The concept is amazing but maybe not for everyone. It’s very wild. We spent one week: few days on a tent and the rest on the Ocean View Villa. Both a bit challenging until you get used to it. The beds are huge and comfortable. The deco is conceptual and beautifully organic. The program for wellness is diverse and interesting. Great staff specially José and Dani. We had a health issue caused by the mosquitos and front desk helped to call a local private doctor who came in less than one hour in the middle of the night and she was incredibly kind and helpful. Macondo and La Popular have great menu and atmosphere. The staff in both is really attentive and dedicated. The breakfast is wonderful and plenty of fruits, cereals and protein. Like you don’t need another meal until dinner. The pool area is great. Like paradise. The front desk staff is very helpful and always ready by WhatsApp.

We didn’t know the wellness activities have to be booked in advance so we missed couple of them and it was annoying. The waiting list system should work more efficiently with WhatsApp so you’re aware of possible cancellations.

The location was amazing, the vibe and facilities were great (and restaurant options)

While the staff of the restaurants was very kind and super helpful, the reception employees were unprofessional unhelpful and impolite. Prior to our arrival, we received at least 5 different emails and What's app messages from the Facilities professionals/conceirge/ wellness instructors/reception desk with all available restaurants menus, options and timelines which we really enjoyed, however these people were very hard to find afterwards and there were unresponsive and impolite in person which took back their proactive approach before our arrival.

My stay was perfect. Special thanks to Alexis and Sam who kept in touch with me. I travelled here all the way from Ireland alone, and I was a bit nervous, but I was well looked after. It’s a perfect mix of wellness & transformation, cool music and cocktails.

There’s nothing I didn’t like but I would say if you’re making a booking, get breakfast included otherwise you’ll end up spending each day on all your separate breakfast items. Oh and use bug spray day and night! And remember you’re in the jungle, so you’ll see some creatures during your stay. I never had a problem and found it magical to see a cute family of racoons, small lizards, and many beautiful butterflies and dragon flies.

Bliss at its best From the moment we arrived at Nomade Tulum, we were greeted with warm smiles and taken to our rooms ( one jungle bungalow & one beachfront) The staff, particularly concierge Ricardo, Tito, Piraña ( next time were going spearfishing! ), Sol at journeys, and the never stop beach cleaning team : one gentlemen from Acapulco & one from Honduras plus all the waiters by the beach and at both restaurants: Macondo and la Popular plus Antonio Capitan de meseros were incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our entire stay. The beachfront location was breathtaking, and we loved waking up to the sound of the ocean waves and watch pelicans fish all day. The whole stay left us feeling rejuvenated. The food was exceptional, from the superb breakfast ( try the Croque madame , a must) to the chef's special at the restaurant La popular ( Amazing cuisine with some of the best fish dishes not only in Tulum, in the Country). We particularly enjoyed the Tuna tartare by the beach)). Rooms where always impeccably done and the housekeeping team is invisible. If looking to pamper yourself in a quiet amazing stretch of the most beautiful beach in Tulum without lound music and obnoxious people ( I strongly recommend to leave the kids at home or go to a different hotel if your planning to bring them here. This is a serene environment, surrounded of wellness activities and a cool vibe.We dont need kids jumping by the pool or watching cartoons over moms mobile phone. If yours are over 16 and can relate to yoga and a pyshodelic breathing classes ( which by the way was incredible) and are well behaved then bring them to connect with nature and a cool vibe, otherwise, find an all inclusive in Cancun. Overall , our experience was outstanding, and we would highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a relaxing and memorable getaway." Cannot wait to get back

October 2024

I stayed in Tulum from 5- 13 October on my own and had the most beautiful time ever. I woke up each morning in the early hours to catch the sunrise at the beach and honestly cannot describe the views- it was like a dream. I loved my room (I stayed in the tent). Before my arrival I came across some negative reviews about the tent etc and was slightly worried however, it was perfect. Yes there was noise, but majority of the times it was the sound of birds chirping, the wind and rain- all of which added to my experience in the best way possible. I did have some loud neighbours on the last couple of days but it wasn’t a massive issue for me. Tulum in general was really quiet as it was end of season I believe- this was also a perk for me as I’m not into large crowds etc. Another thing I LOVED were the classes/wellness activities. I took part in yoga, Qi Gong, ice plunge and took part in some classes i.e. The Human Design and The Gene Key. Sadly, I missed the Temazcal ceremony (this is on Mondays each week apparently). I was barefoot the entire time I was there (unless I left the premises to visit other stores). It was an expensive stay for me overall and so, im not sure if i can ever come back, but really hope i can. Thank you!

The only criticism from my side is the food/drinks- I really wish breakfast was included. I ate at La Popular and Macondo and both were extremely expensive BUT it is what I opted for so I’m not complaining 😊

Amazing at first we where concerned when we realise one of the rooms we booked was tent but I can ensure you it really is a 5 star experience. Bed was massive and everything worked as it should every detail is carefully crafted. Breakfast was incredible and what they give us which was included in hotel booking was enough. Staff are really friendly we also booked Villa for my family and it was great experience for them too turned out there was more than enough room to sleep 5 adults and 1 child there. All the health and wellness activities where great too. Truly amazing experience worth every penny spent

I absolutely loved the facilities at the beach. Real beds, great service, in front of an ocean that seems like you died and went to heaven. The restaurant La Polular is the perfect place to eat clean and delicious food, and they provide live music every day at 2pm. I listened to local music and live eletronic music of different styles and absolutely loved it. 10/10 I stayed at the deluxe tent and it was aaaaamazing. Air conditioning actually works in spite of being a tent with screens, I don't know how they were able to achieve this, but I appreciate it. The outdoor bathroom was a bit a hassle when it comes to using the toilet and bugs come right at us (I'm allergic and I basically had to bathe myself in bug repellent all the time, not just for this. But if you don't like this, maybe an inside bathroom is better for you). Nonetheless, showering on the outside was an special experience, I absolutely loved it. The sheets embrace you on your sleep, the bed is very comfortable, the room is beautifully decorated. The only thing I missed was a drawer cabinet, the shelves available were not practical to unpack. 9.5/10 The amenities are varied and I didn't take part in any wellness event, so I can't really say if they were good. What I can tell you is that a friend of mine had recommended this hotel for us and she did use these facilities and this was one of the reasons why she liked this hotel in particular. Beatiful hotel as a whole, they are nestled within the nature and it feels great walking among trees and sand corridors, it does create a great getaway ambience. It has everything: the real nature and pure luxury very well combined. 10/10 Now, about the parties. Tulum as a whole has an eletronic music season between December and January (I went from Jan 10-16) and parties happen everyday during sunset hours and during the night.

I didn't like the concierge that was alloted to me. I asked her to make reservations and all I heard was "I'm running out of battery", "this place takes too long to answer". I just gave up and made the reservations myself over Google Maps, I don't understand what the big problem was. My friend who recommended this hotel used the concierge for everything, so.... I'm not sure what happened to this concierge who was assigned to me. 0/10

The rooms, the design, the beach, the restaurants, the staff, the weekly event calendar (including yoga, breathwork, temazcal (for extra), workshops, fire ceremonies etc.) EVERYTHING was fantastic. I am in love and I want to go back! It was a dreamy, romantic, barefoot stay at Nomade which was the best experience I had in a hotel my whole life - not even kidding. Don't get caught up on the negative comments... I was very concerned after reading all the bad reviews but to our surprise everything was perfect and smooth. Upon check-in we asked to change our ocean front room to another one which had a day bed and the next day (because the first day they were all occupied) - done. However, our first room was actually way larger so bummer... anyway oh and when it gets windy it can be really loud to sleep there so be aware. Both the rooms had the best amenities though... I don't want to give spoilers you should just see for yourselves and get as excited as we did as you're being shown around your room haha! We loved the restaurants La Popular (thanks David for your service!) for both lunch & dinner, and Macondo was just perfect with its oriental vibes & live music in the evening and the food was yummy. The staff was really helpful as well, so thank you! And the "Journey Designers" which help with your wellness journey in the hotel are the sweetest, friendliest people. Special thanks to Maria & Jose. Thank you for your kindness! And Lorena from front desk and Sofia from concierge! <3

The wind at the beach due to weather - not the hotel's fault... :(

Place is amazing if you want to get away and relax and love the beach this is the place, Very clean beach and property, Our room was great better then expected, our outdoor area wow! We did not use the plug pool as it was cool at night. The sound of the waves were great. Jungle hotel all outdoors. They Provided all natural Bug spray and Sun tan lotion at the pool , most places would try to charge you, this was nice tough. . Place is amazing.. They have a lot to offer if alone and I was on a date and they made it special.. Sushi Restaurant was perfect , try it if you love Sushi.. great experience and worth the cost. We will go again and stay in the same room.

We were encourage to go off property and try some place that were all about the money and not the experience. I would recommend to avoid any place with Min spend.. , Hotel had a special event that night and was not recommend to stay on property. Auto light that keep going on in-front of our door and not go off sometimes for a while, should be changed we report it and hope they will fix it. as you don't want bugs or mood to keep changing on the amazing patio.. Could only get Ice after room service closed, recommend to have basic available like fresh limes for late night tequila or your sick some things to help. Alll was locked up
