I had the pleasure to stay at the Ananta House over Christmas.Had a great time all the staff were great Arjun,Ram,Aakesh, and Sudip. Got good advice on the sights to see and good places to eat.Also well before my stay hotel was in contact about various sightseeing trips and helped me arrange a trek. The hotel is on a nice quiet street and within walking distance of bars and places to eat.The room was very nice and clean.Great double bed.Bathroom was good lovely shower,the TV you could hook up to your phone and internet.My room at the back had a balcony you could sit on.It also had seating on the roof top which was nice. The breakfast was good.

This place is amazing. Starting from the staff (so friendly and welcoming), comfortable and clean rooms. Hot water - always, any time of the day! Kettle for making tea or coffee in the room. On a quiet side street (important when staying in Thamel!). Each room has a balcony. Breakfast is excellent! Order anything you want from the menu, anything will be delicious. There is a rooftop terrace. If you want to can have a breakfast there, or just simply chill in the afternoon or evening. This is my 6th time is Kathmandu and this place for sure is the best I have ever stayed. I chose this hotel based on the reviews and it exceeded all of my expectations. When I come back, I will stay here again!

After staying in over 50 hotels across Asia, I truly enjoyed this one. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and incredibly kind. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I extended my stay because I felt at home. I even rebooked when I returned. I tried another hotel in Kathmandu, and it was not as welcoming. That made a huge difference. I recommend this hotel for your next trip to Kathmandu. You won’t be disappointed. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The neighborhood is quiet but close to great restaurants and nice shops. At night, it’s peaceful. They can also arrange your airport transfer and organize all your activities in Nepal, making your trip even easier.

Not only it’s the hotel in a great location, but the hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and located near everything you need. However, the best part of the hotel is the amazing, kind staff. From the moment I stepped in, to when I left, I was treated as if I was part of the family. They went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. Every time I was by the reception, I was offered tea, and when I missed breakfast, they didn’t hesitate and offered to prepare it for me. I have been many places, but very few where I felt so welcomed like here. With the most sincere of opinions, this hotel is very special.

That I had to leave.

The breakfast was exceptional. It set me up for the day. The room was compact but quite sufficient for someone who was going to be ut sightseeing for most of the day. I really liked that everything worked. Often in hotel rooms there are some facilities that don't work or don't work properly. The friendliness of the staff made my staff very enjoyable. What I especially liked was that it was possible to get a hot shower soon after turning on the shower tap. In many hotels, it takes a long time for the water to run hot and in some cases the water never runs hot.

The soap holder in the shower recess collects water from the shower head. If the soap is left in the soap holder it becomes soft as a result. Ideally there should be a hole in the bottom of the soap holder so that the water can run away. It is a pity that the glass partition that separates the shower recess from the rest of the bathroom is not a bit wider. Because of this, the shower head has to be angled slightly towards the wall to avoid having water spray into the rest of the bathroom. These are both very minor matters but I mention them because the information may be useful when it eventually comes time to update the bathroom.

Everything at Ananta Home was PERFECT. One of the best small hotel stays I’ve had. The location is in Thamel but on a small, quiet dead end street so you don’t have to deal with the noise and terrible traffic in the city. The breakfast is delicious and you can order anything and everything on the menu. Across the street is an excellent coffee shop and next to it a spa where I received two incredible massages. But what makes this place so special is the staff, particularly the manager Arjun. Upon arrival at the airport after a very long flight the ATM ate my debit card. Not a great way to start the trip. Arjun called the bank the next morning and a day later drove me to their headquarters to retrieve my card. I never thought I’d see this card again and was going to cancel it. Arjun and his wonderful staff will make your stay great in any way you want it. Ask Arjun to schedule a massage, arrange a ride or tour at a good rate. I’ll be going back there again after finishing my trek in the Annapurna region.

I really enjoyed my stay at Ananta Home. The rooms are super clean, location is great, in a quieter part of Thamel and the breakfasts are fantastic. Great view of Kathmandu from the rooftop as well. However the best thing about the hotel is the warmth and hospitality of all the staff. They really go out of their way to make you feel at home and are more than happy to advise and assist with anything you might need during your stay in Nepal. It really feels like a home. A big thank you to Arjun, Ram, Roshni and all the team for making me feel so welcome. Hope to return again some day.

Ananta Home proved that it was home away from home. Very Comfortable Clean rooms with instant attention to details from the staff..very sweet and courteous staff. Arjun and Ram went all the way out to help us with our needs. Being cutely snuggled in Thamel...a very happening place..it was very convenient for us to visit tourist spots. Kudos to all and everyone who were involved in making our stay comfortable. I will definitely be recommending Ananta Home to all my friends who want to visit Kathmandu..Thank you Ananta Home for making our stay at Kathmandu .a memorable one.

Honestly blown away by this hotel - everything was clean, rooms were comfortable with all the amenities you could need, a good hearty breakfast included and a lovely balcony! What made my stay extra special was the staff and Ram in particular who was always super helpful and even helped me carry my heavy luggage to the bus station for me at 6am! I’ll be passing through Kathmandu and will be staying at this hotel again for sure.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. When i couldnt find the location they came to pick me up. The hotek room was very beautifully decorated and i had a good view from the top floor. The breakfast roof top was superb too. I had a very good night sleep as the room was completely quiet and air con works well as well. Breakfast selection is good and you can order so many different variety. Finally a hotel with a lift!

The water in the bathroom had a musky smell but i think thats the same for kathmandu
