Staff will do whatever it takes to make you comfortable. Offered me many times a better room on a different floor. Only reasons I declined was because I saw no screens on those bathrooms windows…so easy for mosquitoes and whatever else wants to fly in. Lol ..it’s rainy season so mosquitoes love me and this weather.

I can’t say or get into the things that “would” make this place better. For the value of what you’re paying….it’s fine, and one can overlook “screens on bathroom windows” . The restaurant is good. Location is certainly central. Maybe too central if you want a good long sleep. Otherwise the Square is an enjoyable and adventurous walk through the mazes of small streets that is Kathmandu.

It's neither the typical backpackers hostel, nor an anonymous Hotel. We enjoyed a lot the privacy combined with the possibility to meet other travellers in the common spaces. The room was clean, spacious and bright. They provides us some towels and bathrooms supplies (toothbrush, soap, etc..). The staff was lovely and always there for us. The vegan restaurant inside the same building offers a variety of breakfast options, meals and drinks. It's located in thamel but not noisy and you can reach a lot of attractions by walking. We stayed for some days and came back after our trekking and they took care of our bags during that time. From the first day on it felt like home and we enjoyed our time there a lot. If we come back to Kathmandu, we will definitely stay here again!

The workers are really helpful and friendly. Good value for money. Big sized room with comfy bed and en-suite! Super central location.

One night it was a little noisy from the bar next door but nothing some ear plugs couldn’t fix

Everything was great…location, room, comfort, hot water, Wifi, cleanness and hospitality. It’s right next to the vegan restaurant which was also very delicious. Rajendra is an amazing staff…very friendly, welcoming and helpful. He is a wonderful barista too. Definitely recommended and surely coming back!

The staff was so friendly and easy going. I needed a room with a desk and they accommodated me and every request I had. I stayed awhile. Very close to two vegan restaurants and a coffee shop across the street.

Hotel The Doors has been the best place we have stayed during our trip. The staff is incredibly kind and they have helped us in everything we have need. My partner was not feeling very well one day and the woman in the kitchen prepared food and tea for him even when the kitchen was closed. The room was spacious and clean and the location can’t be better, with shops, restaurants and cafes everywhere. We hope we can come back one day!

It's nice place to stay in thamel , comfortable and budget hotel. I stay here for three four time and enjoy a lot nature environment and croud . All international croud stays here and have a nice time to spend here in kathmandu.

very comfortable and very central with helpful staff

The initial room the Aircon was not working but they did change it after a couple of days. The showers did not have enough pressure. Expensive for the facilities offered

The breakfast was good and the hosts were quiet friendly and helpful. They did guide us about the city and surroundings well. Even though we have a problem about the currency. They had made it easier for us by accepting money transfer.

The bathrooms needs to be brighter and the rooms need have good ventilation. The otherwise the place is good especially the food which is vegan. Being a vegan it is sometimes difficult to find vegan food.

+ Staff is ultra helpful, they even went to buy mint tea for me in the afternoon (almost at night) only because Ive asked if they have mint tea. They took care of us when we was sick and asked us many times if everything is okay. + Good menu in restaurant (chilly momo recommended as well as plain toast) + Room was big and had AC + Free water bottles

- I dont like toilet that much as it doesnt contain tiles, only concrete on the foor, but it has hot water so it works. - WiFi is not that great, but sometimes it works exceptional, and sometimes not so well. However, we had room far away from the center of hotel, so maybe this is why.
