An absolute pleasure. First point, the staff: They were incredibly attentive and friendly. Really gave us the VIP feeling, as if our wants/needs were the only thing that matters. Despite not being alone in the riad, we really felt like in our own cocoon. We wanted to order food, and they made the call for us as well as delivered it to the door. Same for reserving a table at a restaurant, making sure they (the restaurant) would keep the kitchen open for us despite arriving late. Also, checking on us during breakfast and cooking as we wanted Second point, the room/riad: As soon as you enter, you are taken by the handcraft and beautiful decoration all around you. Be it the fountain, the tadelakt, or the furniture, everything looks great and fits perfectly together to showcase the Moroccan deco style. Built on 3 or 4 floors depending on your view, it is relevant to note that there's a jacuzzi on the rooftop. We got the "Orientale" room, and let me tell you, probably one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in. Gorgeous decoration and fusion of modern equipment (for example, a perfectly capable AC) and traditional morrocan style. In addition, the bathroom is the master piece, a gigantic bathtub, enough to fit 2 people fully submerged and have some wiggle room, will be waiting surrounded by rose petals. Great to note that everything is made of tadelakt with some beautiful wooden accents. Third point, the location: Perfect location due to being very close to the entry side of the medina so you can park easily while still having at most 10 mins walking to reach the ancient walls or the other side of the medina.

Honestly, nothing. Just to point out, there is currently some construction being done in the surroundings of the riad, but that is nothing to blame them for, and it was very manageable as they only start around 9 am.

We had a fantastic stay at Riad Chbanate in Essaouira! The place is chic, cozy, and full of charm, with beautiful design and a relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful view from the rooftop launch area! What truly made it special was the staff — everyone was so kind and welcoming, especially Samira, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Nothing was ever too much for them! They gave us amazing restaurant recommendations and helpful tips for exploring the city. You can really feel they care about your experience. We left feeling like part of the family. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a lovely stay here. Our room was richly decorated with wood and lightly smoke scented from the fireplace. The room was effectively open plan however, so depending on your room choice I'd suggest going with someone who your happy to share everything. Although if not, it would be no hardship to take some time out in the courtyard or the roof and enjoy the view. The location looked a little out of the way at the edge of the medina, but as it's only 10-15mins walk across the old town it was perfect. Breakfast was particularly hearty with eggs, Moroccan breads and pancakes, fresh orange juice and even my own thoughtful plate of strawberry's when I'd mentioned how much I'd enjoyed them the day before. Already wondering when we can go back.

errr, can't think of much. Due to the design of the building there is a little noise from the floor above but nothing particularly problematic.

Great location, tranquil riad that was easy to find and hard to leave. Samira, Greggy, Hicham, every single member of Staff was so helpful, friendly, professional and kind! High standard service! The jacuzzi was a great addition to the terrace. The bath tub was the absolute best ever, huge and bath salts included! Fireplace in the room was romantic and cosy for the windy evenings. The premises were always immaculately clean. Also, there was a turtle! Perfect riad for our 2nd anniversary. Thank you again for the wonderful stay and for organising the taxi, we will be back!

Pillows weren't the most comfortable but that's personal preference. Also a heads up if you want the fire burning in your room, it might smell smokey - but that was fine with me!

This Riad is easy to find, on a lovely quiet street just inside the medina walls. The communal courtyard area is beautiful - a pretty fountain (and a resident tortoise!) and fresh roses on every table. Our room was enormous, with a very comfortable bed and huge bathroom. Extremely clean. Great breakfast, including ample fresh fruit. We ate dinner one night in the restaurant - really good, freshly home-cooked food - recommended! With only 8 rooms, this Riad felt like home - particularly also because of the staff, all of whom were just so very, very nice! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights here and highly recommend.

Our only comment would be the shower over the bath … the marble bath was enormous, with access steps: very glamorous, but not so easy getting in and out!

This place is incredible! The most wonderful calming place to unwind for a few days. We absolutely loved our visit. The rooms are beautiful. Attention to detail is brilliant with the lovely decor. Loved the beautiful stone bed and bath. The terrace with the hottub is a great place to chill out. Location is perfect for Essaouira. Will can't wait to return, thank you for a great visit. Breakfast was also fantastic

Our stay here far exceeded our expectations, and it was our favourite riad that we stayed at in Morocco. The staff were so lovely and catered to our every need in a relaxed, effortless and friendly way! The breakfast was delicious. The Riad itself and our room was super cool, well designed and spotless! The room exceeded our expectations and was even nicer and larger than the photos suggested. We even had a fire in our room when it was raining one evening which was lovely. We can’t recommend the riad enough. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful stay.

We loved everything about this place. The staff were extremely kind, the whole Riad had a cozy, friendly family atmosphere that made it instantly feel homey and welcoming. The decor was lovely and everything was comfortable. The rooftop was extremely peaceful, as was the atmosphere of the whole Riad. We appreciated how thoughtfully the Riad was put together: it was gorgeous and comfortable, but also practical and calm. Breakfast in the morning was great, and the dinner they prepared for us at our request on our first night was also delicious. When we asked if a fire could be lit for us in our room after dinner, the staff made it happen without hesitation and left us some extra wood. Our room was perfect and had a comfortable bed. It also had a fireplace and two chairs to hang out in, as well as an incredible bathroom. As per the promotional photos, our room had a vase of roses in it and rose petals artfully arranged throughout the bathroom when we arrived. It was an extremely thoughtful touch that we never expected to occur in reality, but we appreciated the gesture and attention to detail. The housekeeping staff was incredible and our room was kept absolutely spotless by them throughout our stay. The location is also great, just at the outer edge of the old medina. Not only does that mean it is quiet in the rooms, but it get you close to everything you likey want to see and allows you to walk and enjoy the streets. (As an aside, I got food poisoning during our stay (not from the Riad) and the staff were lovely and caring, even following up with me to see how I was feeling the next day and sending my husband up to our room with fruit for me when I did not come down to breakfast. We cannot say enough good things about the people who work here.) I would highly recommend staying here. We feel it was very reasonably priced and good value for money, plus our overall experience left nothing to desire.

Amazing riad in a quiet neighborhood! It is located in a walking distance both to the beach and the city centre, inside the historic medina. Rooms are beautifully decorated with attention to detail. There is a fireplace in the room which they light whenever you want. Beds are really confortable. Breakfast is perfect: very generous and complete with sweet and salty options, orange juice and fresh fruit. Staff of the hotel are very helpful and nice, with very good recommendations. I totally recommend staying here!

Unlike most travellers who are making stops for a couple of nights, we stayed over a week. In other words, there was plenty of time for a mishap. There simply never was one. We were so comfortable and the family who run it were simply delightful. Nothing was too much trouble. Located just inside the Medina it is perfectly located for heading in or out of it.
