Super location right on Durbar Square within easy walking distance of sites. Great rooftop terrace overlooking the square. Decent breakfast. Spacious room, modestly furnished, with comfy bed. Effective, quiet AC unit. Couldn't hear any noise from other rooms. Pleasant staff - Rajesh very helpful with good English.

The room was too dark - needs more lighting. Not enough electric sockets. The wardrobe and drawers needed a good cleaning. The shower unit was just ok - lots of water got on the floor. It could get quite noisy outside at times, barking dogs, roosters, people in the square. The courtyard garden could be lovely if it was tidied up. This is small stuff though - it's great value for money and would stay again.

I wish they would open the bar on the roof (right now you need to order from the reception, 4 stories below). The interior garden is not welcoming.

We had great time in Hotel Traditional. It was our last stop in Nepal, we decided to stay in a nice hotel in Bhaktapur for the end of holiday. Indeed, this hotel was excellent, much more than what we expected. We loved the room style (exactly like the picture)and roof top to see the snow mountain. The location was awesome just next to Durbar square, we could enjoy the durbar square beneath our feet while drinking tea under the sun. The rooms were very clean, equipped with good houseware, bed sheet and bed cover were in high quality, and the bed, wow the bed was the most comfortable one we had experienced in all Nepal! Their food were delicious,and at same time with reasonable price, we had stayed in Bhaktapur for a few nights, we ate in hotel every night after tried couple of restaurants around, the owner and staffs always tried to feed us as much as they could, we must put over 5kg during staying with them, with their smile and kindly help, we did feel the warmness from heart. BTW, their tableware was in high standard too. Last day, we wanted to take an outlook picture of the hotel, we finally realized that our room was just right on the top of a beautiful peacock window ! Such an amazing place!

The staff at the hotel were exceedingly helpful and kind, ensuring our stay was truly comfortable. Furthermore, the hotel's location is ideal, situated right in the heart of Bhaktapur Durbar Square. As it is converted from a historic building, the hotel offers an authentic Nepali charm with intricate carved wooden frames, while still providing modern amenities such as air conditioning, ensuring a delightful and comfortable stay.

In general, everything is quite good. However, there was a day when the cleaning was not up to par, as the toilet was left unattended. It may be beneficial to pay closer attention to detail during the cleaning process.

Great hotel in an excellent location. The hotel is right in the historical area. Its worth spending a relaxing couple of days here and exploring the square at your leisure. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I highly recommend Hotel Traditional. (Unrelated to the hotel itself, be sure to carry your ticket to the square with you. If you wander anywhere near the entries/exits you will be pounced on like they've spotted Ronnie Biggs. At any rate at more than $20 AUD it's not a fee you want to pay more than once.).

Fantastic location, right next to Durbar Square. Everything is within walking distance. The window in the room was very beautiful and classic. The rooftop is amazing—you can enjoy your breakfast with a view of the square. ❤️ The staff were also very helpful. I had a really late flight on the day I checked out, and they kindly allowed me to have a late check-out for my convenience. I really appreciated that.

The room lighting was a bit dim. You’ll need to walk out of the square to get a taxi🤣 but not a big deal .

Lovely Hotel in Bhaktapur. Very nice and spacious room. Good hot shower and nice bathroom. Amazing view from the rooftop terrace. The breakfast was very good as well (Tea, Coffe, Eggs, Toast, Fruit, Curd, Granola). Overall a great stay. Just a side note: you need to pay an entry fee to enter Bhaktapur 15 USD per Person.

The room was quite cold. But the AC has a heater function which helped a lot.

The hotel was situated on the middle of Durbar Square, being able to see the sunset over the temples from the roof was amazing. The staff was super helpful and responsive to our questions prior to our arrival.

No con, just a heads up: As the hotel is situated on the Durbar Square you need a ticket to enter that part of the city. You can get multiple day entrance if you bring a copy if your passport to the desk.

The hotel is in a perfect location right at Durbar Square. The view from their rooftop terrace is just breathtaking. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The heritage room has some extremely unique windows. Staff was super helpful and kind. Their breakfast is super awesome.

Please be aware that to enter the hotel you'll also need to pay 1,800 rupees as entrance fee to Durbar Square, since the hotel is actually on the square. No problem but I wasn't expecting that for some reason. But this has nothing to do with the hotel, which is perfect.

Rajesh and the entire staff were amazing! They are helpful and do their best to ensure guests are comfortable. Our room was clean, comfortable, and we had hot water for our showers. The location is incredible! We walked everywhere. The views of Durbar Square from the rooftop are spectacular. We would definitely stay here again.
