Nice beachfront property in a good location in Holbox. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of beach chairs and lounges for guests. They provide you with beach towels during your stay. The room was a good size with AC, hot water, and the bed was comfortable. They had live music in the evenings at the restaurant. There have been other comments about noise from neighboring bars etc but we were never disturbed by any noise at night.

Breakfast was included as part of our reservation, but there was only one breakfast option and it was not good so we only ate breakfast there once during our 3 night stay.

Liked the location, right on the beach, beautiful sunset, massage on the beach, serviced bar on the beach as well, great food, attentive and helpful staff. Clean rooms, very comfy bed, a/c worked perfectly. Internet was ok but who cares, you're on a remote tropical island.

I really didn't like the nearly constant loud music. You just can't escape it, it's everywhere it's loud and it disturbed me a lot. I just couldn't read a book or have a nap with the constant beat of the music. Wouldn't return because of this.

It was our first trip to Mexico, we started with a few nights in Playa Del Carmen, then a few nights in Cancun. We had read a lot about Holbox and decided to go there. Googled a lot to find the right hotel for our needs. We wanted a hotel with few rooms and a little outside the center but importantly, by the sea. In the end we found AWA Boutique Hotel. It turned out that we made the right choice. Our room, which was an Ocean Front room, was fantastic. On the terrace there was a bathtub and it was really cool to bathe in while watching the sunset! The room had a cool design and the beds were wonderful, we need 60+ for that. We had dinner when we arrived, everything was fresh and delicious. At breakfast you could choose from a menu and we had avocado toast with nice accessories, it tasted great. The staff gave the best service and were genuinely interested in asking us where we were from and asking questions, this became an intimate relationship and in the end you recognized everyone who worked at AWA Holbox. We recommend renting bikes and there was a rental place right outside the hotel. We cycled around the island and found many beautiful beaches! We can highly recommend this Boutique hotel, nice rooms, great service, good food, on the beach and finally, the service was exactly what we expected from a Boutique hotel. AWA Boutique Hotel gets 5 stars out of 5 from us!

Location. Just steps to the beach. Sunset views every night. Live music every evening—pleasant and soothing, not loud or annoying. Room included continental breakfast with a possible up grade for just 100 pesos. Lots of padded chaise lounges and palapa. Staff were very polite and friendly.

My husband has mobility issues and our room was on the second floor. Before booking I had read a review that mentioned an elevator. Obviously this was a different location. Fortunately he could slow navigate the stairs.

Drinks and food overpriced for Mexico Breakfast was solid but a bit meager compared to other hotels in Mexico Taxi reservation forgotten No critique, but advice: the music in the outside area was nice but could be annoying, if you are looking for a quiet place. Runs roughly until 9 pm, after that a nearby club takes over. Room was very quiet though.

Location really cover everything. As place literally on the beach and it's amazing! But we pay really to high for 3 stars hotel, just because in season they put unlimited prices.

Stuff always begging tips and sometimes included to bill without asking. I'm happy to pay after I received great service which wasn't always a case.

Amaite is located right on the beach with fantastic views. Place was clean. Check-in process was smooth and easy. Friendly staffs welcomed and showed us to the room. Bar and restaurant at Amaite are the highlight. Everything is served at your beach chairs. They have a happy hour from 5 to 7PM. Food options were very good and customizable. Since we were vegetarians, all our orders were customized. Friendly staff always asked our requirement and clarified everything. All the attractions are minutes away from Amaite. Our room was very big and had two king sized beds for our family. Shower was pathetically slow (minor issue). Hope to visit again soon. *Check your final invoice before paying, I was charged extra which I did not use.

Located on the beach and close to the heart of Holbox Island, we could not fault the location of this hotel. The adjoining restaurant and bar were amazing and we ate and drank here several times. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff did a marvellous job of making us feel welcome. They also kept the beach as free from seaweed as possible, which was lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends, family and anyone looking for a fabulous stay on Holbox Island.

The room had a damp smell, despite being very clean. I imagine this is due to drainage. This wouldn't hinder me from staying again or recommending to others.

Some days the music was very loud. The mosquitos were terrible!!! I would suggest citronella oil or candles. During our stay, part of the hotel was under renovation and that was quite annoying, especially due to the noise that also lasted a couple of nights ( Now it is finished, and beautiful).
