Best reception staff, best hospitality, good food, out of the world ambience, best rooftop views, rooms and dorms are exactly as you see in the pictures (yes, I stayed in both) ! Sorry if my write up seems like a paid review, but I absolutely loved everything about this place , so , not holding myself back 😃

Duh ! Loved everything!

Hostel will be closed at 11 pm. So no noice after 11pm

They take extra money than booking.com price. And 1000 NPR deposit.That's kinda drama actually. So change some extra currency from airport and keep.International credit card also won't work sometimes.a then in booking.com you choose your room with hill view n all. There you get what ever available 😄😄. So don't expect you will get what you want. They have good paying guest than us. That's all

The staff is so friendly and nice, Especially at the cafe upstairs— the gave me endless plastic wrap for my new tattoo and very friendly all around. The roomtop view is super nice. Pick up service was super nice and clean car. Also they carried my heavy bag up like 5 flights of stairs. I got an executive suite since it was my last two nights in country and it was really nice. Luxury of a bathtub looking out was really nice and it was a very spacious suite. Cafe had big list of food and all of it delicious

Contacting to arrange pick up involved me contacting through every means possible to get a reply. Water in tub is rusty looking and jets dont work Railing on stair up to roof would be nice.

Good location, close to Thamel and to the tourist bus stop as well. Safe place for solo female travellers. The bathroom was clean with good running hot water. Clean bed and pillows. Our room on 2nd floor was very quiet. Staff were very polite, helpful and flexible. As I took the night bus from Pokhara I arrived very early in the morning, but they let me in the common areas and even could check in around 7 am without paying any additional fee. Highly recommended.

With a common kitchen and a real co-working space with windows the place would be perfect for a longer stay.

The staff were friendly, easily approachable if we needed anything. The room was large and comfortable. Free toiletries, hot drinks and water available. Replenished whenever requested. The onsite restaurant was a great bonus. Great food and drink choices at good prices. The rooftop dining area was a great place for a meal. Also, Flock staff arranged our airport transfers. The rates were fair too.

I went to the restaurant that has a view of the temple several times and one of them I asked for a soda with lemon and I asked for it to be sugar-free, but they brought me lemonade with sugar, I asked for it to be changed and in the end they charged me for it on the bill despite pointing out the error. It's not the end of the world, but I didn't think it was fair, and they don't tell you much, just that you pay. They don't have an area to meditate or do physical activity, but in the photos there seems to be 🥹🥲

The hostel is good in terms of amenities and location. The staff were good and responsive.

I missed the social vibe in this hostel. I usually stay in a hostel to connect with fellow travellers and that happens mostly at a common place where people sit, chill, booze and chat. This was completely missing in this hostel as they have a very small common area where you will hardly find any person. And they don't allow outside liquor which I think should not happen in any hostel. Hostels are usually preferred by travellers on a tight budget.

Very comfortable, large hostel with all the facilities for a good stay! dorms were very comfy, the restaurant and cafe is amazing, another one on the rooftop was also amazing. plenty of space to chill out, and the location was perfect. Just in a quiet corner off one of the main roads in Thamel, so a few minutes walking to all the shopping, and also just a few minutes walk to the tourist bus departure point.

I stayed 12 days altogether at Flock Hostel, on 3 separate periods through April-May, in a 4 bed, 6 bed and 10 bed ladies dorm. It was like a home away from home, in a great location, very safe, with a dedicated staff, from reception to travel desk, to restaurant, cleaning and general services personnel. Kudos, and keep it up! 👏👏👏

Just a few suggestions like: (1) putting a mirror in the 4 ladies dorm (not a detail after all, for LADIES!) (2) creating a hanging space for small, occasional washing (when you're not back from a trek with LOADS of worn clothes to send to laundry service) rather than have these small items hanging on the balcony railings on the 4th floor, with the cleaning ladies' rags (not a pretty sight!)

Amazing and clean hostsl in Kathmandu. You don't regret staying here. The beds are amazingly comfortable. A huge safe storage under your bed to keep your stuff while roaming around the city. The staff are amazing, nice and very helpful. Food in the two resturants of the hostel is great and you experience the best view ever on the rooftop. I am so happy with my choice and I will always go back to Flock if I get back to KTM.
