We have stayed at the Kempinski Hotel since before it converted from the Ritz-Carlton, and we have never been disappointed. The Staff, service, room, environment and amenities were designed, and maintained, for absolute luxury and relaxation. There are no other Hotels in all of Cancun to compare with this truly luxurious Hotel.

Nothing that would actually enhance the experience of staying at this Hotel.

We are world travelers and stay at only luxury hotels. We can say that the Cancun Kempinski (formerly the Ritz) is one of the nicest winter beach vacations we have ever had. Every thing about this property is top notch, fresh flowers throughout the hotel , meticulously clean rooms and common areas and staff that really understands guest service. Many staff members have been with the hotel long term and they are proud the hotel and the work they do. That converts to genuinely friendly encounters with everyone who works at the hotel. We booked a room with access to the 8th floor club including food and beverages at breakfast, lunch , tea time and dinner. The food was always excellent with standard offerings for vegetarians and non-gluten guests at every single meal. The pastry chef is a genius!! Our club concierge (Iliana) took care of all our bookings so competently and helped us celebrate our anniversary in so many thoughtful ways. Thank you Iliana. All of the hotel staff across the board were ever so accommodating and friendly. This is a beautiful luxury hotel that spares nothing to please it’s guests including heating the pool water in one of its 3 very clean pools. Pool and beach service is excellent. The ocean waves vary according to the month, so check that out when making your decision about booking dates. We are already looking forward to our next visit to the Kempinski.

There is nothing we did not like about this hotel.

Good for a quiet & short vacation, all inclusive, with children or if you are retired. We did appreciate that it was the only hotel on that part of the beach to have an architecture style at least remotely inspired by local culture.

Very expensive and you are charged for everything (as an example, we were charged for takeaway coffee at breakfast, since we were not sitting to drink the coffee). The hotel needs a refurbishment (looks a bit Y2K)

- The level of service from every Kempinski employee was exceptional and could not be faltered. - The cleanliness of the room and resort, the very comfortable beds and stunning views. - The beach area was very nice, although we tended to stay more around the pool. - The location was great! We walked to many restaurants nearby which were all lovely. - Overall felt very safe, quiet, luxurious and relaxing.

- The only suggestion we had was around the variety of restaurants available in the hotel. The beach restaurant offered great lunch options, but the menu changed at night which felt a little more limited. It would have been great to have more informal/relaxed restaurant options available for dinner. However, the quality of the food/drinks was amazing!

Great venue and amenities. Fab beach with access to sea and pools. Great room and views. Staff helpful and friendly. Easy access to public transport. Access to outside restaurants if needed. Access to, and advice with good organising, of excursions locally.

Small bottles of water in the room. Though they are more than happy to top up at no expense, larger bottles would be more convenient. Felt rushed with meals. Waiters were excellent but too eager to remove dishes, top up coffee, bring next course. Felt maybe pacing would be helpful. This was not unique at this hotel but similar throughout our stay in Mexico.

This is my second time at Kempinski. It is sooooo relaxing, and a reasonably-sized property - not overwhelming. The pool area is delightful, with a hot tub that is actually hot!! The fitness facilities are some of the best I've used - well-maintained equipment. Also, the breakfast is one of the VERY best around - positively delicious and delightful!! The concierge is extraordinarily helpful, and really has patience to help you find what you want! Finally, the ride to and from the airport is quick and easy! Highly recommend!

The doorman that gave our uber to another couple - saying "I checked the license plate (which he clearly didn't), then didn't apologize only saying "we don't work with that company". Ummm, thanks for helping us problem solve (<sarcasm)...or at least don't say you checked the license plate when you clearly did not...

It’s an amazing place, great location, great service, and I felt like home, rooms are amazing, food are incredible, there could not have been a better choice, all employees are amazing since the beginning.

I missed a mini market, snacks, since the prices charged in the hotel restaurants are very high, and of course, they are incredible, but I believe there could be a middle ground, something more affordable yet good quality for a quick snack, a simple meal, that doesn't cost a kidney.

Breakfast was good, STAFF WERE FANTASTIC!! I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay. Good Location, access to the beach, nice pool, extremely attentive and friendly staff, and good breakfast and dinning.

The only little problem I had is the bed was far to soft for me. But I was able to remove the mattress topper myself and then it was fine. Not sure why all nice hotels think they need fluffy far to soft beds. They destroy my back. But I was able to fix it and EVERYTHING else at the hotel was fantastic.

Good location, close to the center—if it can be called a center—since the hotel area is a long stretch with malls, restaurants, and other amenities spread across different areas. However, the hotel is in a good spot, right on the beach with turquoise water (facing the sea, not the lagoon). There is also a nearby bus station that runs through the resort, and there are restaurant options in the area. The hotel was clean, well-ventilated, and free from dampness, which is common in much of the area. It offers a beautiful view and amenities such as water, coffee, utilities, daily cleaning, comfortable beds and pillows, an iron, a hairdryer, and a safe. We even had a large terrace. The staff were very friendly and even allowed us a late check-out. The breakfast was extremely varied. It was safe, no issues.

It could have more facilities in the courtyard of the complex. There are two pools that look quite old, a beach bar, and sun loungers on the beach.

Location, Breakfast, Casitas Restaurant on the beach , Beach Service and In Room Dining and Service. The Restaurants Manager Mr. Jimmy was incredible, vigilant and very precise on anything we asked for. Best Room Service we have ever seen as a member of different loyalty programs. Miss Maria on the phone was really good in guiding on the room service menu. I would recommend the Club Sandwich. The best I have ever had.

Bed is uncomfortable. Seems like long time used.
