The hotel is good, clean, and conveniently located. The staff is friendly,the breakfast is tasty and so is the coffee. As I left too early on the third day, I got a little pack lunch with me , which was sweet. Rooms are spacious (it is my second time here) and clean. They have been quiet also and I've never had a room with traffic too close so that's a bonus.

Hot shower has been a little hit-and-miss on both times. I asked for hot water and only then did they heat the water. Normally it is heated with solar panels (apparently) and it was a couple of rainy days during my stay, but after my request I got a very hot shower. Just need to wait for the water to get hot so be patient.

Room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was great and coffee was good. For being such a central location the room was quiet. I had a shared bathroom, but no one else used it so it was basically private. Hot water was a little hit-and-miss in the shower, but it wasn't the end of the world.

The sheet could have been newer/ cleaner, they looked a bit used and one duvet cover was totally torn. Perhaps it was just an older set. The shared bathroom bin was full for 2 days at least even when put outside in the corridor to be emptied. Some staff seemed a bit lethargic about this kind of attention to detail. But once again, not the end of the world. These are small things.

the hotel management really made me feel at home and took great care of me as it was my first solo trip. Besides that, the hotel is located in the heart of Thamel and every place is 2 mins walk away. They offer a great variety of breakfast options, from Indian to English breakfast. The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this place.

A great place! The coffee is amazing. Breakfast was great. In a very good location in Thamel, and the staff are super. Very helpful, very nice. They took my laundry next door, and the laundrymat lost my bag at first. One of the staff went back over several times to check and eventually brought it back when they found it. I'd certainly stay here again next time I'm in Kathmandu. Only positive experiences.

The breakfast was brilliant, there is a thali available on weekdays until 2pm and the staff are so hospitable and willing to make any changes to your food order. There are also the options of standard set breakfasts eggs, bread and fried potatoes and vegetables. The highlights of Hotel Earth House are the wonderful staff. Even though we only initially booked to stay for one night, we ended up staying for much longer because the staff made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. The bed was comfortable with soft sheets, and the shower always had hot water which was a lovely bonus. We had a few complications which meant that we had to reschedule our flights and stay in Kathmandu for a few more days and we had no hesitation returning to Hotel Earth House! Highly recommended for a comfortable stay in a good location for a reasonable price.

Whole crew is very friendly and the location is wonderful for discovering thamel and surround area. Comfy beds, good restaurant.

Cleanings could be done bit better

Everything was clean, the staff is at the top, very smiling, very helpful, super nice, the breakfast was incredible, I highly recommend this hotel.

Toalets get wet when someone shower, but there are not so many guest in one floor, so it is possible to maintain it dry. You need your own toilet paper.
