience.

I loved the space; it was amazing. I loved the concept, I loved the food, the lake was amazing, the rooms are comfortable, beautiful, and in the middle of a jungle. The rainforest was amazing, loved the green, and being in the middle of the forest.

The only thing I did not like was the limitation to use paddle boards and kayaking. Most people go to this place for sports activities. The paddling is only available from 9 AM, which is already late and hot, would be great if people had access to paddles earlier until the sun is too strong. Even the paddles are available from 9 AM, the hotel employees brought them from 10 AM and there is no sufficient equipment, they have only 4 paddles. The other problem was the taxi arrangement, on arrival we paid different amount, on departure, we were told to pay half of the amount, while taxi did not even come on time and we had flight to take in the airport. Would be great to have timely organized transfers to and from airport and consistency in price.

The serene lakeside location offers a perfect retreat, with rooms beautifully integrated into the jungle setting. The restaurant deserves special mention for its excellent cuisine and warm, attentive service.

The proximity to the highway means occasional traffic noise, though its intensity remains low and varies with wind conditions. While relaxing by the lake, ambient music from nearby venues can sometimes be heard. The front desk staff’s demeanor could be more welcoming, particularly given the property’s wellness focus.

Above our expectations. We reached Our Habitas by car from Tulum through a highway which was well maintained. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, overall the place is naturally magical: the hotel faces the laguna which is an incredible natural place with fresh and crystal clear water. The hotel makes available to guests both paddle boards and kayaks to take during the entire day, among other activities e.g., boat tour, yoga and dance classes. The rooms really contribute to the experience, being them A-framed tented rooms with outside showers. Food is amazing as well, breakfast is included with many savory and sweet options. Highly recommend

The Lagoon! The colors! The chalet was really amazing! Extremely comfortable and earthy!

Our arrival could have been greeted nicer. Gaby was kind but the woman sitting next to her didn’t even bother to look at us or welcome us. No welcome drink was offered. The WiFi sometimes didn’t work. One night when we came home the gulf cart battery had died and it was suggested that we drive our car towards the chalet with no direction and it was quite dark. It’s too long to walk from the entrance to the chalet. For the price that you pay you would expect 5 star hospitality. The front desk definitely needs better training on how to welcome guests and the gulf cart should never die.

This hotel is the dream. Book it, disconnect, enjoy life. The location itself is breathtaking and is away from the crowds, you feel that the lagoon is only for you. It is warm fresh water and so transparent. The hotel is extremely quiet, you are surrounded by birds. The restaurant and bar serve delicious, fresh and local food / drinks. The room are very comfortable and the outside shower is amazing and has good pressure! The staff is lovely and caring. Book a massage, I had the best massage of my life there. We did the sunrise paddle which was worth waking up early to see animals and enjoy the los rapidos without anyone else. We stayed 3 nights and we are so glad we did, it was an incredible place to stay at and we are now hoping to visit other hotels from our habitas.

Breakfast was exceptional. Very generous portions and healthy variety. The staff were so friendly and helpful, always working so hard. The location was so serene and peaceful. I loved the activities provided - the yoga, sound therapy, and painting were so enjoyable.

Dinner and drinks were quite pricey but very good despite this. Lots of mosquitoes since it is in the middle of the jungle, so make sure to pack good bug spray!
