Access to Nepal This is my 2nd time to Nepal and I still choose Access to Nepal to stay at. Though it’s not a 5 star, very new or fancy hotel, but with very affordable price, they always offer clean room and stable hot shower 24/7. And all the staffs are so nice and helpful. Even the security guides always help us to talk with taxi driver (we book taxi from Pathao App) our location in Nepali so as to make the communication efficient! The bed, pillow and quilt are so comfortable to sleep so well .

the hotel is in the center of Thamel so it’s so convenient to have food, shopping and there’s a convenient store you can buy anything there. But there are some bar near by so there may be some music during the night, but as for me, I close the window then it’s ok to sleep otherwise with earplugs is a solution.

Though it’s not a 5 star, very new or fancy hotel, but with very affordable price, they always offer clean room and stable hot shower 24/7. And all the staffs are so nice and helpful, any help includes storage our luggages there for 14 days safely without any extra charge, or any problems for example refrigerator is not working or we need ice, just a phone call they will come to serve immediately. The front desk staffs is always so helpful, especially the staff Ram, I always can met him and get help, they may help us to lift the luggages or me and my trekking company often leave something in front desk to let each other to take it without have a fixed meet up time. Even the security guides always help us to talk with taxi driver (we book taxi from Pathao App) our location in Nepali so as to make the communication efficient! The bed, pillow and quilt are so comfortable to sleep so well always.

Having spent a week in Kathmandu on this most recent trip, at a different hotel each night (of the same price range), Hotel Access was probably the least run down & it didn’t feel dirty. I had a nice room that included 2 comfy chairs, a coffee table, a short dresser table and closet with a few hangers. I had a proper balcony (with 2 chairs and a table) that had a view down on to the street & a café below (shown in pic). Breakfast was from 6am-10am on the 4th floor (covered) rooftop terrace. I was told that they only have a buffet when there are enough guests. But they provided me with fried veg & potatoes (with seconds), eggs of my choice and toast. Fruit was not an option. They were very attentive, providing me with 3 cups of my beloved milk tea. The shower has no curtain (typical of Nepal) but had a hand-held shower head. I had 2 showers while there: in the daytime the water was cold, but it was wonderfully hot in the evening. The hotel is in a busy part of Thamel & consequently quite noisy at night. (My room was opposite the Reggae bar, but I didn’t hear its music on a Friday night.) The bed is hard as a rock, typical of most places in Nepal. Check-out time is noon, (not 2pm as posted on booking.com). But the manager (Ram) was very accommodating and allowed me to stay in the room a little longer, and then to loiter intermittently in the lobby (with wifi access) for the bulk of a rainy afternoon while I waited for my very late night flight. He intermittently offered me tea/coffee and even a piece of chocolate.

This hotel is right in the heart of thamel so it's central to everything. The staff were super helpful and went out of their way to ensure everything was OK. The front mgr, Ram, was so incredibly helpful and a real credit to the place. He was always there and always smiling. Rooms are a little jaded and the hotel can be very noisy from road side activity and general music bars around it but you have to remember that this hotel is super central. The Rooftop breakfast room is pleasant to sit on if you want to be outdoors.

Beds are hard so not overly comfortable and the walls are thin so it can be very noisy from corridor activity.

What my partner and I liked most about our stay was the breakfast, the staff, and the location. Breakfast was included in our booking and we could not have been more pleased with the selection and the quality of the food. If you are vegan, vegetarian, or an omnivore; Hotel Access will satisfy any of your dietary needs. There was chicken sausage, curry, chow mein, fresh fruits, coffee, tea, hashbrowns, pancakes, and much more. The staff ensured that all our needs were met, whether it be arranging a ride to the airport, providing fresh sheets after accidently spilling orange on them, or even lending us a scale to ensure our checked baggage would meet airline requirements; we were well taken care of. Last the location could not have been more perfect, right in the heart of Thamel Kathmandu. Food was not only available at the hotel, but were spread out only a stones throw away. A dizzying array of shops selling any good you could imagine were plentiful. ATMs were adjacent to the hotel, and cultural sights were a short walk away. You would be wise to choose Hotel Access as your gateway to the capital of Nepal, don't think twice!

The streetside room on the fourth floor was slightly noisy. The patio door did not close completely which prevented us from blocking out the sounds of the city. No matter though as we had earplugs at the ready!

We stayed at Hotel Access Nepal for 3 days and had a great time. Staff was kind and friendly, made us feel like home, especially Ram and kitchen staff. Hotel service was impeccable and rooms are clean. There is air conditioning and hot water available in the bathroom. Food at the hotel restaurant was exceptional with a wide variety available, something for everyone. Best part, visa and mastercard are accepted. Definitely recommend this hotel and will visit again.

I stayed at Access Nepal Hotel for the second time and loved it again! The hotel is right in the middle of Thamel, making it easy to go to lots of cool places. The rooms are big and comfy, making it nice to relax in. The Wi-Fi is quick and always works, which is great for staying in touch with people or just browsing the internet. The people who work here are super friendly and go out of their way to help with anything and make you feel like you’re at home. Breakfast is yummy and has lots of options, so there’s something for everyone. Choosing to stay at Access Nepal was definitely the right call. It’s got everything you need: a good location, nice rooms, friendly staff, good food, and reliable Wi-Fi. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Thamel!

Great location for Thamel, bus station etc. Extremely helpful staff who always went out of their way to make sure whatever we were trying to arrange worked perfectly. They booked our Chitwan bus for us and held luggage, even kept our old room for us to come back to. Very much at home in Kathmandu.
