An oasis!! Beautiful and clean hotel with an amazing pool! The pool is just beautiful surrounded by trees and green with chairs and poufs around to relax. The bar service offers a nice margarita! 😜 the staff is very kind, relax and helpful! The rooms are nicely decorated, the bed is very comfortable, the air-clim is a plus in the hot nights! The breakfast was very appreciated! Fresh fruits and eggs, with a good coffee! A beautiful garden surrounds the hotel, and there are some hammocks to relax and enjoy the coloured birds and flowers. The hotel is close to town, with easy access to restaurants and coba ruins! 100% suggested!

We loved this place, everything about it. We had been here before many times, but then it was closed for almost 10years. Now they re-opened it and still doing some works, but it is already nice and surely will be even nicer soon. It has beautiful setting with the lagoon/lake, lot of trees and flowers as well, so many birds.. We went for birdwatching and seeing the mayan ruins and it was great for both. Food was excellent, however not a lot of choices yet, but soon surely this will change too. :-) Rooms are nice. There is a lovely pool as well where you can cool down. Also small mayan ruins on the property.. The personal was absolute great, really all of them without exception. And we thank them again for doing everything for us and our group to feel home and confortable.:-) Muchas gracias Todos..!!

The pool area was nice and relaxing. It's close enough to the entrance to the ruins to walk...approx. 15 minutes. Freddy at the restaurant along with the rest of the staff work extra hard to please you. Suly at the front desk was very helpful. Breakfast and dinners that we had were very good and made to order.

Just a little about Cobá...beware there are cocodrilos in the lagoon. Keep a lookout while walking because they do come up on shore occasionally. If you are relying on buses for your transportation in and out of Cobá just know the bus times/schedules can be sketchy.

If you're looking for a peaceful place to stay in Coba, I would highly recommend Hotel Kaab. Situated close to a lagoon (with Crocodiles you can sometimes spot floating near the surface), surrounded by forest filled with it the most beautiful bird song and within walking distance of the Mayan Ruins. The hotel itself is very spacious and at times it felt like I had the whole place to myself. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and informative. Clean rooms, with nice big beds. The hotel restaurant served brilliant fish tacos. The pool was lovely, as is the palm tree filled patio area - the decking needs a little love, but other than that it is a wonderful place to while away the day. The room even came with the hotel's own brand of honey-infused shower gels and soaps, nice touch.

The wifi didn't work properly in my room, meaning the TV/Netflix didn't work, but to be honest I came to get away from the hustle & bustle of modern life, so it was actually quite nice to have no reception. I could walk to the lobby to get online there if I needed. Warm water took a little while to get going.

We were given a suite with 2 bedrooms, living room/ dining/kitchenette. Very nice property right on the lake. This hotel is very close to the Coba archeological site. Coba is a breath of fresh air compared to Chichén Itzá with its 100's of stalls selling curios throughout the site. We loved all our meals in the Yucatan peninsula, but El Mexicano in Coba was the best. Lots of interesting birds.

No breakfast is included in the price. The room was less than $75 USD.

This hotel is BEAUTIFUL! The rooms are pretty and I think all have a view to the jungle where from the second floor we had amazing bird sightings at sunrise. We are always looking for places to stay where we can identify birds as well as interesting locations. The Coba ruin is in a beautiful dry jungle setting. We saw a variety of never before seen birds on this trip….e.g., Gartered Trogon, Black backed Trogon

Nice hotel, directly located on the Coba lagoon with beautiful sunsets. Small, basic and rather dark rooms, but totally okay for one night (especially if you want to visit the Coba ruins early in the morning). Nice welcome, private parking. A couple of restaurants in walking distance, if you don't want to eat on the hotel restaurant (safe area, but some annoying dogs).

We had the most incredible time in this lovely hotel! All the staff were so friendly and welcoming which was really nice! The lovely receptionist was very happy to assist us with anything and everything! He went above and beyond! - The hotel facilities were amazing, the restaurant was really nice and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday! - The pool was really incredible, really big and a good depth! - Our room was made up everyday with fresh sheets - The location is really close to the Coba ruins, we ended up walking from the hotel which saved us parking money! - We wish we found this hidden gem before hand as we found it on our last 2 days. But absolutely worth every penny. This was by far our favourite accommodation from our 3 week stay in Mexico, I can’t recommend it enough

Nice, remote and calm hotel with very friendly staff. In particular, I liked how Virginia keeps the whole place organized and is the soul and great spirit of the place. And the lake view is gorgeous with incredible sunsets. This alone is worth the stay. I also liked the "classic" hotel feel of the Kaab. It's one of those places where you kinda feel like time stood still.

Sometimes the Wifi was a bit funky in the room. But this is easy to fix if you move to the lobby or the gorgeous sitting place with the lake view.

Right by the croco lake and 5 min away from the archeological site, it is nice value for money proposition, inside what must have been an ancient colonial building. Good standard decoration, nice swimming pool, comfy beds. Off the road parking.

Being told, 30 min after ordering, that the kitchen was ultimately closed and we could not have dinner served. Got a courtesy breakfast though.
