The view is absolutely stunning, it is a perfect place for a weekend getaway. Super cute to just be in a little hotel and be able to walk right down in the laguna. I can really recommend it. And the staff was super nice.

If I have to mention one thing, I think it's a little shame that the included breakfast is a very simple (but well enough breakfast, nothing is wrong with it) and then they have an a la carte breakfast menu where you had to pay for it. I think they will score a loooooot of bonus points if they change that. So every morning the included breakfast you can choose coffee or tea, juice or fruit and one a la carte breakfast. They won't lose any money on it. And they'd get soooo many plus points for that. Plus if guests want one glass of juice more it is okay, they don't have to pay for it. I think flexibility is what give a business the last extra details that matter a looooot.

Great comfortable beds, good AC, clean rooms A lovely spot on the lake where you can watch the sunrise and pass the time swimming in the lagoon, sitting on the beach chairs, swinging in the hammocks. A simple yummy breakfast of eggs, fruit and coffee. The staff were friendly

Only one 500ml bottle of water per person per day - given the cost of the rooms and unsafe tap water some more water could be provided! This is not enough at all

The hotel is in a fantastic spot on the lagoon and we had a balcony that looked out onto the water. It''s an amazing spot to relax at during the day and there are plenty of sun loungers. Breakfast is served overlooking the lagoon and is coffee/tea, fruit/juice, eggs/omelette/bacon or pancakes. The staff were very friendly. It is about a 20-30 minute to the main town area of bacalar where most of the bars and restaurants are. We sometimes walked and sometimes took a taxi which cost between 60-80 pesos. The room was very clean, air con worked really well. WiFi was very good. The bed was large and comfortable.

A fridge in the room would be the only suggestion. Everything else was perfect

The staff in general were very friendly, but Ruby who worked at the on-site restaurant was exceptional. She always went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. She always had a bright smile and enthusiasm for her job.

The steps leading into the water were extremely slippery- it would have been nice if they could have some type of mats so it's not so precarious. The price we paid per night was bit pricey for the amenities offered, but that may have been because of having a private dock on the water - which was truly worth it. All in all, it met our expectations.

It was beautiful and walking distance from the town. It had its own space to enter the lagoon which was very nice. The stuff was super nice as well :)

The place looks nice but needs some reparations like in the bathroom. We had once frog jumped inside our suitcase and then hidden behind the tv which I panicked about as I have a bit of frog fobia but I suppose that could happen in any hotel near the lagoon - at the end the stuff helped us remove it :) We had breakfast included which was very nice even thought there were only two options we enjoyed a lot, what I didn’t like is that one day I asked if they can add some ham to my scrambled eggs and they charged me for it 25 pesos… I know it’s not much but come on, there was added maybe one slice of ham 😅

Gorgeous lagoon-side hotel! Our room was fantastic, very comfy bed, definitely worth paying extra for a view of the lagoon! All the staff were lovely and friendly. Very tasty breakfast. We really enjoyed the sailing boat trip from the hotel jetty (extra cost).

Bar/restaurant shut early. It was a bit of a walk into town. Shame you couldn't rent kayaks but they are available in nearby hotels (which we don't think are half as lovely as this one!)

This property is gorgeous and has the best hospitality and kindest staff. Aside from the breathtaking view of the lake, the rooms, grounds, and common areas are very well decorated. Bed and pillows are very comfy, and all linen was fresh and clean. The shower was warm and the water pressure was perfect. Breakfast is included and enjoyed in Raiz, the hotel’s restaurant. Unlike other free hotel breakfasts, their’s is made to order and absolutely delicious and filling. However, not to be missed is their a la carte menu, we tried their guac, chilaquiles, chicken sandwich and french toast - all made skillfully from scratch with the freshest high quality ingredients - Chef Pablo is absolutely amazing! Unexpectedly, I had the best cinnamon roll of my life in this hotel restaurant, I loved it so much that I brought a few back to Canada. Craft cocktails made by Carlos at the bar should not be missed either. Incidentally, when our rental car didn’t start one day, Carlos went out of his way to find jumper cables and moved his car to assist us, saving us time and money. Our server Ruby, had the most welcoming smile and gave the best service without fail every single day. Charlie the security guard was also a delight to be around at night, we felt very safe. Karen in front desk and all the housekeeping staff were all excellent.

The room didn’t have a fridge, it would have been nice to have some cold water on hand.

Waking up pretty much inside the lagoon was perfect. Having relaxing breakfasts there while looking into paradise.

The included breakfast was a bit poor. I informed beforehand I was vegan and they said I didn’t have to worry about it. In the end there was no note about it for our room and I had to remind them everyday about it. One day I explained and asked not to be served eggs, but bacon was still on the plate. The other day the lady didn’t want to make me the plate with just bread and beans because it should come with eggs and bacon. The only other option was a (very small) plate of fruits. There are itens on the menu you can pay extra, which I felt wasn’t very honest with the guests if you say breakfast is included. They should be a bit more accommodating and think about dietary restrictions- either for choice and health.

Located on the beautiful part of laguna with great beach access. Even though they do not have a private parking there is a lot of space to park your car on the street. Extremely clean, the room is cleaned daily (including shower). Great water pressure in the shower. Good breakfast. Helpful staff of front desk.

No sun umbrellas so beach chairs are unusable unless you want to burn your skin. Kayaks would be great since other properties around them have them. No place to dry towels.

The view of the lagoon is beautiful and the rooms are clean, spacious with great showers. The breakfasts are really nice although you have to pay extra for things like french toast, breakfast sandwiches and avocado toast. Staff are welcoming and friendly, especially the cute dog!

It is a little bit of walk into town down mostly unlit roads without pavements so I would recommend getting taxis in and out. It would be great if the hotel had their own kayaks to rent for sunset as you can’t watch it from the hotel’s access. Other than that - nothing, we had a lovely time.
