The location cannot be beat! Extremely clean and the staff was great.

Water pressure in the shower was very disappointing.

I love the downtown vibe but with that it can be little noisy. My room was on the ground floor right behind the front desk. I kept waking up with the music from the nearby clubs. Maybe the rooms further back is less noisy.

This hotel is in a great location, just steps off 5th avenue, and walking distance from many excellent restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the room we selected, which included a large terrace where we sat and enjoyed the lively city below. We slept fine in the bed provided, and I appreciated the kettle in the room to make some instant coffee in the mornings before we got going for the day. The hotel is really cute, with a nice tropical vibe. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

I wish I'd have known how poor the water pressure is. As a curly hair girl, I had to stand under the showerhead for a ridiculously long time just to get my hair wet enough to wash. Also, the water was quite cold. If we let it run for 15-20 minutes it sometimes got just below what we'd consider luke warm. We also didn't realize you can't flush toilet paper, which was a bit of a surprise - but I'll chalk that up to overall infrastructure. Our solution (aside from the suggestion to just throw dirty toilet paper in the trash - gross) was to purchase some rolls of dog poop bags from walmart and use those to throw away dirty TP - which ensured our bathroom stayed clean and non smelly.

The staff was amazing, great to be able to leave my key with them whenever I went out to the beach or on excursions. And the hotel is beautiful. There are two sections, one with the pool and one with a jungle-like garden, both lovely. Also loved hanging out on the roof to catch the breeze on hot nights.

So, as advertised, the hotel is in the party district, with nightclubs on either side playing music from 9pm until 3am. It's fine with earplugs and the AC running to drown out the noise. However, there is also a nightclub (the Invictus) under construction right next door, with construction noise from 8am-6pm. Check for progress before booking.

Staff was great! Friendly and willing to help. Always available. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Maid service daily. SAFE location day or night!! Rustic Mayan feel with lots of character. Not your basic plain hotel. Location was just steps from the beach and Zenzi, which is one of our favorite places to listen to music and eat. (The best bar/food on the beach.)

Loose plugin by bedside. (Works, but could use a new one.) Shower leaks a bit. Might need some sealant by shower wall. (Soaked up with towel each day so not a huge problem)

The hotel was excellent value for a small, older property. Our room was overlooking the courtyard and pool so it was quiet at night and we slept well in a comfortable bed with a nice comforter. There was construction going on in the next door property during the day, but nothing to do with Kinbe. The pool doesn't get much sun, so it was a cool dip but it was clean and very refreshing once we were in! Marie, on the front desk, was very helpful about getting around, and accomodating. We were allowed to leave our bags at the desk both before check in, and after check out to accommodate our schedule and make the most of our time there. You can walk straight down the street to the beach and there's a great restaurant/bar there. We found that piece of beach a bit rocky, but if you walk over one street it opens onto a better part of the beach. Very well located and a great place to stay if you are looking for beach, restaurants or night life nearby.

Cute hotel in a perfect location - literally steps away from the beach one way and the main 5th ave the other way. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and the housekeeping staff did a nice job cleaning daily. We loved the restaurant right across the street and the convenience of the location could not be beat. We would stay here again!

The bed was very very hard. The hotel was so loud. Obviously from night life very close which we knew would be the case and that didn’t bother me but there was just lots of other banging and hammering and just generally a lot of noise every morning.

Loved the situation. Located 1 minute from beach..bars and bus station. Carlos was sooo helpful on reception and we booked a trip through him. Fabulous Boho style hotel with with large plunge pool and its own Jungle lol. Very clean well worth the cost. Will definitely visit again.

Sofa bed very uncomfortable..I ended up jumping in with my Son in his Super giant double bed in the loft conversion which was amazing. Sofa bed maybe OK for a child. Shower base got blocked slightly and SUPER NOISY from the night club next door..take ear plugs !! Apart from this we love every minute of our 1 night stay.

The service and hotel environment were surprisingly nice. The air conditioning, hot water, and electrical outlets all worked well, so I have no complaints. The location is literally a 30-second walk from the beach, which has at least two restaurants and bars. It’s a great place to stay if you plan to watch the sunrise at the beach, and it’s convenient for swimming since you can leave your belongings upstairs and simply go to the beach with just a towel. The staff were extremely responsive, and I am immensely grateful for their help.

Inside the room, the décor and facilities were relatively basic.

A bit noisy from the clubs around it, but never bothered us and no sleep lost as result We missed the fact that there are no breakfast facilities but plenty of choice within short walk
