Tulaja Boutique Hotel was the best accommodation so far during our stay in Nepal. We were welcomed in a very hospitable way. Even though we were way earlier than check in time, they tried to get our room ready as soon as possible (which was 30 minutes after arrival). The diner and breakfast we had were both really good. When we checked out, they even arranged a taxi for us to go to the next location (for a fair price). We would definitely recommend this place!

20 out of 10 for service. Excellent location in the Durbar Square old town area. Boutique antique-style decor. My room had a fan usually warm and sometimes hot water, a fan, a balcony, desk and a big, comfortable bed. Clean, good WiFi. They altered the free breakfast to my liking. I arrived late and manager got his mom to make me whatever thali I wanted. Arranged taxi for me when I left. Great value budget hotel with charm and decor.

Food not very good except the veg thali. I think because not many people stay in Bhaktapur except for daytrips so most of the restaurants seem not stocked up or have old stuff.

Breakfast is excellent you can get in room or rooftop view . Staff is excellent they are very humble and very supportive staff. They are taking care their guest very well. I love these staff people. Location is excellent place at bhakthapur. You can get taxi from hotel or near touriest place. Or you can travel using public transport in affordable price

The room was very comfortable and I liked the wooden floor and the interior design of my room. The terrace is one of the highest view points of Bhaktapur and you have a 360 degrees view. With a clear sky, you see the snow capped mountains. The breakfast included is a real, nutritious meal. Often, I would not eat again until dinner. The hotel is just beside the main square, in the most ancient and beautiful area. The staff is extra kind and friendly. The quality/price ratio is excellent. I stayed at Tulaja one week and I felt like at home. I definitely recommend it.

Great location in the heart of historic district of Bhaktapur. Walking distance to Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, and many restaurants. Wonderful and friendly staff members. The rooftop is where the restaurant is located from where the view of Bhaktapur is amazing! Enjoy your lovely breakfast with great views.

It is a historical building with wooden stairs. I was lucky that it was not fully occupied during my stay. Staff members' foot steps going up and down the stairs can be heard from inside the room. I got a room with 2 single beds and a small kitchen counter. There is a non-functioning sink which I think should be taken care of. I used the spacious kitchen counter space. Fantastic! The toilet's water tank flushing mechanism should also be checked regularly.

I had a great stay but have a couple of small suggestions: On the first night there was cold water only. Found out next day I had to ask the staff to switch on the hot water. Perhaps mention this at check in. Vegans: the breakfast is very limited, only toast and some fruit. Others get pancake and omelette. Maybe hotel could have a vegan option like fried potatoes (I asked but not available). However the black coffee was very good. But altogether it was a really great stay.

Tulaja Boutique Hotel couldn't be better located just next to the famous Durbar Square. The rooftop terrace is beautiful and overlooks the whole city and whith good sight you have a mountain view as well. Breakfast will be served by the super friendly team on a comfortable nook in the morning sun. The staff of the hotel is so friendly and polite and made sure to support me in whatever way. The AC functioned as a heater and there was hot water at all times and even a hairdryer in my room. Would absolutely recommend this place :)

The people that works here especially Nirmal, are amazing. Perfect service from start until checkout. The guys that works do everything. Really hard workers and always smiling. We were lucky to also have a late check out. Wifi works good. Water refill free. A lot of space on the rooftop. Great breakfast.

Little too much red onion on the burgers. The chicken (fried rice / chowmein) were sometimes hard to chew.

Fantastic location and characterful building . Hot water shower and kettle and an electric blanket which was really welcome for the chilly January nights as no AC to heat the room. Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Really nice roof terrace. I loved sitting there in the morning .

Breakfast menu was set but it would have been good to have had a choice including a local food option.
