I loved staying at Hotel Lo Mustang. My room was large and beautiful. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I had my whole trip in Nepal. The breakfast was really nice with many options and live cooking stations. The staff was friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood is great for walking all over Thamel, going to restaurants, shopping, etc. I would stay here again.

The pool was green when I arrived, but as soon as I said I wanted to use it they had a professional team there doing a major cleaning job that day. So now the pool should be nice to use. The second issue I had was that Thamel is very loud at night. I happen to stay there Thurs/Fri/Sat nights and there were bars/clubs blasting music until after 2am each night. Even with earplugs and a white noise machine I couldn't sleep. This is not at all the fault of the hotel, and pretty much anywhere you stay in Thamel will have a similar issue. Just something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper.

My wife and I were thoroughly delighted with this lovely hotel. We stayed a full week as we explored Kathmandu and the surrounding valley area. Ms. Deepika Shrestha, assistant front office manager, provided useful advice and guidance for our many excursions throughout the entire Kathmandu Valley. Indeed, we found all the staff to be warm, friendly, and ready to go out of their way to be helpful (including Sunil, Riya and others at the front desk). The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, with upper storied rooms providing panoramic views of the city. Having spent a full seven mornings at the hotel we were pleased with the quality and variety at the breakfast buffet. The hotel’s location is ideal. In the heart of Thamel district—Kathmandu’s traveler’s enclave—it’s convenient to a wide array good restaurants, bars, and shops. There is plenty of interest along the way to Darbar Square (an 18-minute walk). Situated as it is in an accessible back street, it is pleasantly removed from the hustle and bustle of Thamel that, while often enlivening, can also be wearying. It was always nice to return there in the evening and take advantage of the view from the rooftop bar.

The reception staff are so kind. Despite being central, the room was really quiet. Localization is superb - surrounded by services, countless bars and restaurants, in walking distance to Durbar square and other monuments. Very clean. Good breakfast Good wifi and TV

Some minor issues: - pillows are too slim - the bathroom easily gets flooded when chooses the ceiling shower - pool and rooftop bar not really inviting, maybe the pool is too small and the surround is decorated in the best way possible (nearby hotels enjoy better spaces) - should be reformulated

We loved everything. Stunning hotel in the heart of Thamel. I highly recommend having dinner there, the food is exceptional and the staff would go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Everyone who works there is so kind and understanding and ready to help with anything. The breakfast was also exceptional and super delicious. This was an incredible treat after a tough hike through the Himalayas. Stunning hotel, beautiful rooms, the best staff, high end food and great location. I literally cannot rate it higher. Manager went above and beyond to make us feel like home. I will be definitely visiting this hotel again during my next stay.

Everything was great - staff was very friendly, flexible, and accommodating. Staff helped arrange a driver to take me to different sites on a tight schedule, hotel was walkable or a short taxi away from attractions, and staff had good recommendations for the nearby area. The terrace restaurant was a great place for breakfast (the breakfast spread was HUGE). Because the hotel is located in a side street in Thamel, it was actually pretty quiet and peaceful (especially compared to other very loud hotels and streets in the Thamel area). The hotel was safe and there were no issues walking back at night or down the street to get to the hotel.

The location of the hotel, the staff from reception to restaurant to cleaning to the management. Absolutely excellent. DIPIKA the manager was very helpful. She organized the trips and was very knowledgeable. Nothing was to much for her. In fact on occasions she went out of her way. Always a smile the receptionist Anisha always a pleasant welcoming smile. Nadin and Roshan bar staff were good. Clean rooms All the hotel was clean Sauna and steam and massage were excellent

Everything was good no complaints

The breakfast is outstanding - far better than most hotels, let alone in this rice bracket. Good choice of hot hood, pastries, muesli and cereals with nuts n seeds, fresh fruit, Indian and Nepali dishes... And more. Beds and pillows comfortable, water reasonably hot. The meditation gurus they brought in were excellent.

Traffic on streets is very hectic - pedestrians dodging motorcycles, occasional cars n cans.... One can get used to how to walk. Payment for extras is handles at a separate desk, a bit slow and clunky.

Good breakfast selection including egg station to order. Waiters were attentive and can provide masala tea or other beverages on request. Rooms were spacious and kept clean throughout our week long stay. Complimentary water was topped up every day which was much appreciated. Staff were very helpful and friendly - keen to share suggestions about what to do in Kathmandu and to have a chat in general.

Fantastic trip to Nepal and staying in this hotel contributed much to the successful trip. All was wonderful, especially staff, cleaning services, breakfast
