The best location ...very good owners behavior . I feel homely hospitality especially owners mother was so kind ..i feel so luck to be first guest of this hotel..it was nice holiday .thank u all the team neamber of this hotel. And thankw to a friend who works in kitchen he was so helpful and kind.i recommended to all please kindly visit this wonderful hotel and feel like your home. Very soon i will make plan to go and stay in this beautiful place...

Initially booked for just one night but ended up extending my stay for a few more! Perfectly located in the heart of the heritage area, just steps away from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and within walking distance to most iconic sights. The staff and owners are incredibly friendly, super attentive and informative, making it a warm and comfortable place to relax and recharge. The rooftop restaurant is a gem, offering seasonal views over the Kathmandu Valley. I spent every morning after the complimentary home-cooked breakfast just soaking in the peaceful rooftop atmosphere:)

Not a big deal but space to improve for the bathroom:)

The room was great. Comfy bed and amazing shower. However, when we arrived by taxi, we were followed by a man on a motorbike who demanded we paid 1,800 each for the entrance fee to Bhakatpur. This was a surprise to us and not a very good first impression. It would have been nice to be told about this entrance fee before we arrived so we weren’t greeted by an angry man and forced to pay a lot of money that we weren’t expecting. Not the hotel’s fault but maybe they could inform guests about this extra payment before they arrive. Also, the free breakfast was really small and we ended up going out and buying breakfast every day after eating it. Other than that, the hotel was really good.

The room matches the pictures and description. It's a bit cold at night but at least the hot water in the shower works great. Wifi was generally good. Within walking distance to Durbar square and very easy to find. The place gets a bit noisy sometimes but if you wear earplugs it should be fine. The young guy working at the reception speaks good English and is very friendly and helpful and he also plays the guitar! Good value for money.

Honestly, the only thing I didn't enjoy was breakfast. It is very basic and not very tasty in my opinion. They should consider maybe adding a few more options as it felt very limited.

My stay at the Hotel Durbar Side has been absolutely precious. Most of all, i appreciated the people working there, they went above and beyond to make my stay as enjoyable as possible, and they always made feel very welcomed. The room was perfect for a five night stay and the breakfast was always delicious. The hotel is just 2 min walk from Durbar Square and in a very beautiful area too, nonetheless it is pretty quiet. Right out of the hotel there are little shops, local places to eat at a reasonable price and everything else is at a short walking distance. I have really appreciated my stay and I would come back, recommended!

Very clean, tidy hotel with amazing breakfast on the rooftop. Comfortable bed, new amenities. Very modern bathroom and strong hot shower. Top Location. The owner Sulav is beyond helpful, friendly and kind. I had an issue with the wifi, I got offered another room immediately. I had an issue with my credit card for the payment. He went to the bank with me to fix it. Never something like this happened. I can highly recommend this hotel!

Location is great if you like the quiet less crowded sides like bhaktapur. I wish I would’ve found his place earlier and stayed there for the length of my trip which was 15 days. I came there for a second time as the bed is very comfortable and the second room had a kettle and AC. The owner was very kind and caring, he helped me with a friends pick up and showed him around the city while I went to thangka painting class. He also picked me up and dropped me off at the airport, I felt very safe and supported during my stay.

The toilets in the rooms are extremely small.

The location was unbeatable, right beside Durbar square. There were lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. The location was peaceful and staff were very helpful. The breakfast was the tastiest I had in the whole of my two weeks in Nepal. I loved the bara and freshly made pancake - the coffee was also great. It took a little time to get breakfast, but it was worth it to have it made fresh to order. The room was large and clean with views out on to the street whilst still being quiet. A transfer to the airport was organised for me. Nothing was too much trouble. Bhaktapur was my favourite place to visit in Nepal - it was a great base to see other nearby villages and cultural sights and felt very authentic. I was glad I picked it as a base for three nights. The hotel was new and there was plenty of hot water.

There are lots of steep steps which were fine for me, but may be a challenge for those who are less mobile.

We loved the hotel, right inside the durbar square in bhaktapur. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. You have everything you need: clean bathroom, hot shower, thick blanket and we even got a balcony. They also have a rooftop with an amazing where they serve a delicious homemade breakfast. The staff made it even better and made sure we were taken care of at all times. They were very very nice. From the very beginning we knew that we would have an amazing stay, the owner picked us up and and gave us tips for our stay in bhaktapur. At the end of our stay, he offered to drive us to thamel for a very fair price, as it was raining. Definitely if you come to bhaktapur I wouldn't choose another stay that wasn't Hotel Durbar Side. Its situated almost in the heart of baktapur and easy to reach to all the attraction in darbar square, its clean, nice and cozy... very good wifi and attentive staff, owner is a very nice guy... he take care of his customer very well

Bathtoom was too small so i needed to adjust myself to take a shower or use the toilet... no problem for me, but it was not comfortable one for sure
