The building and grounds are well taken care of. The lobby floor was washed probably hourly. The staff was always friendly. The elevators are quick. I love that you can go to other RIU in Cancun and use their facilities. The beach was raked daily. The food at the restaurants was good.

They seriously need a washing hand station mandatory like on cruises before entering the buffet. My husband and I each got sick on this vacation. Everyone is grabbing the same tongs to plate food, then some people lay the tongs onto the food. instead of the spoon rests. People lick their fingers, or don't wash their hands after leaving the restroom then grab the tongs. It's all gross. Also the staff are quick to clean off tables, but they don't have a sink outside either. Table after table is "cleaned" with the same dishcloth, without washing it out in between. Plus in the outside seating area the birds sit on chairs and all over the staffs station where the "clean" dishes, silverware, and drinks are kept. YUCK, Hello, bird flu?

Itself charming and luxurious. The room is wonderful - large, cozy, and very clean. Pleasant staff. There are many options for restaurants and a lot of food. The shower is really luxurious, amazing. The bed is comfortable. The pools are beautiful and cozy, the infinity pool is amazing with a view of the beach. The beach is cute.

The food itself is relatively average. Nothing amazing. There are many options, but no restaurant or dining room we tried served anything really tasty. There are relatively few facilities - only three pools, only one of which has a swim-up bar. The hotel is relatively small. The beach is also small. Everything is really luxurious and pleasant - but a bit small. A hotel that is suitable for a few pampering and pleasant days.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly. We didn't get the elite club options, but the standard fare was more than enough for us. All of the options for dinner were great, especially if you prefer to eat earlier dinners - you can avoid the wait. The pools are nice and warm and also not very deep. Evening shows and events are varied and a lot of fun. There's a lot of variety across the acts. The location is a great spot to take day trips from, too. You'll have no issues getting taxis to and from the main areas of Cancun or pickup sites for a lot of tours. It's also really close to La Isla shopping center and other entertainment. The view was gorgeous. Even though there was some seaweed for this time of year, the beach cleared up after a couple of days. It would have been perfect if the beach area was more like Playa Norte at Isla Mujeres, but that's a short day trip and easy to find a nice beach day if you really want to see clea waters. Overall, we had an amazing stay.

Just a lot of seaweed in that area of the beach this time of year. Not the hotel's fault, they do their best to clear it out periodically. Just mostly for awareness if you plan on going in July. Allegedly, the beach gets much nicer in August.

Amazing service! All the staff are very friendly & very quick service. Great choices for food - you will never run out of options or be hungry at this place. Great food & drinks! They are constantly cleaning the place, always spotless. Fun poolside day time activities, great shows on the evening, they even provide shuttle service to & from other Riu party locations & do things like themed face/body painting at the lobby for the parties. The ocean view rooms are worth it!! Stunning view of the most beautiful beach. The staff on the beach are also really friendly, they’ll help set up sunloungers & umbrella as per preference & bar staff always walk around to bring you drinks wherever you are. Housekeeping staff were great! Almost everyday they left a cute little surprise for us after cleaning (decorative towels, rose petals, chocolates). The little things meant a lot! It really exceeded expectations all around, cannot recommend this resort enough!

We booked a king bed but upon arrival it was 2 single beds - they didn’t have any long bed rooms available on the day, so we had to wait until the next day to move & didn’t have a room for about 3 hours (12pm - 3pm) until they cleaned, but it was okay - there was plenty to do whilst waiting & they moved our luggage’s for us.

Riu Resort was absolutely one of the best I’ve been, and hospitality was exceptional! Four pools, one with a bar, surrounded by lots of green, with direct access to the beach, and food station during the whole afternoon. Restaurants are absolutely fantastic, which bring us different options every night and events happening every day. Rooms are big, and an amazing view to the whole green, pool and beach giving us the fantastic sunrise view. Shuttles to the parties (super funny and worthy) happening during the week. Angel, Ricardo and the whole team were amazing. A big thanks to the Angel for welcoming us everyday in the breakfast informing us the activities and events happening every single day. He has to be complemented and rewarded for his work.

Nothing. Maybe the gym could be more equipped, but for basic work out it’s still great. Duvet could be also be better.

The facility/property was immaculate! The staff were constantly cleaning. It was spotless. The pools and facilities weren’t too crowded and there were never any lines. The hotel is SO close to the shopping center (3-4 min walk) and the beach was beautiful! So clear and blue.

The food was not great. The only restaurant we cared for was the steakhouse. Otherwise, I’d stick to the buffet. Also, we purchased the Elite package and it just wasn’t worth it. We didn’t use the elite pool and never needed to make reservations for dinner. There was always availability. It seemed like everyone could get the premium liquor options without having the Elite band. Also, if you go to bed early, ask for a room away from the stage! One of the nights was SO loud and it was impossible to sleep.

The staff were really nice and accommodating. The property was extremely clean!! Everywhere!! The food was amazing, I absolutely loved the variety and the different choices of restaurants located right on the property. The pool entertainment was the high light. The drinks and food on demand was like room service outside of your room. I would definitely return!! Best vacation I’ve had in a longtime. I didn’t wanna leave lol

Food was average and did not stand out, however i was able to accommodate my diet with every meal. I understand the pools really mainly everywhere but that was still a downside. There also could’ve been more shows in the theatre.

Property extremely clean and staff warm and welcoming. Addy at the lobby was exceptional and Juan at the pool bar is fantastic and remembered our orders. Housecleaning was amazing! I’ve never had housecleaning service that changed my sheets throughout our stay and mopped our floors!

Needed more bathrooms throughout the property. Gym was small. Food was to be expected for an all inclusive. Pretty average. The specific restaurants (Asian, Italian, steakhouse and Mexican were just ok) I felt the service was lacking in the restaurants but very good in the buffet areas. Entertainment at the pool was fun during the day. Nighttime entertainment was ok. I’d come back and maybe try the elite side next time.
