Great place to stay in Kathmandu! In one of those small alleys I love so much... Big and spacious rooms with AC, hot shower, balcony, and even a kettle They also have a nice roof and a beautiful garden to get some food and drinks Highly recommend

This is a wonderful space. The room has a very comfortable bed and a small sitting area with a sofa. There are enough outlets plus a power strip so you can charge devices relatively easily. The shower has a rain forest head and enough hot water…it’s the simple things! The outdoor dining area (when it is warm) is a lovely place to breakfast. Staff (especially “Sue”) are all kind and helpful. Location is off a relatively calm alley bordered by the “souvenir” street and a more commercial (local) street. Easy to get most of what you need. Don’t forget the museum which is just a few minute walk from the hotel.

This hotel represented a great value for the money. Rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable and linens were clean. Everything in the bathroom worked well. Air conditioning was good. Free breakfast was included in the price. Staff spoke good English. The location was great, in the heart of thamel but on a side street so it was quieter with less foot traffic. The list goes on and on.

If I’m really nitpicking, I will say that one of the windows in the room didn’t close flush so a little noise came in. Also they don’t leave water or clean your room unless you leave your key at front desk, though you can pick up free water on the first floor at any time. And the breakfast is fine for a day or two, but there isn’t any variety so after a few days you’ll be sick of it and will probably skip it.

The location is just prefect nearby ATM , Money Exchange and local Market in walking distance. The bed is very comfortable. The room i stayed in ha a beautiful garden view , especially at night. Wi-Fi and hot shower great too. the staffs are very friendly. Overall a great stay. I will be back sure. Thank you very much Sekai hotel .

Price and garden restaurant is excellent. A quiet place in the heart of Kathmandu's tourist activity.

Hotel Sekai offered two great stays for my first trip to Nepal! The rooms and garden were very comfortable and authentic (very very good value for money from my point of view!) The stuff speaks English, created a good atmosphere and was flexible and experienced when it comes to recommendations. My individual wishes were always respected and implemented. I was able to store my luggage free of charge and was told that there was always a space available for me. That was a great feeling :)

For this price point, probably one of the best places I've stayed in my travels through Asia. The entire place is modern and clean. I had a sofa and table in my room! Huge comfy bed. They really made this a place you would want to come back to. Within walking distance to...absolutely everything. Great staff. You will not be disappointed here.

The hotel is in a very central location of Thamel, near many restaurants and shops that sell hiking gear and souvenirs. The staff was always polite and ready to help with any type of inquiry, such as where to exchange money, where to rent trekking gear, how to get a taxi and information about different Nepal treks. The facilities were clean and comfortable and the breakfast quite generous.

Hotel Sekai exceeded all expectations! The location is perfect-close to major attractions yet peaceful. The rooms are modern, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The staff are attentive and go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the rooftop garden so relaxing. Highly recommended for a relaxing and memorable visit!
