Our stay at this beautiful dar, located in the heart of the Medina, was truly enjoyable. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The property was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. We would not hesitate to recommend this dar to others. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

There was only a thin curtain in the bathroom, and the window directly faced another house with a rooftop terrace. In the evenings, people who live in that house were on the terrace and could see into both our room and the bathroom. For privacy and comfort, a thicker curtain or better window covering would have been appreciated.

I recently stayed at Riad Dar Liouba in Essaouira during my holiday, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! Everything about this place exceeded my expectations. Oussama and Hamza were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality made me feel truly at home. The riad itself is stunning—a beautifully maintained traditional Moroccan house with so much character. Every corner of the house is charming . The location is also perfect , right in the heart of Essaouira’s medina, making it easy to explore the city. I can’t recommend Riad Liouba enough for anyone visiting Essaouira. It’s a gem that combines comfort, beauty, and top-notch service. I’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful Riad/hotel, centrally in the Medina. The room had all facilities needed. Breakfast was very complete and it was served with all fresh products. The staff was very friendly and supportive. The shower had good flow and enough hot water. The central area has a cosy atmosphere. Staff recommended a cooking class, it was at home of the cook and a real 'go local' experience.

No elevator, so we had to go up several stairs to go levels to get to our room. Staff was so kind to help and brought our luggage to our room. The side walls of the shower do not reach the ceiling and there was no door or curtain at the entrance of the shower. After showering we had some water spillage on the floor of the bathroom. In the room you can hear some noise of other guests e.g. when guests go to their room late(r) than us.

The property is amazing. Full of character and it is a calm oasis from the city. The beds are very comfortable, and the rooms very large with lots of character such as having books in the room. The shower gets nice and hot but the best thing about the place is the staff. Hamza is a pleasure to deal with and so hospitable, as are all the staff including the ladies serving breakfast. I had a wonderful time in Essaouira and it’s absolutely down to the wonderful people in this city. Thank you all. I will return.

Everything was superb . I made a last minute booking and mentioned that it was my birthday. When I arrived a beautiful bunch of roses and a birthday cake was there for me. Was given a complimentary upgrade to a bright and comfortable room. Everything was spotless and well kept. The staff were exceptionally kind and outgoing, we really felt that that they loved doing their jobs. A great choice , conveniently inside the Medina, but quiet and calm and easy to reach. The morning breakfast a generous feast . Was a great choice and would reccommend to anyone travelling to Eassaoiura.

It was a very quiet location that was convenient to everything. The staff were all very kind and considerate about checking that we were pleased with everything. They also arranged a driver to pick us up from our riad in Marrakech for our one-way trip to Essaouira, which was super helpful! This was done efficiently through communication via the booking.com messenging facility. Everything was very clean and lovingly cared for. Breakfast was excellent.

The only negative we found was that our chosen room was a little bit stuffy as we did not have a large window to open to outside. But we did see the other, larger, rooms available for a little more money. They looked very nice and had nice exterior windows for fresh air and views.

This is a beautiful property with a wonderful location and friendly staff. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by the staff and the smell of oranges which is nice. It is a really charming property with a light-well that connects all the rooms and makes it feel much larger than it actually is. Our room had everything you could need for travelling alone, but some friends said their rooms didn't have a window to the outside, only the hallway which made for a stuffy sleep. The breakfast was also great and we did not have to wait long at all to be served. The location is also great as the city is quite small and you are immediately put out into the white and blue streets as soon as you walk outside. It doesn't take longer than 10 minutes to walk to the seaside or the historic city walls.

It would have been nice if all the rooms had windows to the outside. We even visited in February and it still got quite stuffy in the rooms that only opened out into the hallways. The stairs are also very steep which made it difficult to bring large luggage up and down so pack light.

Such a beautiful place to stay! We loved being right in the thick of it in the medina. Rooms were spotlessly clean, bright and airy. The whole vibe of the hotel is lovely - peaceful and beautiful. Breakfasts were delicious too. The hotel staff were really helpful with airport transfers and suggestions for where to eat. Thank you!

Great Ryad, great host, great room. The host is adorable and here to give a lot of advice which really improved our stay. The hotel is close to a door of the Medina which is convenient if you plan to go out of the Medina during the evening.

Farther away of main attractions of the Medina(from 10 to 30min), felt like a bit out the the touristic center of the Medina
