Room was spacious and clean, staff were helpful and friendly. Had a really great massage at their spa. Courtyard is divine and so cosy- I loved spending time there under the flags. Starting hotel for many tours. Provide drinking water on every level which is convenient and helpful.

Mattress was not so great and pillows not the best- I didn't have the best sleep here however hotel was lovely, I would still stay again. Breakfast- eggs cooked to order and a large range of options however I felt it could have a slight improvement. Staff are quite attentive which is a plus. When I ordered food off the menu for dinner it didn't match the description- queried and we were all confused. Not a big deal, 'no expectations' is my motto when travelling.

Great location close to the action of Thamel but away from the busy road. Lovely garden and roof top terrace with great city views to relax in. Nice rooms. Free drinking water provided with a refill station available. Food very good. Very good massages available at the onsite spa. Professional luggage storage provided free of charge.

My room was on the first floor above the kitchen/restaurant. The noise from people cleaning up in the kitchen continued until about 11.30pm and carried up the stairs - so it was very loud in my room. Also there were people talking very very loudly in the reception area pretty much all night and this again was very noisy in my room and stopped me sleeping - I can only assume that this was members of staff, but I can’t be sure.

We stayed for five + nights at this hotel. It is one of the cleanest nicest hotels we have stayed in India or Nepal. The rooms are cleaned every day and the bottled water left daily is very convenient and helpful. Wi-Fi also works well Complimentary personal care kit in the bathroom also. Air conditioning and shower also work well and the water pressure is good. Laundry service available. As is a local guide map Breakfast includes cereals, fruit, bread, pastries, coffee, tea and national breakfast dishes also freshly made omelette of your choice. Staff in the breakfast room are very attentive and it’s well run. They have local beer on tap and a good dinner menu. Location is ideal for the markets and restaurants of Thamel and is walking distance of Durban square. Taxis are available outside the front door and the concierge will help too. Have to make a special mention for the reception staff all speaking good English, accommodating , pleasant and willing to help. Especially Namgayl, Bari khanate,Arbin and Putnam and Kristila. Hope I’ve spelt the names right!. Well done to the manager in choosing his staff wisely.

A small point, although the rooms were cleaned daily the floor was only swept which resulted in grubby feet/socks if the complimentary sliders were not worn

The rooms are really noce and complete. The bed was perfect. I loved the hot shower. The staff is teally friendly and interested. Having breakfast in the garden is a must do. And don't forget to visit the rooftop to watch the city walking up or the mountains when the sky is clear enough.

Great stay once again at hotel moonlight - just on the edge of the Thamel area and easy access by walking to many of Kathmandu’s historical sites, it has a great location. The hotel is very relaxed with a lovely garden area for lunch and a few drinks. The breakfast is very good with excellent omelettes. The rooms are clean and modern. The staff are very helpful and speak good english to make your stay as easy as possible. The complimentary taxi shuttle service to the airport is also very good. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Very luxurious hotel, great breakfast buffet with enormous choices, nice garden inside to relax with a drink and a bite. Good location in Thamel. You can also book a very nice massage!

My first night was on the 7th floor and I had problems with noise from one of the machines on the roof. The staff told me it was new and not settled in correctly yet. For the next nights they gave me a nice room on a lower floor, so they handled it great.

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was really powerful and hot and there were plenty of towels provided. Love that there was a safe for valuables. Breakfast food offerings were delicious and staff were always friendly and helpful.

There could be a divider between the shower and the toilet/sink area, as the shower is powerful and gets the whole bathroom pretty wet. Other than this, I liked everything about the property and room.

I usually stay at Hotel Moonlight, where the warm and friendly staff make every visit a pleasure. The front desk team is incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with any needs. The restaurant is attentive and caters well to guests' preferences. I highly recommend Hotel Moonlight for its excellent service and welcoming atmosphere.

Breakfast was great did the buffet.could not complain at all,it had some Nepali parts to the menu and the australian parts as well.nothing could have been better at all

There is nothing to improve at all.if anything sometimes the language barrier was a bit troublesome.
