The room was lovely, with a comfy double bed, a small seating area and a well equipped bathroom with toilet and shower. The riad is well kept and has a nice little plunge pool in the middle of the courtyard. Its set about a 5-10min walk away from the main medinas and is about 10mins from the Bahia Palace - all the main sites can be walked to from the riad. The breakfast is good and a good start to the day.

A little signpost on the first walkway off the medina would be useful as it can be difficult to find on your first visit. Everything else was fine for my visit, I didn't need anything else which wasn't supplied by the riad and its helpful staff.

Friendly warmest welcome with lots of help on questions before we even arrived. Helped us with a taxi from airport(defo advisable) on a first trip to Marrakech and staying in the medina. Spent time on our arrival to guide us with what to go and see. Organised us a day trip. Lovely breakfast every morning on the rooftop of the riad. We had dinner in the riad the first night and it was a fabulous tagine. A charming traditional property only a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of the main square. It was so peaceful back in the riad. A lovely space to chill and relax. All the staff were so kind and accomodating. G Would highly recommend a stay here.

We loved our stay. Cozy interior and friendly staff. Amazing rooftop terrace to enjoy the sun. Very tasty breakfast prepared by two lovely women. Thank you for everything, we are very happy.  It is located very close to the Djema el-Fna square and we could easily walk anywhere. A lot of nice restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood as well.

A few things to keep in mind when coming to the riad: the address was wrong in google so we were dropped off at the completely other side of the medina and lost our way. It took us a long time to find it. I would recommend booking a taxi with the Riad. Another thing we didn't like was the fact that the bathroom isn't closed of off the room. That means there is no privacy using the bathroom or toilet. This was in our room, so not sure how it is in the other rooms.

I really enjoyed my stay here! Anwar and the rest of the team were so friendly and proactive – they made me feel very welcome. The breakfast was excellent every morning, and the warm, attentive service from the staff really stood out. The facilities, including the spa, were also fantastic. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The location is a bit tucked away, just off the main road and not directly accessible by car. It takes a couple of turns on foot to reach, which can be a bit of a hassle if you have a lot of luggage. That said, the upside is that it’s a peaceful and quiet spot, which I really appreciated.

We had a great welcome on arriving, and the inner courtyard is beautiful and peaceful after our car journey from Essaouira, followed by a trek through the medina. We stayed only one night, on our way back to the UK, but found time to enjoy the hammam and massage on the rooftop. Breakfast was also served on the roof, and was tasty and substantial. The riad is staffed by really friendly people who go out of their way to help and ensure you will enjoy your stay there.

The shower cubicle is a little dark, and the water a little slow to drain away, but one way to manage this is to make sure hot water reaches the basin tap beforehand, so that not so much water collects in the shower while you are waiting for it to warm up.

Loved the Riad , the location was excellent, only a 3 mins walk to the hustle and bustle of Souk Semmarine ( once you get your bearings) . Mohammed is an excellent host , with great communication throughout. He organised a taxi from and to the airport, also organised 2 trips . Ouzoud Waterfalls being 1 , and a sunset Camel trek . The highlight being Ouzoud Waterfalls, a definite must if you spend a few days in Marrakesh, and not expensive at €25 for a full day’s tour . All the staff at the Riad were very welcoming, and friendly, and on the first night Mohammed invited me to dine with him , some staff and his friends on the roof terrace . As it was Ramadan we were eating after sunset , and it was a pleasure to sit with them . Would highly recommend staying at Riad La Calèche , I thoroughly enjoyed my stay .

Brilliant location, tucked away so nice and quiet, but a short walk to the main square. Near everything, so don't have to pay for taxis. Staff were helpful, and I loved the daily breakfast on the rooftop. Loved the decor, you really feel immersed into a completely different culture. Would definitely recommend.

Location is difficult to find at first. Make sure you look for the sign that says 'Koutoubia Spa' and follow the alleyway round. Once you have found it once, you get used to finding it again.

The riad is a wonderful place, just a few meters away, a local restaurant with excellent food. Riad La Caleche is really a wonderful place. Daily delicious breakfast on the terrace with a view. Service on the highest level, everything always delicious and fresh. The room was cleaned daily, towels were also changed. The riad due to its location is very quiet and you can't hear any noises from the street. But everywhere is very close. The neighborhood is safe, even if I came back at midnight, I did not feel threatened.

It is located at the heart of Marrakech. A bit difficult to find at first, but as soon as you walk through the narrow alleys, you'll remember the way quickly. Just look for the shield in the picture and follow it's path. I liked the breakfast a lot - freshly prepared by the working ladies with traditional tea, different sorts of bread, some kind of morocco's peanut butter, the usual european stuff like jam, honey, boiled eggs and so on.

The "staff" wasn't very helpful. He spoke arabic, but not so much english or french. He was friendly and kind, but we had difficulties understanding each other. The working ladies in cleaning and cooking were more helpful with their know-how and their language skills (english, french, spanish, a bit italian, arabic, ... just mindblowing).

Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Cooked elements were freshly made. Perfect location for entering the souks and Medina. Very close to a meeting point for some tours - The Cafe de France. Always felt safe. Single room was on the ground floor and exactly as in the photos. Host / Manager Abde was excellent - prepared to make bookings as required, and making Taxi booking to and from the airport. Contact by Booking.com before arrival was excellent.

Nothing the riad could do about a few wasps around the top floor.
