We stayed at this hotel for a night and had a pleasant experience. Its convenient location near Durbar Square and other major attractions in Bhaktapur makes it an excellent choice for travelers. The rooms, though small, were cozy and clean. The bathrooms were clean as well. One of the highlights of our stay was the terrace, which offered a lovely view of the snow-capped peaks. Enjoying a simple yet delightful breakfast on the terrace while admiring the mountains was a memorable experience. The staff and owners were exceptionally courteous, adding a personal touch that made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money. The combination of great service, comfortable rooms, and stunning views makes it a highly recommended option for a budget-friendly stay in Bhaktapur.

I really enjoyed my stay at hotel layaku! The second I arrived I felt at home. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Also the best hot shower I’ve had in Nepal. It’s only a 3 minute walk to Durban square and from the rooftop where they serve the breakfast (which was also very good) you can see the whole city and also the mountains. They made sure I could get my laundry done even in a very short time and everyone was super helpful. Please stay here when you’re in Bhaktapur, it’s a really great place!

Located inside historical center, （200meter from central square） also center of downtown（but quiet）, the building was also classic brick traditional style and beautiful. The room is cozy and enough clean. Hot shower is available. Staff were friendly. You can get view of beautiful ancient city/ordinary life of Nepali people from balcony and rooftop （they serve breakfast on the rooftop.）

If they serve fresh vegetables or fruits for breakfast, perfect.

This hotel is highly recommended as it is just few minutes walk away from the famous Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Also, one thing i like about this hotel is the view of the Himalayas from my balcony and you can see clear picture of the Himalayas from their rooftop. I would like to commend also the owner, Mr. Asha who is really accommodating and friendly. He ensured me that I am comfortable during my stay, provided all my needs, and even drop me to the bus station going to Changu Narayan.

Hotel is well situated near to Durbar Square - very friendly welcome and fast check in - big and clean family room - very friendly and helpful staff, especially Asha and the owner‘s mother- nice breakfast (mixed Western and Nepalese style, big pot of tea) - good free wifi - owner speaks German - very reasonable price for the room - excellent value for money - very nice atmosphere in the hotel - highly recommended!

Everything was fine, absolutely nothing to complain about

Loved the location, cleanliness and hospitality of the place. It is very close from the durbar square, bathroom is nice. We didn't get the chance to visit the rooftop because of the rain. Breakfast and the coffee was lovely. They didn't charge for the extra black teas we ordered. Thank you.

Wifi kept breaking but it was probably because of the constant rainfall we had since day before yesterday evening. One of the lady staff or caretakers of the place thought we had checked out and tried to open our room's door without even knocking to check before.

The lolcation is quite convenient (3 min walk to Bhaktapur Durbar Square) while not so busy since it's not located on the main road. So while it's close to majaor tourist area, you can still have a quiet sleep.

There's no heater in the room so it's quite cold in winter (but I think you can pay extra to get movable heater). Also the restroom is quite cold as well but I beleive this is the same for same class hotel in the area unless you opt for higher stars hotels.

Nice family run business. Team was very friendly and helpful. Great location, wonderful views from the rooftop where the home made breakfast is served.

It became quite cold in the room during the night (beginning of December) and water wasn’t hot all the time as it worked on the solar panel. However, it was hot during the day hours. We were offered extra duvets. The water can be switched to the power/ gas if you ask. Unfortunately, we learned that on day no 3. 😅

Fantastic family room. Very spacious and lots of windows to soak up the alleyway life below. 2 mins from durber square and great restaurants on the doorstep. Lovely staff. Decent breakfast in the morning on the rooftop with views across the city to the mountains. Hot showers.

Nothing! Could have made more of the rooftop, shade/sofas etc and as with all hotels in Nepal, we could always do with more loo roll.

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff ,she makes our trip more interesting with her advices & tips about the city ,supermarket ,shops,restaurants bars are within walking distance. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again Swastika for going just that little step extra for the guests!!!
