I had a fantastic experience at Backyard Hotel! The service was top-notch from start to finish—every staff member was welcoming, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The rooms were extremely comfortable, especially the beds—super cozy and great for a restful night’s sleep after a long day of exploring. The food was also excellent—delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, every meal was satisfying and enjoyable. A special thank you to Sagar Pandey for his exceptional hospitality and helpful nature. He truly made our stay even more enjoyable with his kindness and professionalism. Wonderful Experience at Backyard Hotel – Highly Recommended! I had a fantastic stay at Backyard Hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the great hospitality and warm welcoming nature of the staff. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making my stay extremely relaxing. The food was another highlight – delicious meals and a tasty breakfast that I looked forward to each morning. Everything was fresh and flavorful, adding to the overall excellent experience. Value For Money. Safe, Clean, Comfortable. In the middle of main tourist area "Thamel". Walking distance to Durban Square and the Kumari Temple. Many nice cafes, restaurants, bars and shops in the area. Everything in the room worked well. AC, Wifi, TV, private bathroom with hot and cold shower. Friendly and Helpful Staff, helped arrange Taxi to the airport.

Considering this is a budget hotel . It provided great value for the money . The Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel and the room was safe, clean, comfortable and in the main tourist area of Kathmandu. So can not really complain.

Stayed here for like 4 days best option in town to stay amazing staff very helping people special thanks to Mr Rajendra (Owner)who took care of everything (specially for nepal currency exchange with upi)what we needed from cab to great food suggestion and best place to visit around it’s open 24/7 and also come with your friend and family very decent price as well Location is really great everything you wana visit and chill around are near by most recommended please please do visit once you are Thamel

Nothing to dislikes

Despite being located in the center of Thamel, the room is extremely quiet, you can hear the night disco only on the toilet. AC

The hotel has one room per floor without an elevator. Some sockets didn't work.

The room was neat and clean. The bed was comfortable as well. The amenities provided were also good 👍. Although there is not much to see, the environment is peaceful.

The bathroom needs to be repaired as soon as possible as well as the location of the power socket needs to be in properly within range of the bed.

In a quiet backstreet. Decent room with roof terrace. No lift so be ready for lots of stairs if you want top floor. Nice breakfast. Like most showers in Nepal not really 'hot' but sufficient.Central for all Thamel shops etc

Good hotel in respect to price, staff are very friendly and good in nature, more or less food is good, house are clean.

Location is good but hotel is in backyard so no window or verandah in rooms makes room very much cosy.
