Had a great stay at Soho Boutique, Stayed in the ‘presidential suite’ ( bit of an overly grand title) which was fabulous although the aircon could do with a service. The staff were very friendly, Room and all the hotel was very clean . Hotel was super, there is construction next door which is a bit noisy at times but you got used to it . Location is a bit out of the main town but there is a small beach 50 yards away. The included continental in the spirit hotel across the road was adequate for me but not for anyone who has a big appetite in the morning - the view from breakfast was fab! I would stay again , my adult son said it was too far from the centre . All in all I would recommend highly , I loved my stay !

We loved staying at this hotel that was so close to the sea - you can walk 30 seconds down the short beach walk to the sea and get straight in to the beautiful calm ocean with the all of the pelicans and other bird life! The hotel has some friendly lizards who chill out with you during the day :) Good to be able to have a little swim in the pool too to cool off. We really enjoyed the bright, airy room with ai conditioning if needed. It was very relaxing to take a siesta in or come back to after a day in the sun. The shower was really nice and the balcony was also good to take time on with a book. Generally a pretty quiet area of the island which suited us well, about a 15 minute walk from the main town so not far at all. And also not too far from Punto Coco beach which is near where the bioluminescence is. There was also a small collection of places to eat nearby just one block away (a whole range from expensive hotel restaurants to cheaper taco / burger stalls and a nice woodfire oven pizza restaurant called La Cabane that was very reasonable). You can get a simple breakfast included at a sister hotel across the street - yoghurt, granola, fruit and toast - or there are places nearby if you want something else. The staff were wonderful and friendly and gave all the help and tips you need and also are just good for a chat! Thank you Fabian! We’d love to come back soon.

Lovely hotel on the quiet part of the island. The hotel is beautiful and the decor is so pretty. It is very peaceful, hearing the sound of birds chirping away and lovely to walk past all of the iguanas as you go past the pool.. The beach is about 20 metres away where the hotel has sunbeds. Breakfast is also served here at the Frigate bar. Breakfast was quite small and already plated up but adequate to start the day. Tea/coffee, juice, bread, jam, fruit, yoghurt and granola. The walk into town is 20 minutes, just down one road, where you will find lots of places to eat and drink and shops selling all the souvenirs for tourists. It was nice to have a walk into town for dinner but it was also nice to get away from it as it was quite busy and touristy. The taxis are quad bike style golf buggies. There are plenty waiting when you get off the ferry and it should cost 150 Mexican Pesos to get to the hotel. The staff were always polite and friendly, all in all a pleasant stay at Soho Boutique Holbox.

It was a nice location very close to the beach! Further away from the center but a 20 min walk along the beach was fine. The room was nice everything functioning, ac was always on. The staff was very friendly.

Nothing really special. The pool was out of order so we could go to the one of the neighbouring hotel. Breakfast was at this hotel as wel. Next time i think we would go for a hotel that is on the beach so you don’t have to go to a beach club during the day. Overall it was a nice stay but nothing really special.

The hotel is beautiful and very close to the beach. The hotel is owned by the same person that owns other beautiful hotels around, and that makes the stay even better because you get to spend time in different beautiful places for free.

It’s not really the hotels fault, we got very loud neighbors that screamed, watched TV in the middle of the night and did not have any respect for other people. The room was made so we could hear it all. But the hotel gave us an other room so that was perfect and very kind of them

The hotel was really close to the beach, with sun loungers available and at a quieter part of the beach for during the day which was nice. The bed was large and comfortable. Access to the sister hotel

Due to the straw roof, you could hear EVERYTHING in the next room. You could hear their conversations word for word and more…the hotel is located a bit away from the main town and due to the poor infrastructure the roads are impassible when there has been rain so the only way to get there is by a walk on the beach which can be treacherous at night, especially if the tide is in or else by taxi which can add up. It was a little overpriced in my opinion.

I strongly recommend Soho boutique Hotel. Originally we booked 2 nights at the Hotel, but we liked the place so much, that we decided to stay for 2 more nights. The staff was very helpful with whatever we needed. The location is great - 15 minutes walking from the crowded center. For us it meant that we could spend lazy days in a very calm surrounding and easily walk to the center in the evening for a dinner or a party. Great facilities - the hotel has its own sunbeds on the beach where we'd spend our days.

This has nothing to do with the hotel, but I believe it's an appripriate place to mention it, since it will concern all guests. To get to the hotel from the port you need to take a taxi. The first two drivers I approached by myself told me that the price was 200 pesos, however when I approached them with my wife, the price went up to 300 pesos. I personally think that 200 pesos for a 15 minutes ride is a lot, but making it 300 pesos in 5 minutes is a scam.

Mateo greeted me upon arrival. Very sweet, kind and also fluent in English. The property has two pools. I didn’t use either because I’d rather enjoy the ocean. The room was a good size, especially considering that I was by myself. The furnishing is basic but it has everything one needs. The Minifridge, the access to a balcony and refillable water at the reception area were welcome bonuses. Beach Towels were given upon request. Wi-Fi and internet services were steady, no disruptions. AC worked fantastic. Free continental Breakfast was offered across the street from 8:00-10:30am at the Hau Hotel. The coffee was strong, the portions were on a smaller side but were filling for me. The staff is accommodating and not pushy at all. Free use of the Spirit Hotel (rooftop! and loungers ) and the Hau Hotel (private beach with loungers) properties. It is a tad of a secluded, and hence, a quiet area with iguanas chilling in the sun. Two restaurants and a kiosk 2 min away. About a 15 min (fast paced) walk into the centro but I was aware of that, so that was fine. A “taxi” to the hotel is 150MXN oneway and well worth it, if you’re traveling with luggage. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, if you want to have access to a private beach without paying for consumption but be aware that it is not centrally located.

The room and overall property is not the most modern but it’s adequate. While the towels and sheets were clean, I wish the room was cleaned a smudge better. I had a dead cockroach laying on the floor for two straight days, even though the rooms are cleaned daily.

Just back from 8 nights. And including the cyclone..eek. Staff exceptional. They are definitely rock stars. Two stars Carlo and the head maid worked 35 hours straight to keep us safe. We loved our stay and staff and room and hotel. We just did the beach nearby every day. Amazing. Breakfast at sister hotel is mediocre despite the kind staff. Make sure your eggs are fully cooked one of us got Salmonella poisoning there 100%. Only fully cooked eggs!!!!

Food at spirit. $80 bucks CAD for two burgers and colas. Meh breakfast. And we are pretty easy to please. Staff are nice.

The helpfulness and friendliness of the staff was particularly great. If we had any questions about where to go, which tours are recommended, or anything else, we were always supported. The breakfast was also very good. We would particularly like to emphasize the staff member Julian, who always accompanied the breakfast. He was extraordinarily attentive, friendly, and helpful. He gave us good tips throughout the week and was also a person on a personal level who made our stay at the Soho Boutique Hotel so unique.

The only thing we would have to say is that there were not enough towels in the room and they were only changed once during the whole week.
