The beach bar is really a must in this city. The staff is also very attentive and the food and drinks are very good aswell. The situation.

The rooms are singular and not at the standing for the price. The terrass is not very comfortable. Pay attention if you don’t like noise during the night because on the room near the reception even on the first floor with partial see view, the bars in opposite of the street are playing musique very hard all night long.

Love the breakfast and location. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Truly enjoy ours stays here. 2nd time and hoping to return.

My family (3 kids) and i stayed on jun 15-20. I didn't like the idea of the lgbt flag at every table in the place. I understand marketing and supporting others' ideals but found it offensive.. as a business owner myself, to be truly inclusive is to be neutral. Allow your staff to identify as they wish, but your business is in business to make money... now knowing, we may book elsewhere during this time period.

Comfortable hotel, not too far from the main tourist attractions but on a quiet street and right on the beach. Food at Lido was exceptional, probably the best we experienced in our Cozumel/Playa del Carmen visit.

We really did not appreciate the loud music in the restaurant at dinner. If the hotel advertises dining to the "sound of waves", we should be able to hear them, right? The balcony door needed convincing to completely shut - nothing that could not be achieved by strong persuasion. The battery on the remote for the AC died late in the evening, so we had to manually turn the AC on and off.

Good small hotel. The highlight for me was the great and polite staff….they helped me navigate the hotel and provided good suggestions on things to do in Carmen. The rooms were clean, housekeeping was thorough every day and their partner beach club Lido was a delight.

FYI - The beach club can get affected by the tides. At high tides the beach club loses considerable space but I personally did not mind cause I had a hammock on my balcony.

The property is centrally located to literally everywhere you need to be in Playa del Carmen. The famous 5th Avenue for shopping and restaurants is a short walk away, the beach is directly in front of the hotel and a few blocks further for even more sand, and the restaurant/bar at the property is amazing. Communication with the staff was super easy and they were always extremely helpful and quick to respond. Rooms are spacious with nice bathrooms. Everything felt very comfortable. After seeing a lot of the other beach front properties we knew we made the right choice staying here. It was by far the best we came across in PDC

You can not beat the location of this hotel. Right on the beach across the street from an oxxo and near all the bars and restaurants.

No elevator to the 2nd floor.

Great central location, boho decor and styling, accommodating and kind staff, impeccable cleanliness, delicious breakfasts, loved Lido restaurant, and ocean front. We stayed for a perfect week and would definitely return. It was a working holiday for us and wifi was great.

We could hear clubs at night in the distance but it wasn't enough to prevent getting a great night's sleep. Light sleepers might prefer a room facing the garden. We were right off the entrance, near the street and perfectly fine.

Colibrii Beach is my hands-down favorite place to stay. I am a loyal customer to this hotel, and have been for years (I’ve often changed the dates of travel to Playa according to their vacancy dates). It’s as close to the pre-tourist boom there is, ie, the only real “boutique hotel,” where you can walk out onto the sand right from your door, with the beach and sea just steps away; a small business feel with friendly staff, not bugging you to watch time-share videos. It’s also close to all the action. I almost don’t want to alert people to this little gem, because there are only so many rooms, always at maximum capacity as it is. But they absolutely deserve the accolades and I’m happy to provide it. Don’t change a thing.

I was hesitant of booking this hotel because I felt the pictures showed very "meh" rooms and sad bathrooms, although the beach area looked amazing. I was so pleasantly surprised with the room, the pillows, bed, and even the bathrooms. Having breakfast everymorning with your feet in the sand was great. Breakfast was perfect, with their divorced eggs being so delicious we had it 3/4 times. Their shrimp ceviche is a generius size and super fresh! Location is unbeatable-right in the center surrounded by night clubs, restaurants, and stores, yet with ocean front. We walked the shoreline to the ferry to cozumel for 10-15 mins instead of going through the city.

The toilets are weak, we needed to flush atleast 3 times, and was super annoyed and embarrasing. Other reviews mentioned the street noice from the nightclubs going into 4am - def keep in mind if this would get you annoyed cus it's indeed loud. We loved being part if this area so were not bothered. Plus not a huge issue if staying mon-wed compared to the weekend.

All hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. All communal facilities were in excellent order. The room was a good size and the bed was extremely comfortable. All bathroom facilities were in excellent condition and worked perfectly. Balcony area was on the small side but was fine for use with simple furniture and a very comfortable hammock and washing line. Rooms were tended to daily and all linens replaced if desired. Attached restaurant provided delicious breakfast (not included in the hotel price but drinks and dinner if desired were also excellent). Additionally - we had an excursion booked and the hotel provided a takeaway breakfast option. This was simple but was a welcome option we were very grateful for. Hotel beach area was kept clean and staff were available to wait on you if desired.

Room service wasn’t delivered at a consistent time; meaning you could return from a morning out and interrupt the housekeeper. This was marginal and didn’t overly inconvenience us. The bar area is lively until around 11pm - as the restaurant/bar operates privately sometimes there are non-hotel guests there until this time.
