Stayed at the Riad Chalymar for 3 nights in early March. It's in an excellent central location for exploring Marrakech. It's situated down some narrow streets and not the easiest place to find but felt very safe even when returning late at night. The were staff very helpful and attentive and breakfasts were lovely. My room was clean and tidy and the shower and facilities were good.

There's some building work near the Riad but it wasn't noisy and it didn't was any disruption. However, you do have to navigate your way past them to get to the Riad.

It’s a traditional riad that is well maintained and kept clean. Location is very convenient if you are looking to explore the Medina, Mosque or the Jamaa Al Fnna areas. The breakfast is delicious. All the staff are extremely welcoming & friendly. Both, Sarah and Mohammed were available to help make recommendations or support in any way to make your stay comfortable. The staff were exceptional and I would highly recommend the place.

My issue might be specific to the room I had but the room on the ground floor which is not noise proofed. This might be uncomfortable for yourself or others if like me you snore :)

An incredible, surprising experience. The street to the riad seems difficult but it's kind of Marrakesh, very close to Jemana Alfena, 5 minute walk. The breakfast was very welcoming and varied, they even arranged for us to be there 1 day earlier because we were going on a tour. Sara and Moahmed are kind and wonderful people, they gave us information, we shared tips, experiences and we made friends. Very kind, I love this people. Wonderful people. We loved it and we will repeat our experience at this riad. I recommend .

We want stay more days but we need work in Portugal.

We had a great stay at this beautiful riad. It had a private rooftop and nice, clean rooms ❤️ Really friendly staff that helped us out with everything we needed and even offered to show us the way to the bank etc. Really great location! It was close to the big square but also nice and quiet. Staying in a riad feels much more personal than in a hotel.

Really hard to get the right temperature in the shower. Also missing some fruit in the breakfast. Besides that we have no complains!

The breakfast were lovely and the staff were all very helpful whenever we required something. The Riad is also very well located as it is closed to all places of interest within the Old Town.

The room did not have a towel in the bathroom on the first morning. This was quickly rectified by the staff.

The staff offer the nicest of welcomes, greeted by Moroccan mint tea and cake on arrival, we were immediately put at ease and given the chance to relax by beaming smiles and warmth from Sarah. Nothing to is too much trouble for Sarah, Fouziya and Saoud. They are friendly, kind, polite and so helpful. Fouziya made the tastiest breakfasts and also adapted the menu to the gluten-free needs of our party. They are happy to chat in Arabic, French or English and take time to ensure you have all that you need and are interested in your stay. The 2-bed bedroom was spacious, clean, and charmingly decorated, as was the bathroom. The Riad itself is bright and elegant with a fantastic plunge pool at the centre on the ground floor. The water is fresh but not too cold. You reach the Riad by entering a series of enclosed alleways but Sarah came out to show us the way and then you quickly remember it. It is about 10 minutes walk from the main square with the bustling Medina and Souks, so the location is perfect for a central stay Birds tweet in the daytime and it provides an oasis of calm in the busyness of the city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend the Chalymar Riad for a wonderful base close to the city centre with the most helpful and courteous of staff.

There is nothing to dislike, but perhaps to point out that its not ideal for those with mobility difficulties, as there are quite a lot of steps to reach the larger upper rooms and access to the riad is through cobbled alleways. No lifts.

We adored this Riad and the gorgeous people who work there. Our stay in Marrakech was made very special by the wonderful Manager Sarah and her great team. She couldn’t do enough to help us and the warmth of her bubbly welcome made us feel so much at home. The Road itself is gorgeous, a beautiful and peaceful oasis from the hustle of the medina.

We loved everything about it

The staff was very welcoming despite me arriving at 9:30pm. They offered mint tea upon arrival. Friendly and quick communication for all my questions before arrival.

It was a bit challenging to find late at night in a quiet part of the Medina. Asking people as I went let me to the riad.

Very good breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff! Quiet neighbourhood although the riad is not easy to find, follow the instructions on google maps but be careful because it is not very precise, the staff is available if you need help

I love everything about this place. I’ve traveled all over and this was easily the best stay I’ve ever had. Everyone is so so friendly and kind and helpful. It’s very easy to get lost in the Medina so Soufiane and Sara were always helping me figure out where to go. the Riad is beautifully decorated, the water is HOT, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are great size for a reasonable price. I will definitely stay there again!
