Marta and Favi and the repair folks were absolutely the best! We could not have asked for a more responsive, joyful management team, who, at the end of our stay, felt like family.

Centro Historico is a bustling city center and sometimes the noise from leaf blowers etc, was hard to tune out, but it did not appreciably affect our overall comfort.

Marta, her nieces & Miguel were excellent. Very friendly, accommodating, helpful & responsive to any requests. Love the guests who come for several winter months. Very friendly, welcoming & inclusive and have good tips about what to do and see. And love getting to know them at daily happy hours. These people and the location of Villa Serena are the reason we have stayed 3 times in the past. Although we emailed Andrea before this trip, we were told that we must go through booking.com. Despite coming for a month, we were charged the full daily rate. No discount to stay a month! We understand that guests who return every year should pay less. However expecting guests to pay 2.25 times more is ridiculous I’m very sad that we and the other couple who travelled with us (2 units) will not be returning as a result

The location was perfect within walking distance of pretty much everything. Room was clean and bathroom is modern and has good water pressure. Bedrooms were large and beds were comfortable. Lots of areas within the complex to sit outside. Staff members Marta and Deisy were terrific both were friendly and accommodating.

A chair or luggage rack in the bedrooms would be a recommended addition. Sitting ones dirty suitcase on the bed to unpack is just not an appealing option, I brought in a barstool from kitchen into the bedroom to sit suitcase on.

Villa Serena was a safe, clean, friendly accommodation for my three week stay. The staff were exceptional in responding to any issues that arose. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept on, and the shower had good pressure and heat. I would definitely stay again.

Some of the advertising is a bit misleading - the pool is very small and shallow and provides more of a refreshing dip. And the hot tub was not hot, but again a refreshing dip. I didn't see a subbed, but nor did I ask. None of these detracted from my enjoyment.

The cleanliness of the place(Daisy gets 10 thumbs up for hygiene), safety (keys to lock gate/room) and proximity to restaurants (so easy to walk to)! GREAT beds, huge & comfortable plus most nights are quiet so you can sleep. (Note:there is a neighbourhood dog that may get on your nerves at 3:00 am).

Wifi was sketchy (only in the main living room), the couch and kitchen chairs are uncomfortable AND the only closet for hanging clothes is in the living room - we had a 2 bedroom place and kept our clothes in our suitcase for the entire month stay .... just an odd thing.

We were at Villa Serena and the staff were very friendly and the guests as well, we meet a very nice people. We enjoyed a lot the location close to many great amenities, we walked everywhere and enjoyed a lot the colonial style of the area. The Hotel is beautiful design.

No laundry service or facilities close by and the fan over the stove didn’t work and we were missing a bathroom mat even thought we enjoy the head shower and the pressure of the water but it was a mess every time that we took a shower.

Authentic Mexico at its finest! We loved absolutely everything about our stay here. We are travelers who prefer the real deal over manufactured comfort for tourists. So, this authentic former residential apartment property was perfect for us. If we have the opportunity to stay in Mazatlan again, we wouldn't hesitate to book here again. We did have a car, so it was easy to get to the other beaches. We loved the historic district, but it's not as close to the more popular beaches if that's important to you.

The only thing that I wasn't accustomed to was the lack of natural light. To keep things cool and private in Mexico, you gotta keep it dark and enclosed. There were plenty of electric lights, of course. Our room was also right on the courtyard. With 24 units, I imagine there were other apartments situated differently on the property that had more light.

this property is amazing and perfectly located in the heart of Mazatlan! Walking distances to everything you would want to attend to during your stay in the city! it’s on the nice side of town so there people here are all well mannered and clean. best coffee spot as soon as you walk outside. would def recommend staying here every single time! we fit a family of 8 comfortably

The location is great. Staff were amazing from the first touch, my husband had an online meeting, they let us have an  early check in . Wasn't expecting 40 units!! Did not at all felt crowded to me. Maybe because we were on the third floor above the jacuzzi but still.Room was pre cooled, so it was nice, clean and cozy. no cooled water thou.Nice little pool, great for cooling down.

No parking or arrangements with close by day or night pensions, even though we were lucky to find parking at nights and following days, we were not the first day at our arrival. An exterior shower for the pool would be nice and a downstairs public bathroom, we were on the third floor and going up and down with a stroller was quite a challenge (when asked or if they see you around, staff is alwas happily willing to help)

Great location, spacious suite, friendly and helpful staff, funky charm.

Zero communication from staff until just before my trip. My rooms were light enough, still very interior. I usually book space with, if not a view, at least an outlook.
