This place is just magical, lovely garden setting with beautiful flowers everywhere and the rooms are beautiful and in keeping with the surroundings. The location on the waterfront is just incredible and the complimentary kayaks and padel boards are great, lovely location for sunrises. Room was very clean and comfortable, good air conditioning too. Would definitely stay here again if come back to Bacalar. Was hard initially to find somewhere to eat in evening as although lots of restaurants in the area many are attached to beach clubs you have to pay into. By second day had found some gems, I would recommend walking (10 mins or so) up to Parque Nacional Maracuya as they happy for you to have drinks and/or food (big selection of different cuisines) on the waterfront. Los Aluxes also looked nice if happy to eat within the restaurant rather than on waterfront. If looking for drinks head to Casa China (5 min walk) have a little bar overlooking harbour (also great day trips out over the lagoon that run from here).

Breakfast was very very basic, also found it strange the first day you couldn’t get anything to drink if you were thirsty as bar was closed (but apparently would be open tomorrow) so bottles water included in the room but no soft drinks/beer available at all which was a little disappointing when wanting to relax and enjoy the hotel setting.

Exactly like in the picture, quiet romantic, no loud music, not overly crowded, beautiful views. Our room included kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming in the beautiful seven color lagoon.

The pillows were a little too hard aside from that everything was exceptional

Beautiful property on the lakefront with gorgeous patio area. We stayed in the cabin on the water and it was amazing! They offer free kayaks and paddleboards (although they are not in greatest shape but still usable). Will stay here again next time we are in Bacalar!

location, location, location!!! right on the water, nice and quite and beautiful turquoise waters!! Our little cabin was just Perfect. All amenities were available , (kayaks, paddle boards) Excellent customer service , definitely will return.

Right on the lagoon. Super friendly staff that caters to all our needs. Very tasty breakfast.

They need to ensure the inside of each house is maintained. The cabinet was falling apart in bathroom. The hanging tube in closet rusty. The patio door screen broken. It is a beautiful property but maintaining it is important.

Lovely being on the lagoon and free kayaks and paddle boarding. Room was comfortable also.

Breakfast included very basic. Room was a bit tight but as previously said was comfortable.

Room was in a perfect location. Very quiet and relaxing. My room was directly on the lake and had a lot of little extras. Good bar on site. The town and numerous restaurants were an easy $5 cab ride away. Would definitely recommend.

Access to food/snacks on the first day at the property was disappointing.

Beautiful relaxing hotel with the perfect views. Loved having the kayaks and the paddles available anytime. Javier was amazing! He makes the stay a lot better. He goes out of his way for the guests.

Everything was perfect, but maybe having the restaurant open for later hours would be a nice option.

Location was good. A 15 minute walk to town but plenty of restaurants close by. Great lagoon setup with hammocks and loungers. Swimming in the lagoon off the dock is perfect. Beautiful grounds and nice rooms. Good, simple breakfast included. Kayaks and YOLO board included! Also a bar on site but closes a bit early

Loud location next door. Music went till about 1130pm and in the am our bungalow was right up next to the kitchen and outdoor seating area of the place next door. Very loud unfortunately, especially with how quiet and relaxed Blue Bird is. Some bathroom mold issues but otherwise rooms are well kept.

Everthing in this hotel is exeptional and you feel like at home. Due to our time limit of our total Mexican journey we stayed only 1 night and parted the day after. At the day at depature we asked for recomenation for our further trip. And unbelieveable: We got a full list worked out simply on a sheet of paper worked out very professional! Also we highly recomend the private organised laguna tour - excepionall! Thank you very much to the whole team, everthing was perfect!

I personelly travel a lot all around the world. I"ve seen a lot of hotels. For me and my familiy the stay was perfect and " natural comfortable style". If somebody is used to book only 5 stars hotels, then you might see some small little issues, which are at the end of your your stay less important!
